GRETNA -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
Gretna just had a defensive blunder, which needed a goal line clearance. Other than that the only thing of note is a Yantorno free quick that went close. Need another goal

Watering hole for the 31st (CIS Cup match)
I do actually frequent Triple Kirks! But because of my mates wants of cheap drink and loose female students :rolleyes02: I prefer places like the Howff, Prince of Wales, Tilted Wig, Black Friars and go to Slains quite a lot because I play football with a few of the staff.

Watering hole for the 31st (CIS Cup match)
The pies were especially good :021: I'll finish work at 3.25pm, then home to change followed by pints and dinner in Belmont Street somewhere... Think i'll book Thursday morning off work just in case :023:

Aberdeen Game
The aberdeen defence have played against Brew in training for months. I'd feel a bit better off with Niculae who they won't have played against before.

CIS Cup

Beware of the Trojan Horse
Here's the team sheets Kilmarnock (from): Combe, Lilley, Ford, Wright, Fowler, Locke, Hamill, Johnston, Bryson, Jarvis, Nish, Koudou, Gibson, Rascle, Murray, Flannigan, Noble. Inverness CT (from): Fraser, Tokely, Hastings, McCaffrey, Munro, McGuire, Morgan, Black, Duncan, Rankin, McBain, Cowie, Vigurs, Hart, Wilson, McDonald, Bayne, Wyness, Niculae, Brewster, Malkowski. Quite a few of those Killie players are doubtful, or unlikely to play at all e.g. Locke, Jarvis etc. Still getting quite good odds on an ICT win. I put ?10 on us to win, and Celtic to beat Gretna and i'll get back ?41 if it comes off. If the odds are the same today; thinking of sticking another ?10 down :024:

Beware of the Trojan Horse
I too have been revelling in the Killie injury crisis, and hope we can dispatch them accordingly. Always have a bad feeling about players like Danny Invincible, so i'm glad he's out, as well as them being Naismith'less. 3 points would be grand considering Gretna are playing Celtic, and the likes of St Midden, Falkirk, Aberdeen aren't playing great right now

CIS Cup
I'm delighted. Get the chance to give/get abuse from pupils and staff, and have a walk home instead of the usual trains/bus/car.

MINIBUS - RANGERS
I have a wedding reception in Glasgow on the evening of Nov 3, so was thinking of going to Ibrox first before heading back into Glasgow City Center. How much would a seat be on the bus? Rather get a supporters bus, than get the train down from Aberdeen picking up unwashed huns at every stop :023:

Upcoming Scotland games
Since we fly out on the Monday, we'll also be taking in the Hampden experience on the Sunday. Just think, I will be standing on the same pitch which Mikolaunas will get sent off for diving on. Might take a wee divot to France with me...

Upcoming Scotland games
All in all i've worked out the whole week will cost me about ?300, which includes Tickets for both games, flights, hostels, buses and a guess at budget for food and drink. I move out of my rented flat on the day before Lithuania, and move into my newly bought flat on Sat 15th, so i guess i'm saving a bit of money on rent.

Upcoming Scotland games
4 sleeps to go :crazy07: Managed to get the week off work (since going onto a supply contract), so a group of around 12 of us are going to the Lithuania game, as well as making the trip to France. Anyone else going??

League Cup next round draw
I didn't realise that there was a seeding system for the next round of the League Cup, but i'll definitely take the likes of East Fife ahead of Celtic!! *that is of no disrespect to East Fife, as they did what we couldn't do against St Mirren!! Really glad of it as well!! If we can get through this next round, the Q/F could bring some much needed revenue and the possibility of a Final :clapping03: Seeded Celtic Rangers Aberdeen Hearts Kilmarnock Hibernian Falkirk Inverness CT Unseeded Dundee United Motherwell Dunfermline Athletic Gretna Dundee Hamilton Academical Partick Thistle East Fife

Zander/Zander on loan to Elgin (Merged)
I know a lot of Elgin fans who go to most of the games, so will make sure they report back with how Zander is doing. I just hope the Elgin players don't take him out on the **** in Elgin :029:

The radio said Lee Wilkie is playing up front :024: Heard a rumour about it on Pie and Bovril as well...

BREW CAPTION
Must remind myself to use those subs earlier next time :024: ... Oh look a ladybug.

Zander/Zander on loan to Elgin (Merged)
:015: I would love to know what relative said that.... :024: His discipline?!? So where does Blackie come under that category?! The only reason Zander isn't getting a game is because of his lack of experience and the fact Charlie didn't quite have the balls to put him on... There's not a problem with his conduct. Coming from an extremely reliable source. Thanks for clearing that up Zander.... Hope we'll see more of you once we are under new management.... :022: :022: The clue is in "Zander's" (*Caley*) avatar :023:

Zander/Zander on loan to Elgin (Merged)
I'm just going on what I was told. There is no reason for me to lie about this, as I think Zander is one of our most talented players and would have him in the squad every week if it were down to me. P.S. It was his discipline off the field that I was referring to, not on field discipline.
-
Zander/Zander on loan to Elgin (Merged)
I spoke to one of his relatives recently, who explained why he wasn't getting a game. I'm not going into details, but his discipline wasn't acceptable for an SPL player. In my opinion he should be playing as well, but he really needs to get himself sorted off the pitch first.

Which Midfielder should we let go [merged]
Roy for me. Doesn't do anything in 90 mins to merit a regular slot in the first eleven. Everyone goes on about how "solid" he is: What does that mean?? To me it means he poses no attacking threat whatsoever and is predictable. If we wanted a solid player as a left winger we could play a defender there surely?? You'd think by now he's had plenty of time to learn how to use his right foot as well :024: Not in a good mood this morning, so Roy's getting the brunt of it.

Gary Wood
According to a Montrose fan I know, Wood was fantastic last night. Excellent stuff. Was really impressed with his pre-season displays.

New defender signed on loan
Imagine him without hair and three years older, and you'll see its him. Then again look at the picture on the official website. Im confused The one on the ICT official website is 100% him.

New defender signed on loan
I've played against him between the ages of 11 and 15, and the boy is absolute class :021: After he moved to Chelsea, I've always kept tabs on his progress, so I could say "I've played against him". Great signing. Aberdeen wanted him as well, my wee mole is telling me...

Gary Wood
I saw the last 10/15 mins of the Elgin game yesterday, but Garry Wood never saw much of the ball. Various folk I spoke to said he was looking good though
