  1. Well...the drop in the ICT support from what we got in the SPL would seem to suggest we are not short of fairweather fans! I knew you would come out with the Kids argument....but you have to remember...for everyone thats born...one dies. So...it evens itself out. Fact is....where was these Inverness "football fans" back in the day when it was just Highland League on offer? To try and argue that the attendance increases have nothing to do with the level ICT are now playing at is rediculous! And they will further increase next season IF we find ourselves in the SPL! Its surprising that we have more season ticket holders this season than last season though isn't it. That doesn't seem like glory hunting to me. I honestly can't believe you think your a god just because you used to watch a highland league team thats make it big. We are all supporters of ICT whether it was before the merger or not. Your attitude sucks.
  2. He's already signed up for another year luckily GREAT. Only dundee can stop us now C*unty can too! County can catch us but if they win all their games in hand they'll be 4 points behind us. Meaning we need to lose twice or lose and draw in our last 3 matches. NO CHANCE!
  3. SURELY the league is ours now :006: Pitty Dundee didn't drop any points today but i really thought Queens was our toughest opponents left. Guess we have to go out and do it against the pars next week though. Lets win it in Ayr!
  4. Well.....how many ICT fans supported Inverness football back in the day? I did....I didnt just hop on board and decide i was going to start supporting local football coz it was a higher level of football we were seeing.....unlike the majority of our support. You cant argue with facts......ICT hs about 2500 more fans now than Caley and Thistle combined did..so...what were they all doing on match days when there were local teams needing their support? So to me....the likes of Birdy, myself and others of that ilk were more "fans" of football. If you cant see that...then...theres nothing left to say Thats complete nonsense, Your saying that the 2500 that you speak of (which is now the majority) are glory hunters? You think that more than half of our support are glory hunters? I think you need a lesson in how the modern world lives and stop living in the old days. A good percent of our support were too young to support either Caledonian or Thistle and when i go to away days its the youth i see out in force making the noise to lift the team, so are they glory hunters just because they weren't around to see a team that wasn't as successful as ICT? Its not their fault.
  5. IF Dundee draw then today is still an excellent result. It'll still be 7 points and with us only having 3 games to go that lowers Dundee's chances of catching us even more. Goal at palmerston...oooft no goal, Goal chopped off for QOS
  6. I get the impression you think fans after the merger are of less quality than pre merger fans. I don't understand what difference there is between a support from before and after. They all follow the club and understand that Ross County are our rivals but even County fans were happy to see us beat Celtic for the Highlands. This isn't about supporting Ross County as a team its about supporting Ross County for the highlands. If you don't want to go then thats fine but to wish they lost today just makes me think you support Celtic, WHY would you want Celtic to beat County...thats crazy. The same reason Rangers fans were supporting C*unty and the same reason Dundee fans will be supporting Raith and Dunfermline fans supporting Utd tomorrow. I think the relationship between County and Caley is a fair bit different to Rangers and Celtic. I also doubt Dunfermline will be favouring Utd tomorrow. Teams in the first division actually want their rivals to do well against the bigger teams.

  8. Exactly, Mon the Caley! This was only meant for a wee day out for some crack after our league season is over to promote how excellent the highland teams have done this season.
  9. Just went in and no ones there.... so nah i don't think anyone does.
  10. YASSSSSSS! Mon the Caley! What a legend Rooney is.
  11. Hey guys, maybe if we don't get promoted you can go hold each other's hands at Victoria Park in the SPL. Whats your problem? You just sound like the typical OF fans that you find down here in Paisley. I am an ICT fan, We ain't even in the Scottish Cup now so County have no rivalry against us in that cup. We'd have no rivalry in the SPL either. What does that even mean?

  13. Livi were going to win the league today if they drew, went 1-0 up after a minute and after 20 odd mins are now 3-1 down :(
  14. Martin if your up for the game I'll go with you, hopefully we can get a small ICT following though and make a good day of it. As you've said before it's not about County its about the Highlands.
  15. F**k the highland team! All makes sense now, We have a big team Celtic fan on our hands :(
  16. I'd take a draw today, I really think Partick can take a draw at least off Dundee. This is our hardest game left this season.
  17. Excellent idea Scotty, was thinking this for a while as scrolling through the early pages when you've been to the game can be a bit annoying, as well as looking for another page for the highlights. I like it.
  18. none apart from yourself So you'll just watch it on telly then... Yes I'll ask you a similar question then, Have you seen a football game that didn't involve your national country or Inverness? Or would you go and see an entertaining match such as another international match or european fixture? I really don't understand what is wrong with supporting the highlands. Are you furious that County have won today and have equalled if not beat our famous 3-1 record against Celtic?
  19. Thats a good point, Would County gain european qualification if Utd beat Raith and were guarenteed Europa League next season? I remember after QOS and Gretna both done it they were thinking of changing the rules so that only the winner of the cup would gain qualification and if that wasn't to happen the next leading team in the SPL would get it.
  20. none apart from yourself So you'll just watch it on telly then... I shall be watching on the telly, have no intention to go especially as I'll be in the middle of exams but I woudln't imagine you'd have to look to hard to find some ICT fans to go with as I'm sure a fair few woudl want to go down. Luckily enough for me my exams are finished before the final
  21. EXACTLY.....well sed Birdy! I really don't understand this logic, Seeing as your both old fans of either highland league teams was there ever a bigger team you supported? Have you ever been to a football game that didn't envolve your national country or Inverness?
  22. none apart from yourself So you'll just watch it on telly then...
  23. I agree beating Celtic these days isn't that suprising but what i mean by bigger is they are now in a cup final because of their win, we only got a next round tie against Aberdeen. It's tough to say what was a bigger win. Clyde even beat Celtic on what i think was Roy Keane's debut. I always thought beating Celtic at home 1-0 was a bigger win in 2003, they went to the Uefa Cup final that year and had top players playing against us, unlike today or in 2000
  24. I think the technical term is glory hunting, normally only found in supporters who can't face up to negative emotions. Hopefully it does not take too much hold or he'll be supporting Ingurlund in South Africa next. I guess you weren't an Inverness Caley or Inverness Thistle fan then eh. Supporting a local team on a great occasion is worth doing, thats what makes us different from teams like the OF. Correct!!!! I was a Caledonian fan. I'm pretty sure Caley is short for Caledonian. I'm surprised though that after 16 years your mind has narrowed. You decided to support a team you loved even though they were joining together with their local rivals and yet you won't do the same today for a cup final to give support for the highlands.
  25. I think the technical term is glory hunting, normally only found in supporters who can't face up to negative emotions. Hopefully it does not take too much hold or he'll be supporting Ingurlund in South Africa next. It's by no means glory hunting, it's supporting your local team; it's supporting the Highalands against the central belt. I am very proud to be highlander today. Sorry again for the centered posting. Whoohoo let's all jump on the glory hunting band wagon, I really do hang my head in shame at some of the supporters we picked up after the merger. I can just see the Dundee or Dunfermline forums tomorrow being full of "let's go watch our rivals play in the final" get a grip you soft @r$es you're meant to be ICT fans. I think County and Caley in the highlands after what we've been through have a bit more of a footballing passion than Dundee, Dunfermline and Raith. This has nothing to do with glory hunting, we are ICT fans there nothing to glory hunt about ICT. Why do people think you have to ALWAYS hate your enemys?
