  1. With the number of strikers now at the club I wonder if it would benifit the club and the player for Dean MacDonald to go out on loan until january
  2. Brewster would be a great attacking option to have on the bench just as long as he now realises that the rules do permit substitutions before the 85th minute.
  3. Proof that Mike Noble was a much better footballer than a singer.
  4. I continue to have reservations about this appointment and the manner in which it was made but we're all ICT fan and should give our wholehearted backing to the team and our new manager. I'd like nothing better than for Craig Brewster to prove me wrong and be a resounding success in his second stint as managr.
  5. Transport and remoteness of location were once a problem for business in Inverness but that was partially resolved by the opening of the Caleonian Canal and more or less ceased to be factor wth the arrival of the railways in the 1860s. I was awaare that our club were a little behind the times but didn't relalise it was that serious.
  6. To be fair, County fans to genuinely aspire to be in the first division.
  7. For a start, I would have been inclined to much more firmly test St Johnstone's resolve as far as Own Coyle is concerned. If we were looking to Aberdeen for a replacement then I believe thay either Jimmy Nicholl or Sandy Clark would have been more promising candidates than Brewster as indeed would have been Rae of Dundee. Another candidate who still has strong domestic connection with Inverness is John Robertson. I know that David Sutherland was less than impressed by his conduct during his departure to Hearts but his sussequent managerialcredentials are much stronger than Craig Brewster as indeed are those of Steve Paterson and Neale Cooper. So by my calculation that's seven possible alternatives without looking as far south as the central belt. That said, whether we like it or not, Brewster is the new manager and we should all get behind him and the team in striving for success.

More than once surely. The Jags played beautiful football at least half a dozen times !
  9. None of what you predict would be astonishing.
  10. DJS Dundee United were once known as Dundee Hibernian so, given their heritage, that would be the last thing they would be singing.
  11. No wonder Parkie doesn't fancy being a manager in his own right if that's the result of his half time team talk !
  12. The club are under no legal obligation to advertise, set any closing date or indeed formally interview.
  13. The boy had one stinker of a game. It happens to most 'keepers from time to time. I'm sure he'll be able to put it behind him.
  14. For what it's worth, I think we have a very decent squad apart from lack of cover in defence.
  15. You're right of course Gringo. There are many many worse things in life than your football team being relegated.
  16. I am firmly in the not Brewster camp. I think it is a very poor appointment but I would be genuinely delighted to be proved wrong. Craig Brewster seems like a decent man. He behaved honourably in his move to Dundee united in taking a stance which assisted the club in obtaining maximum compensation for him and his coaching team. However the fact remains that his most recent foray into management was a disaster with Dundee United winning only three of over thirty matches when he was in charge. I my opinion it would have been better to appoint an umproven manager ather thaone who is, so far at least, a proven failure. Tht said, I sincerely wish Craig luck in trying to turn around our fortunes this season.
  17. Do we know who the assistant is to be ? If Park is reatained at least there will be some consistency and experience.
  18. That would seem to be something of a priority for our new manager.
  19. Did we actually speak directly to any managerial candidate other than Craig Brewster ? If not, why not ?
  20. I'm not in the least concerned about the manner of his departure. He left to manage a bigger club on a larger salary. A bonus, from his point of view, was that they were his boyhood heroes. What does cocern me greatly is the fact that he failed so badly at Tannadice where he had decent resourses and, initially at least, enousmous goodwill from the fans and his influencial chairman. There is little doubt that Dunee United would have been relegated had they not dismissed Brewster and, to be frank, I'm more than a little worried that ICT will now suffer that fate.
  21. A poor decision in my opinion entirely lacking in ambition. I very much hope I'm proved wrong but I fear for our place in the SPL come the end of the season.
  22. I miss them more and more with each passing day.
  23. Funnily enough that's what I heard too from a very reliable friend of a friend.
  24. It's true to say that Graeme Bennett has a low profile background but nevertheless seems t have done a pretty decent job iover the years in attracting both player and managers to the club. The figure of ?40,000 mentioned for directors emoluments is barely over 1% of turnover so largely insignifigant. here is a case for bringing in a higher profile director of football on a full time basis but if that person was to carry any real weight and influence they would command a six figure salary which would mean sacrificing two first team players. I'm not sure that's a price worth paying given that Graeme is doing a perfectly good job at present.
