Caley thistle against foreign teams
I was at that game, definately Alford Aberdeenshire rather than Alford Lincolnshire. Anyway isn't Ryedale Park in Scotland which would take the Gretna results out of the equation ?

Brewster At It Again!
Brewster should simply take stock.

Celtic vs Man U
They were certainly very poor against a Man. United XI.

You Tell Them Davie Boy!!
I have to say that despite the notorious " We're Top Of The League" thread TJE is usually fair and reasonable when posting on this site. Many of the comments he makes have at least some merit.

Lochaber No More
Was there not an agreement whenwe first joined the SFL that, in the interests mainly of Clach, that we wouldn't enter a team in the Highland League ?

Scotland U19 1-2 Spain Final
Maybe the future for Scottish international football is not so bleak after all.

Lochaber No More
According to today's Press & Journal, Fort William FC are at serious risk of being unable to start the season due to funding and organisational problems. There is a suggestion that Turriff United may be waiting in the wings to take their place in the Highland League. I know that the Fort are not one of the league's traditional established teams but their demise would be a huge setback for football in that shinty stronghold. Their replacement by yet another Aberdeenshire team would see the axis of the Highland League move east yet again to the point where the prefix Highland is becoming somewhat of a misnomer. Surely here is a team in the populous part of Easter Ross with sufficient ambition to want to challenge Turriff for any vacancy which may unfortunately arise.

You Tell Them Davie Boy!!
I've got a feeling that, despite David Sutherland's statement, that we havn't yet reached the conclusion to this saga. I have to say that I also have some sympathy with what TJE says.

Dargo Dods and The Wee Shyte.
The players are entitlede to take some time to consider their options. After all, they are already contracted until the end of the season.

Maybe you should stop reading that particular organ.

Did he have much else to say ?

Evidence OF Further Progress
This season, for the first time, we will not have the lowest budget in the SPL. St Mirren will be spending less than us on players' wages and we are now not far behind Kilmarnock and Dunfermline. Further evidence of continuing progress both on and off the field.

the sun dream team...
Maybe Brewster is being rated on future potential !
-
Shooting
I agree, another player who has a fine shot from distance when he has the confidencve to try is Roy McBain.

Charlie Hopeful On Black Deal
Contract negotiations with our top players are all heading in the right direction. Who would have thought that with five days to go to the start oof the new season we would still have all our squad intact.
-
Craig Dargo
Seems like a sensible precaution given his track record with injuries.
-
Tinkerville Team
Did Campbell do enough to justify a contract ?

RESPECT
To my mind there are three people who epitomise ICT; Jim Calder, Charlie Christie and the one and only Ross Tokely. The utmost respect big man.

Juventus to be relegated to Serie B
To be fair, I don't believe that there is any suggestion that the players are implicated.

next season strip?
I really wonder about how effective Mik Smith is as Chief Exeutive.

Could we steal this idea from Aberdeen?
Sounds like a good idea.
-
Celtic Not Looking Very Good
We should have beaten an off form Rangers side early last season, if Celtic are going to start badly this year let's hope we can take advantage.
-
Peterhead v ICT
At least the team have had a more meaningful test than the strolls in the sun against poor opposition we've had so far. Denzil's continuing lack of sharpness in front of goal is a worry.

Could we steal this idea from Aberdeen?
Have to agree that straightforward sponsorship is muchsimpler and easier to administer.

Your 1st Choice Eleven
Duncan remains a very competent player but we didn't pay £65,000 for Rankin to leave him, or even start him, on the bench.
