  1. Personally, the only emotion I would have in that event is relief.
  2. I agree. My one criticism of Robbo is that he is too often too slow to change things when they are not working.
  3. Try to keep up ?
  4. I do honestly think that the continuing disconnect between the club and the fans is having an effect on home crowds. We are not the best supported club in the world but, given our league form, I suspect that we would get another three or four hundred at each home game had the board not soured relations. It's not too late to put that right but the club need to be much more professional and much less high handed and dismissive in their dealings with the fans.
  5. I doubt very much that the very limited and entirely unilateral action taken by the club without consultation will satisfy the requirements of the SFA for Silver Licence status. Encouraging though that they have undertaken to review every three months Then again, they seem to have given quite a few undertakings which they then failed to fulfil. I suppose all we can do is wait and see.
  6. Nor had I but that is hardly surprising since the club communicate next to nothing these days.
  7. I understand that Neil Doncaster received remuneration of £247,000 last year including a £110,000 "performance bonus". Given is level of competence, that strikes me as about £220,000 too much. His Highland League equivalent is paid expenses only and does a far more efficient and effective job.
  8. Absolutely. I don't get to every home game these days for various reasons but I would certainly set up a standing order to purchase tickets for every game. I am certain there are many in the same boat and there is a potential for a decent bit is extra revenue here. The problem might be that, right now, there doesn't seem to be anyone at the club with sufficient IT skills to maintain the official website with up to date information far less sell half time draw tickets in this sensible way.
  9. Yes but at least it only dented an alloy rather than wrecking our suspension?
  10. A bit harsh. Grim was getting pumped 5-1 at East End Park last season and vieing with Falkirk for second bottom spot for the first third of the season. There remains much to be done, especially on the attacking front, but there has been encouraging progress and Robbo is doing a very decent job considering the very limited financial backing he gets from the board. We need to be a little patient and tolerant of the odd bump in the road. Not exactly dynamic and vastly entertaining but still unbeaten in the league and potentially one win away from too spot.
  11. I would be delighted if JH got the job. One fewer potential promotion rivals to worry about.
  12. Pity, I would have preferred him to stay at least until our visit to Tannadice.
  13. Football stewards and the excercise of common sense is not a combination often seen.
  14. A draw was probably a fair result in a fairly uninspiring match. Once more, we were pretty toothless in the final third although both Austin and McKay injected more urgency and seemed to carry more of a threat when they came on. I would be inclined to start with Austin next time out and, assuming we are still in need of a goal midway through the second half, bring young Daniel on at least quarter of an hour earlier.
  15. Disgraceful but no surprise. Pandering to the needs of Celtic and a team who are very fortunate to have been admitted to the league system at all. Both these teams have a big enough advantage as it is with every single semi final and every final being played in their home city without making it as difficult as possible for away fans to travel for ridiculous kick off times on a Sunday. Nothing will change until the personnel running our game are changed for some who are prepared to be less Weegiecentric. No great love for either of them but hoping for a Hearts v Aberdeen final.
  16. While Dobbie is, of course, a prolific striker, it would be dangerous and naive to think that by neutralising him we would snuff out Queen's goal threat. Todd and Harkins are both considerable threats as well.
  17. Money indeed which, as far as I am aware, is something that we don't have in great abundance. A very important reason for the club to consult properly and in good faith with legitimate interested parties including the duly elected board of whatever CJT are calling themselves these days. Vital that we get this right.
  18. That is, of course, your prorogutive. Perhaps, in the circumstances, you could leave this thread to the many of us who do.
  19. Assuming that County, have at last, learned to count.
  20. ...and I speak as someone who hardly rates as Caley D's number one fan ?
  21. Not privy to what went on but very clearly that does not cover it. It strikes me as another example of those representing the club being high handed, arrogant and not fulfilling promises and undertakings made. It's not too late for matters to be resolved but it does need the club to start acting in a reasonable and constructive ways. A club is nothing without it's fans and, right now, the present regime seems to be going a long way towards alienating many of them.
  22. Very well done to your son and to you and your wife as well. Ninety percent of the population of Inverness seldom make the short journey to East Longman so fans that do go to such lengths are very much appreciated.
  23. He indulged in a fair bit of thuggery and mindless indiscipline when with us too. A very capable player but not a particularly pleasant individual once he crosses the white line.
  24. Agreed. By far his best position. Always looks like the Premiership quality player he is when played there.
  25. I think I need to lie down in a dark room for an hour having just rated Willie Collum as 'Good'. However, credit where it's due.
