Cringe!!!!!!!! It was DREADFUL. Hosted by an old guy called John Mearns who was something of an Alf Garnett lookalike, it was basically a bunch of folk with Robbie Shepherd accents and dressed up in farming gear singing songs round the fire. Strewth - sounds like Aberdeen's travelling support.... Or a number of my neighbours here in rural Aberdeenshire ! -
There's a big difference between being fit enough to turn out for Montrose and being fit enough to play in the SPL !

I'd be happy with Butcher if he could commit himself sufficiently to the club including relocating to Inverness. Otherwise, I feel we should look elsewhere.

I've no problem with Butcher combining his part time position with the national team with managing ICT as that might actually be an asset but does he not have business interests in the central belt as well ? My only concern about Butcher would be how much of his time he would be able to devote to managing the club.

I disagree, it was evident for quite a while what the problem was, now some of the players have came out and said it and now we have removed the problem. I don't hink a new boss would have any difficulties in getting all the players to pull together in fact I believe that the players want to do this. I think that's probably right.

He's hardly been prolofic over the last couple of seasons.

I get the impression that although there may have been a rift between management and players the playing staff as a group are still fairly united which bodes well for the immediate future.

I doubt if he'd want to come in any event. He's probably already on the sort of salary that we could offer him and he may well feel, with some justification, that St Johnstone have at least as much prospect of being in the SPL next season as ICT.

Sacking Brewster and Malky was, unfortunately, a necessary evil. I'm sure that the vast majority of the fans will get behind the new manager whoever he may be. That's always been the way with our fans in the past and it was only the extreme circumstances prevailing in recent weeks that changed that temporarliy.
