  1. History would seem to dictate that, despite the benifit of the parachute payment, it's notoriously difficult for teams to bounce straight back up to the SPL.
  2. OK, I'll be quiet now until morning at least !

To be fair to John Robertson, he did lead us to the semi final the season before. Brewster has the poorest cup record of any of our managers with the exception Baltacha.
  4. Without doubt they do.
  5. Nothing wrong with that, we scooped a healthy six figure windfall from a similar clause when Barry Robson moved from Dundee United to Celtic.

In that case he should choose his words more carefully.
  7. Surely you wouldn't bet against your own team ?
  8. Happy to see Esson continuing to get a run out in these Cup games. He strikes me as a very competent 'keeper and must be breathing down Mikey's neck for a regular first team start.

I suspect you would be wasting your time.
  10. We had close to 3,000 season ticket holders when we first returned to the TCS. My understanding is that the figure this season is quite a bit below 2,500.

Aye, cup success has been rare these last few seasons.
  12. The percentage sell on clause would be pretty standard these days.
  13. Charles Bannerman may be able to enlighten us but I suspect that live commentary will be from Ibrox with just half time and full time reports from Falkirk.
  14. The semi final would be a start !
  15. I'd rather keep Barry in reserve, especially if there's a prospect of extra time in tonight's game.
  16. Would anyone consider a game of football, no matter how entertaining worth ?25 ?
  17. I did indeed recall the score, it just didn't seem relevant to the topic !
  18. A very young team indeed. Still, good experience for them.
  19. I agree with Mantis !
  20. Do we have the luxury of waiting for the current crop of forwards to gain experience ? I'm not so sure.
  21. You're not seriously suggesting that he should make a playing comeback?
  22. I recall attending a Caley v Thistle Derby in the Scottish Cup proper, probably in the late 70's on the same day that Clach were entertaining Stirling Albion a few hundred yards away at Grant Street. Surely the only time that three Inverness teams were all playing in town in the National Tournament on the same day. If my ailing memory serves me right there was an earlier Thistle v Caley Derby in the Cup proper at Kingsmills just a few seasons before that.
  23. What was the score ?
  24. We might not be doomed but, if this trend continues for the whole season, the club will be down around ?250.000 on gate receipts alone, leaving aside additional lost income from catering, programmes, merchandise and the rest. Quite a hole in the club's already fragile finances.
  25. Might be the Cinderella Cup but, nevertheless, a place in a National Semi Final is at stake.
