  1. Saw that. Looks like a good bit of business by County even if it is short term.
  2. Is there anything the Charles Green and his new ' Director of Communications' will not say to pander to the moronic legions...
  3. You are very welcome and I certainly wish you well in your quest to find a new manager and escape relegation. If you ever find yourself in this part of the world why don't you come along and watch the entertainment at the TCS for yourself ?
  4. I can spell, I can use grammar appropriately but I will never get the hang of using a keyboard. Where the hell did that comma come from ? !
  5. Why not ? I say pedants of the world unite.
  6. Only the 10th of January but surely already a candidate for the most crass and cringeworthy post of 2013.
  7. No real hurry. We don't have a game for another fortnight another day of uncertainty will not be a disaster.
  8. Are they not concerned that this system was such a failure in the only other country ever to employ it that it has now been abandoned there ?
  9. He is an Aberdeen lad. Despite their own financial constraints, they could offer him twice as much as we can. A Shinnie to Aberdeen in the summer is a distinct possibility.
  10. I see that Barnsley have today sold their top scorer to divisional rivals Bolton for £300,000. An odd turn of events given their managerial state of flux. Hardly redolent of ambition. Still believe Butcher is on his way.
  11. While not too concerned about Butcher, I would be sad indeed if Adams disappeared off to Yorkshire. Would remove an element of pleasure from life.
  12. Better managers have left ICT and have been successfully replaced. Onwards and upwards. The compensation will come in useful and if we secure an ambitious young manager his salary will be less than Butcher's maybe freeing up some cash for the club.
  13. Would be much more concerned to see him depart than the management duo.
  14. One thing does concern me about Butcher going is that Richie Foran is likely to follow him.
  15. ...and pedantic...
  16. I have a strong feeling that he will go. Looking at it objectively, Barnsley are a much larger club than us with a much greater fan base and more potential than us. His salary and player budget will be much enhanced and he probably feels he still has a point to prove in management in his native land. Personally, while a bit disappointed given the season we are having, I would be far from devastated as we have a pretty good record over the years in successfully replacing departing managers. The one thing I would not relish is Butcher leaving with Malpas staying and replacing him as manager. The latter seems a good coach and has been generally successful as Butcher's right hand man but has a dismal record as a manager in his own right. Paul Hartley anyone ?
  17. Watching us draw against Killie in the cup when they were an SPL and we were not with Killie having a goal not awarded despite crossing our line by about a yard and a half. Pity about the replay.
  18. The atmosphere at Tannadice for our first really big 'home' cup game and the ovation given to the players at the end despite the result. Putting 5 past Arbroath in our very first league game even being at Telford Street cheering on a team in blue seemed counter intuitive.
  19. Graham certainly an ex SPL striker with many fine qualities but, unless an episode of his career passed me by completely, he was never prolific. A tireless worker though.
  20. Entertaining, no doubt if you are into darts, skillful, without doubt. I certainly couldn't do it. sport, no.
  21. Not sure this merits being under 'Other Sports'. Personally, can't bring myself to view an activity involving overweight middle aged men swilling beer and making a concerted effort to keep Imperial Tobacco in business as a sport. It's no more a sport than snooker or ten pin bowling.
  22. That's the one I had in mind.
  23. Which ICT player played a full match against the club whilst a signed player and not out on loan ?
  24. Whereas a predominately blue top with minor red piping is utterly unique.
  25. Having now to resort to taking my sons to Pittodrie as the only way now to bring an end the seemingly never ending round of visiting distant relatives. Ach at least it's a game of football.
