  1. ok so its now down to 5 games and its all the same at the top except Dunfermline are out of it. I think we can afford two draws (QOS and Dunfermline) and a defeat to Dundee. 2 draws and a defeat in 5. Thats allowing for Dundee to draw one more match.
  2. I wouldn't go as far as saying they'll lose it but i think it's the best chance we've got of them dropping points before the final game. I'm pretty confident Partick can get the draw and i'll probably take this one in as i can't make Dumfries.
  3. No i believe you i just think its shocking that we can't get enough supporters together for what is a massive game. I reckon some of the players will be missing this one too, They don't want to miss Coronation Street.
  4. Bully at right back? We going for another Pavels situation here?
  5. 5 matches to go and we're top of the league and theres no bus going? :finger03:
  6. John Tuffey i think his name is, had a blinder against us but i'm confident Esson is good enough for no.1 if we are promoted. A good center back and left back is needed and another striker to compete with Rooney. Replacing Stratford, Eagle, Lionel, and McBain with better players would be good but our first 11 is actually quite strong.
  7. If he is i don't think its that big a blow. Bully can do the same job as Grant, I actually think he's one of the only players that is expendible at this time in the season as we have adequate cover.
  8. Didn't even realise tickets were on sale yet Thanks for the heads up.
  9. you are wrong, Caley can afford one loss and for Dundee to win all their games , and Caley would still go up Your right but that means our only defeat would come against Dundee. We are actually allowed to draw one of the last 4 matches and lose to Dundee and still win the league. This however doesn't fill me with confidence as we could lose to either 4 teams before judgement day 59.
  10. Wyness and Ritchie both scored over 20 goals in 2 or 3 seasons together so thats got to be the best scoring record. I just don't know how many exactly, I'm sure Scotty could help us out on that one though. I seem to remember him posting Ritchies record not that long ago and it was something like 21,22 and 22. Wyness had a record slightly better than this while playing alongside him.
  11. I actually thought that performance of Imrie's against Motherwell in the cup, was the one that seemed to kick start our season. It was of course, his last game for us. I wish he was still here. I'd rather still have Dougie. I always said we needed to keep him as a back up for any of our midfield and that we would earn more money keeping him until we won promotion than flogging him to Hamilton. We managed to get through those games without Foran but i just hope it doesn't happen again where either Foran or Hayes is out. He would have helped us out with freshening things up for tuesday night as well.
  12. Having almost dropped 2 points today all my belief was almost gone. I now know this 4 point lead is NOTHING. It can easily be thrown away and we really need those 3 points on Tuesday, putting 7 points on Dundee would be an excellent turn around from being 15 points behind. The pressure would be on them to beat Partick away on saturday which i am thinking about lending my support to Partick for the day.
  13. I always find myself less likely to chant at home matches than i am at away games for the reason that everyone else is quieter. In general away support is better and i have found us to be excellent fans on the road over the past few months. I haven't been to a home game this season so can't compare it to how it was in the past though. My first home game of the season is against Dundee
  14. I walked to Maryhill from Paisley for the Partick game last week (around 9 miles) and i could have walked more but my body was in agony the next day . Dunno how you can manage a Highland March walking every day.
  15. I used to agree with this but i seriously think over the past 2 months players like Duncan, Munro, Tokely, McBain, Golly and Proctor wouldn't look too bad in that squad of 2004. was that sarcasm :004: Doesn't quite work the same online eh? Seriously though i think the way Rooney, Hayes and Foran have been playing is almost as exciting as Wyness, Ritchie, Robson and Bingham.
  16. I used to agree with this but i seriously think over the past 2 months players like Duncan, Munro, Tokely, McBain, Golly and Proctor wouldn't look too bad in that squad of 2004.
  17. I'm thinking the exact same thing for any central belters who can't make Queens on Saturday. Fancy taking in Dundee at Partick?
  18. Yeah thats correct and Foran now has 13 i think, possibly 14. From midfield that is excellent.
  19. Who's won 1st division player of the year for us before? Robson and Wyness?
  20. I'm not 100% sure but i would have a pop at saying Wyness on say 25 and Paul Ritchie on 22.
  21. I always wonder this is well. Never mind Andy Murray, amateurs can play twice a week and i know the standard isn't the same but whats an extra game of football a week? I think 3 is pushing it though and thats why County will struggle.

    Sanchez

I don't think Sanchez has been bad enough to merit a thread of his own. We should be making threads about Richie and Adam today! Not of Dan and Dani.
  23. Here is the points for the winners of the league over the past 11 years. It shows last year was the poorest the top team has ever been and i'd be surprised to see anyone winning it with less this year. We need 3 more wins to go onto 67pts. 2008/09 St Johnstone 65pts 2007/08 Hamilton 76pts 2006/07 Gretna 66pts 2005/06 St Mirren 76pts 2004/05 Falkirk 75pts 2003/04 ICT 70pts 2002/03 Falkirk 81pts 2001/02 Partick 66pts 2000/01 Livingston 76pts 1999/00 St. Mirren 76pts 1998/99 Hibernian 89pts
  24. I agree, i've got a fair collection of programmes now and always like to add to it.
