  1. Because we do not have a natural finisher. All the more reason for Daniel McKay to get an extended spell in the starting XI. If you're good enough you're old enough.
  2. Robbie Neilson to be confirmed as new Dundee United manager today.
  3. The dedicated email address is very well qualified to address these sort of issues.
  4. Quite right after all Highland Derbies have ended in a bloodbath. The joy of Highland League football is the mingling of fans and lack of stewarding. Had been swithering about staying over last night and going to this. Rather pleased that I opted for an afternoon at home by the fire instead.
  5. That would be the two who had more than three times the budget that JR has, both lost the dressing room, one started our decline into relegation and the other finished the job.
  6. Took place without incident. No divine thunderbolt. Inverness takes a modest step into the twenty first century.
  7. Perhaps we should concentrate on our continuing inability to score and win matches rather than the misfortune of a player who served us extremely well for a number of seasons before being helped out the door as a cost cutting measure.
  8. They each need to be given the opportunity of starting the next half dozen games at least.
  9. He may have taken the wrong player off but he certainly, on that occasion put the right player on. Calder was the best player on the pitch for the last third of the game.
  10. Personally, the only emotion I would have in that event is relief.
  11. I agree. My one criticism of Robbo is that he is too often too slow to change things when they are not working.
  12. Try to keep up ?

  15. I do honestly think that the continuing disconnect between the club and the fans is having an effect on home crowds. We are not the best supported club in the world but, given our league form, I suspect that we would get another three or four hundred at each home game had the board not soured relations. It's not too late to put that right but the club need to be much more professional and much less high handed and dismissive in their dealings with the fans.
  16. He could certainly teach his two immediate predecessors a great deal about man management.
  17. He could double his salary but failure to secure promotion at the end of the season would likely see him sacked. His job at ICT is not half done yet but he's making good progress. I believe that it's in his interests and the interest of the club to stay on and finish what he's started.
  18. I doubt very much that the very limited and entirely unilateral action taken by the club without consultation will satisfy the requirements of the SFA for Silver Licence status. Encouraging though that they have undertaken to review every three months Then again, they seem to have given quite a few undertakings which they then failed to fulfil. I suppose all we can do is wait and see.
  19. Nor had I but that is hardly surprising since the club communicate next to nothing these days.

  21. I understand that Neil Doncaster received remuneration of £247,000 last year including a £110,000 "performance bonus". Given is level of competence, that strikes me as about £220,000 too much. His Highland League equivalent is paid expenses only and does a far more efficient and effective job.
  22. Absolutely. I don't get to every home game these days for various reasons but I would certainly set up a standing order to purchase tickets for every game. I am certain there are many in the same boat and there is a potential for a decent bit is extra revenue here. The problem might be that, right now, there doesn't seem to be anyone at the club with sufficient IT skills to maintain the official website with up to date information far less sell half time draw tickets in this sensible way.
  23. Yes but at least it only dented an alloy rather than wrecking our suspension?
  24. A bit harsh. Grim was getting pumped 5-1 at East End Park last season and vieing with Falkirk for second bottom spot for the first third of the season. There remains much to be done, especially on the attacking front, but there has been encouraging progress and Robbo is doing a very decent job considering the very limited financial backing he gets from the board. We need to be a little patient and tolerant of the odd bump in the road. Not exactly dynamic and vastly entertaining but still unbeaten in the league and potentially one win away from too spot.
  25. I would be delighted if JH got the job. One fewer potential promotion rivals to worry about.
