  1. I fear that there will be a gradual decline from where we are now.
  2. Especially this season where there are no obvious fall guys and no great likelyhood of anyone going adrift at the botom of the league affording the rest of the mediocre clubs such as ourselved a bit of a comfort zone.
  3. The arrogance of Old Firm officials is as bad as that of their fans.
  4. Kris Boyd has every right to chose not to play for his country but, in my opinion he does not have the prerogative to pick and chose which manager he plays under just because he seems to have taken a huff that Burley doesn't rate him. Having turned his back on his country and having snubbed not just the current manager but the nation by doing so, I would be very disapointed and let down to see him ever selected for Scotland again no mater how well he might be playing or who the national manager might be at the time.
  5. I know that the start of the season has been mixed with form and results, particularly at home, leaving much to be desired but, so pessimistic was I about our prospects this season, that I've actually been pleasantly surprised that we are as high as seventh and have had a fairly good start to the season. Do others feel that we've done better this season than they expected, that we've done worse than they anticipated or much as they thought ?
  6. Unfortunately for Clach, the lowest crowd is likely to be at Grant Street.
  7. We aquired a six foot three plus Centre back during the Summer transfer window. What we really need is a reliable one.
  8. I suspect that we've seen the last of him as an ICT player.
  9. I too suspect that he secretly follows the fortunes of Caley THISTLE !
  10. To be fair, in my opinion,Radio Scotland's coverage of domestic football thius season has been better than ever.
  11. I'd certainly like to see him given a run out. Brewster, to his credit, doesn't seem afraid to give the youngsters a chance so we might well see him in the first team before the end of the season. He would offer us much needed width.
  12. If the club are looking to drum up fresh support then they should concentrate on initiatives with schools. The kids are the future, the more of them who develop an early affinity with their local club rather than the Old Firm, Manchester United or Chelsea the healthier the future will be.
  13. There seems to be a really good crop of young players in the pipeline.
  14. I wouldn't disagree with that.
  15. I would have agreed with you about Bobby a couple of seasons ago but he's really now just a little past it for this level of football.
  16. I think your right RIG but we've not sold out for a Celtic match since the ground became all seater.
  17. The fact is, much as the club would love higher gates, they can't afford to cut admission costs and remain a viable full time outfit with a squad of reasonably well paid players able to at least compete at SPL level.
  18. The quarter finals of a major nation competition. Surely we can fill one bus.
  19. I tend to agree that we have a pretty fair squad of players at the moment. I would prefer it if the club concentrated on those key members of the squad who will be out of contract and therefor free to talk to other clubs come January. As far as further recruitment is concerned, with the development of Jamie Duff this season, my only real continuing concern is that we don't have a single seasoned forward on the books. The strikers we have are no doubt skillful which much potential but to make progress at SPL level, rather than battling relegatio, I believe that we need to bring in a capable mature forward with something of a proven record at this level or similar. The trouble is that such players are thin on the ground and tend to command the sort of salary that might just puncture our wage structure and the last time we went down that particular route was hardly a resounding success.
  20. and mediocre foreign mercenaries at that !

    On a LSM

A very worthwhile project indeed if anyone has the time and enthusiasm.
  22. Have we had a disproportionate amount of injuries of late ?
  23. We certainly live in very uncertain times. A lot of Premiership clubs borrowed on the strength of the next TV rights deal being even more lucrative than the last. That's surely optimistic, to say the least, in the current climate.
