That would be a perfectly legitimate line to take if Dennis had been told that any new contract depended on how he played between now and the end of the season but not, as appears to be the case, if he had been offered a new contract unconditionally and that offer was withdrawn.

If the fact of the matter is that Dennis Wyness is belatedly being asked to "earn" a contract which was previously offered unconditionally then that is a scandal and the person responsible is untrustworthy, dishonourable and utterly unprofessional. If that has indeed happened then Dennis should walk away with his dignity an reputation intact and not a single genuine fan of ICT would be critical of him for doing so. What on earth has happened to the successful tight knit club that we had forged on team spirit and common purpose ? By the way, I agree that the negative comments regarding Charles Bannerman are unnecessary and unjustified.

I'm pleased that Duncan appears to have signed but it's done nothing to abate my fury at the way Denzil has been treated. As Scotty says, one bit of good news in what has not been a great spell for those involved in running the club.

Terrible management both on and off the pitch. The Caledonian Thistle we've all known and loved over the years seems to be disappearing before our eyes. How very sad.

I am quite sickened by the treatment of a man who has given so much to the club over the years and remains one of our better players. Someone needs to issue a full explanation.

I agree about Collins but I'm afraid our on field ills can't be blamed on the board.

It seems that Mike Smith hasn't handled this situation at all well, no surprise there ! but we need to be very careful about accusing anybody of lying. As fa as I can see, Mr Sith is guilty of incompetence rather than dishonesty.

I can't dispute Johnboy's comments about Kerr's crazy passback otherwise the Arabs may well have won but that would have been despite the officials.

Very hard luck on Dundee United who outplayed Rangers for long spells. The officials were a disgrace with United being denied a stonewall penalty and de Vries being pulled back for a very dubious foul while clean through on the goalkeeper. What do non Old Firm teams have to do toget a fair crack of the whip from Scottish officials on these big occsaions ? Maybe it's time to bring in overseas or English refs for our domestic finals.

If central belt clubs complain about travelling up the A9 to Inverness, I'd love to hear what they'd have to say about getting to Campbletown in January !
