  1. I'll take that lineup :clapping03: Good to see Markus back
  2. I had planned on going to this game, but 'for the good of the team' i'm going to stay in Aberdeen. Today was my 5th game so far this season, and we've come away with no points from all of them. So if I stay at home, we'll get the win :021:
  3. Was really disappointed with his challenge today, it was totally unnecessary. Looked a soft pen from where I was sitting today (in fact i joked before the game that Lee Miller would dive for a pen today), but there was no need to go charging in on him. Instead push him wide and try to block any shot/cross. Proctor has to come back in for him against Gretna
  4. Aberdeen Team News: Darren Mackie (ankle), Michael Hart (back), Andrew Considine (ankle), Jackie McNamara (hamstring) and Zander Diamond (ankle) are still sidelined. As a result, Calderwood is set to name the same squad who took part in Saturday's 1-0 win over St Mirren. Aberdeen (from): Langfield, Mair, Touzani, Byrne, Foster, Aluko, Maguire, Nicholson, Severin, Clark, Young, Jamie Smith, de Visscher, Miller, Lovell, D Smith, Jonathan Smith, Soutar.
  5. I mentioned this in the Kilmarnock tickets thread, would be wonderful to have that happen for this game. The papers would all be expecting another "lowest SPL attendence" story, and arrive to find an overspill of home fans :021: 3 points against Aberdeen and there is a very good chance this'll happen!
  6. Northern golf club, Aberdeen. Should be.... interesting :022:
  7. I've always been supremely confident before Dons games and left disappointed. This time i'm not so confident, especially with Aberdeen's excellent home record. Hopefully that's a sign that we'll get the win then!!
  8. Joanna's nightclub perchance Bowl 2000?
  9. With bells on :021: 2nd "home" game of the season, and no school the next day :016:
  10. But full time employement does! Zander would have to pick a paper-round to support himself to survive his part-time Elgin City contract...
  11. Took this from a thread on Pie and Bovril... Watching Jim Weir on 'Shire TV and he confirmed that Garry will be at Montrose till the end of the season which is good news so roll on Arbroath Bit disappointed, as I thought he showed enough in pre-season to suggest a run out this season. Hopefully they sign new contracts with us and will be better players as a result of their full season's worth of SFL experience :clapping03:
  12. Fingers crossed we had some sort of sell on clause inserted in the transfer, as 15%, 10% or even 5% of ?1million would be fantastic for the club.
  13. Whilst back in Elgin over the xmas period i read that story in the Northern Scot (local paper). The Elgin City manager made it very clear that they were desperate for Zander to stay on, and were concerned that a team from Divison 1 or 2 would look to take him on loan for the last 6 months of the season, on the back of his impressive performances. Made plans to see Elgin City v. Stranraer whilst I was back, but the game was called off with frozen pitch. Am i right in saying that Zander still trains in Inverness at least for a bit of the week? Since he's on a full time contract with us, whereas most of Elgin City are on part-time? On another note, I've got a few Montrose supporting mates who are delighted with how Garry Wood is playing for Montrose. Many had him as their MotM yesterday. Fingers crossed we can maybe get Garry back for the 2nd half of the season and send Rory out on loan?
  14. having to listen to the celtic game, crapping myself at the pause after "there's been another goal in Inverness.... who's it for?"
  15. Is the radio coverage only available in the Inverness area? I'm back in Aberdeen and my laptop soundcard is knackered. Had a quick scan through the FM frequency of my digital radio and found every game apart from the ICT game :020: Now I know how you overseas lot feel!!
  16. Well I hope Caley feck up your treble... So do I!! :021:
  17. Ach, I had a feeling that they'd score that corner for some reason. :020: The only slight thing that is going my way is my ?10 treble today. Tottenham, Sheffield United and (ahem...) Falkirk.
  18. ahh Jim Spence commentating... Pretty sure it was he that commentated the 1-0 win away to Dundee United. Cue the overuse of the phrase: "Tidy play" He also rather likes Mike Fraser from what I remember...
  19. Hopefully a couple of hundred more tickets have been snapped up as a result of yesterday's win :clapping03: Dare I say another win against falkirk will cause a home end sell out?
  20. simmer down :004: i'll have some of what you are having!
  21. I almost will... We've had our luck in the last 5 games, which many will agree that could have weilded 0 points instead of 3. But a change in formation, forced by Wyness's injury, has worked wonders. His Wilson and Bayne super subs tactics have been a breath of fresh air as well. Keep it up Brew and i'll definitely admit I was wrong.
  22. What about Mikey Fraser who had a few clean sheets, followed by incredible performances against Celtic and Hearts? Voted MotM today by the radio pundits
  23. Hearts keeper pushes Russell, gets sent off for 2nd yellow!! Hearts used all their subs so an outfield player must go in :021:
