  1. Just voted in the European Parliamentary election. Very much looking forward to doing so again in five years time.
  2. We were ultimately disappointed but, with a third place finish, play off semi final and Scottish Cup semi final all on a shoestring budget, I think that's very harsh.
  3. Very pleased to see the club make such a clear and unambiguous statement so quickly. There is no doubt that communication, or lack of it, has been a serious issue for a long time but that seems to have improved greatly since the arrival of the new CEO. Whether or not that is a coincidence, it is a very welcome development and credit wherever it's deserved.
  4. I should have clarified that it bodes well for us. I would be delighted to see Dundee "scoosh" the league in precisely the same manner as 2009/10
  5. Plain clothed Mountie ? Isn't the horse a bit of a giveaway?
  6. More money than sense then. Bodes well for next season.
  7. We have a manager and a very competent one at that. Hopefully, the question of our next manager will not arise for several years to come.
  8. Given the gulf between what AS thinks we should be spending and what we can realistically afford, I am more concernedabout his grasp of basic arithmetic rather than grammar.
  9. By whom ??
  10. Pleased with that. The lad can certainly do a job at Championship level and, with another season's experience under his belt, possibly in the Premiership too.
  11. Actually, whilst not blaming the player, I do apportion an element of blame to the club. We were so keen to cash in on the fee from UEFA for his involvement in the Euros that we handed the player the most lucrative contract in our history when signing on fee, salary and appearance bonuses were included. I appreciate that it is easier to speak with the benefit of hindsight but that was a mistake which has cost us dearly with very little received in return.
  12. Not sure about revenge but good business for County and sensible moves for the players who can play at a higher level for double the salary without having to relocate and without County having to finance relocation and temporary accommodation in the meantime.
  13. Ridgers is, in any event, every bit as good at a third of the cost and Cammy McKay is an increasingly able deputy.
  14. If you read my post you will see that I am not blaming the player.
  15. Looking increasingly likely a straight and stark choice between leaving on WTO rules and risking hundreds of thousands of jobs or revoking Article 50 and remaining. Whilst all logic suggests the latter will prevail we cannot underestimate the xenophobic nutters and their populist appeal to the lowest common denominator. No scope for complacency.
  16. If memory serves me right, we refused Robbo permission to speak to Hearts last time around and he resigned and went anyway. Hopefully, we have learned that lesson and, given how that move worked out for him in the end, so has Robbo.
  17. We are where we are. We might have been unfortunate to have been twice relegated from the top tier but it's no use crying over spilt milk. The important thing now is not how we fell out of the Premiership but how we get back there before we settle as a mid Championship side.
  18. Amusing to see how many have risen to the bait. Job done for the OP.
  19. True but, at the same time, he has had over two hundred thousand pounds from the club without offering much at all in return. Better for all concerned if he moves on. OFW can do what he's paid for and we can use at least some of the money on someone who actually contributes.
  20. Agreed. Although Robbo should be very cautious when considering any offer. Some managers are a good fit for certain clubs. John Robertson has twice been a successful manager at ICT but has never really enjoyed success elsewhere. In fact, he should perhaps bear in mind that no manager has ever left ICT to enjoy success at any other club.
  21. Let's be fair and let them have one of the above.
  22. Disappointing but no surprise to anyone. With Polworth gone as well the .midfield will have a very different look to it next season. However, we have lost far better players and still prospered. An opportunity to rebuild and refresh.
  23. The new stadium at Kingsford will still be closer to the city centre than Cove's ground and a good deal more accessible. Still, Cove are well organised and have a bit of money behind them. I wouldn't be surprised to see them become a fixture in the SPFL.
  24. Well, the end of another season which ultimately ended in disappointment but showing considerable promise for next year Anyway, enough of my personal failure in the Prediction League and time once again to thank Gringo for all the time and effort he puts in to allow us all to have a bit of fun. Thanks Gringo, great job as ever.
