  1. I believe that season ticket sales are about 20% down on last season which isn't bad considering the club's change of status.
  2. Should keep Hamilton solvent for the next couple of seasons.
  3. Seems a sensible approach from the club. The capacity of the Main Stand is in the region of 2,200 which will be more than adaquate for either of these fixtures.
  4. I think that the Saints will go down but I'm not sure whether it will be final day tears in Paisley or Perth.
  5. What size of crowd is there ?
  6. Great pity. I had high hopes for the lad based on what little we saw last season.
  7. Ahead of Vetle Andersen, surely not !
  8. Mark Brown Don Cowie Marius Niculae
  9. The post Scotty removed was potentially defamatory, any similar posts may well result in the thread being closed and will certainly result in an appropriate sanction against the poster.
  10. Beggers can't be choosers.
  11. Bob Harris has contracted the HN51 strain of bird-flu on hols so that would put a delay on any deal if there was one going to happen Not if our director of football wore a facemask whilst carrying out contract negotiations.
  12. Looks like Dundee might well be the only team in Scotland bar the Old Firm to pay six figure transfer fees this window and they've done so twice so far !
  13. Seems fair and in line with what most other teams in the division are charging.
  14. Around about 1,500 last season. Not nearly enough to sustain full time football.
  15. If he does stay he should be deployed in midfield rather than up front. Last season proved conclusively that he's not a striker but his energy could be put to good use in left or central midfield.
  16. Still battling relegation with two and a half hours to go.
  17. Pleased with this news.
  18. How do you see the First Division shaping up next season ? My prediction is ; Dundee ICT Morton Dunfermline Partick Q.O.S. Ross County Raith Rovs. Ayr Livingston ( After 10 point deduction for entering administration).
  19. Looks like we might be in a spot of relegation bother this week.

I'd settle for one creative midfielder and an experienced forward.
  21. Being a member of the St Johnstone backroom staff must be a much safer option than working for Livingston in any capacity.
  22. Having Foran for next season would certainly be a boost.
  23. The SPL season finished two weeks later than the SFL season so I've no problem with our boys being a bit later back to work than some of the other division one sides.

Excellent resume of the 70s (and a bit beyond) which were a golden era for the Jaggies from the moment King Willie arrived in 1971-72 - paid for with ?150 which Jock borrowed from 15 different people including his father and himself paid ?3 a week. A question. The Thistle team which won the League in 87 went undefeated until the very last game at Peterhead. But from what you say there, was the Jags side which also won (retained) it in 73 (the year Ferranti got into the SFL), in the same position? One small correction - the Falkirk Cup tie in 1979 went ahead at the 30th attempt. It was postponed 29 times. Jimmy Calder as striker! Wonderful days! He was substitute striker at Celtic Park in 1985! Must remind Baillie next time I see him what a miserable old git he was! Interesting use of the past tense Charles. Is Colin Baillie no longer a miserable git ?

Supported Inverness Thistle since I started actively following football in the late 60s much to the disappointment of my late father who was a Clach diehard.
