  1. I'll still be supporting Rangers on Wednesday despite the fact that our domestic referees appear willing to cheat to pave their way to the SPL title.
  2. Those of us whos arteries were clogged up with Kingmills pies at an early age will probably not live long enough to see the inside of an old folks home !
  3. I agree entirely with Caley D.
  4. It was never a serious proposition.
  5. Congratulations to him. Surely if he's going to make the breakthrough into the first team as a regular it has to be next season.
  6. While it appears that Brewster may not have been as culpable as we all thought in matters such as the withdrawal of Denzil's contract, I'm still to be convinced, given his very poor record both here and at Tannadice, that he is a competent manager. Nevertheless, he is the man in possession and recent results have been better than the terrible spell of defeat after defeat. I'm almost pusueded that he should be given until christmas to show what he can do with his own squad of players.
  7. There would certainly be entertainment but I suspect we would be on the receiving end of too many drubbings !

I would like to see Watt retained for next season and given a chance in the first team but well done the reserves for such an outstandingly successful season.

Don Cowie is the success story of the season as far as ICT are concerned.
  10. Far from being able to achieve a record high SPL points total, we may actually be on course for a record low.

Equally bad, how can you distinquish them ?
  12. Sorry now that I decided to give this one a miss. Gretna may be in terminal decline but this is their first defeat since the split so credit where it's due. Nice to see one or two of the youngsters get a run out.
  13. Barry is worth another season and, despite his understandable recent dip in form, I'd be in favour of offering Denzil another two.
  14. I completely agree with Harry. I was disappointed when Celtic lost their final and will be equally so if Rangers don't prevail in Manchester.
  15. Too late now even to sign on anamateur contract. The deadline for that was the end of March.
  16. I have no time for the Old Firm but great to see a Scottish team in a major European final.
  17. Pity, makes the final a little less glamorous for whoever qualifies.
  18. I suspect that's exactly right. His wage demands will be too much for us to pay for a 'keeper who is likely to be second choice.
  19. Graeme Bennett is quoted in today's Press and Journal confirming that Zibi Malkowskie will be leaving at the end of the season. That, apparently, despite Brewster being keen on retaining him. The same article quotes Brewster confirming his desire to sign ndy Barrowman from Ross County but accepting that he may face stiff opposition.
  20. I always thought that Charlie had the makings of a good coach and still do. However, it may be that he's better suited to being a coach or assistant manager rather than the high profile role of manager of an SPL club. That said, he is without doubt, in my opinion, a better manager than Craig Brewster.
  21. The late George Best.
  22. Funnily enough, I'd heard a whisper to that effect just today. Seems that he's in demand despite his injury record.
  23. Following on IHE's thread about the most gifted and entertaining ICT player over the years, who is the most skillful opposition player you've seen. For me, albeit in as single match, it has to be Craig Bellammy when he was on loan at Celtic. The match was a midweek affair at the TCS which Celtic won 2-0 as I recall and Bellammy's pace and skill that night was phenonemal.

and a lot more than Brooks Mileson these days !
  25. On his day Ian Black is as gifted a player as we've had. Paul Sheerin had his momments and at the height of his powers a Wyness stepover was a sight to behold. Opponents knew it was coming but still seemed bamboozled by it. On the whole though, Iwouldn't disagree with Barry Robson.
