  1. And so the expected has happened - having been 2 up early on, Ayr score their second and we are looking at a draw or even defeat once again. Is there a self-destruct button in the kit bag or something?
  2. Pay at the door, right? How much? Cannot get any info off the Blue Toon website.
  3. Not necessarily. An outside bet has much higher odds, I understand.
  4. You got off lightly Scarlet. The Army is beset with acronyms, and this is mainly so they can catch up with the RN!
  5. It is all to do with recognition. For me the important part is the "Inverness" and our crest clearly told those who encountered our team who we were and more importantly, where we are from. Having ICTFC is a useful abbreviation in social media etc but if we were to play in Europe again, would it not be a source of pride to wear INVERNESS on your chest, either as a player or as a supporter?
  6. Not leaving mucker, just lurking
  7. Bughtie, I made a comment recently about our nearest neighbours and was surprised to find a quite nasty reply the following day which was both unnecessary and uncalled for, having taken a post from 2 years ago and quoting it out of context. From it I realised that it was not worth my effort in contributing as I seldom do and it suits me more to just continue lurking. I like to read the views and opinions plus there is a wealth of knowledge of the club history here. You keep on going though. As stated above, it needs all sorts to post and put their point across otherwise the site is at risk of either becoming a happy-clappy cult or a pit of perpetual despair. For me though, I am bowing out now and will watch from a distance.
  8. Seriously Kingsmills? Gutted? Disappointed yes, gutted . . . not quite. There is a reason it is called the "Who Cares Cup". In terms of prestige, we hold THE one worth winning. I would have been more gutted had we been in two cup finals in successive years and not won. Thankfully it all worked out beautifully. We lost one year on penalties (lots, really), and won the following year with a creditable performance. Happy with what we achieved. As for C*unty winning the above . . . meh.
  9. I'd rather not.
  10. It never ceases to amaze me how quick our own fans are to stick the boot in to the club, berating it on how crap it is. Fascinating. This includes chastising the group that tries to represent the fans. If you are really that concerned then get down to the CaleyJags AGM, get involved and get your positive contributions in. Making a difference starts with you.
  11. That is a brilliant table. Perspective.
  12. Replay 19th January
  13. Getting a bad feeling about this, but at least we are not Hamilton.
  14. Good three points earned. Top 6 at the turn now looking possible. Quiet in here today . . .
  15. Deserved yellow for Woods - been chopping and cheating since first minute.
  16. Very, very, very disappointing, yet again.

  18. Nice the see BBC Scotland bigging up Inverness in their first ever foray into European competition this week. Said no one, ever.
  19. I found this article to be totally distasteful for two reasons. First, as already pointed out by the other posters, is that geographical location has made it more difficult for Inverness to tap into any networks being set up. Develop the local youngsters and blood them . . . how? Look at our youth teams and the leagues they play in. Are they not full of local youngsters? Why look solely at the first team? Second, why were we singled out? It even notes that we had a higher percentage than the previous cup holders. Surely it should be looking at the current League / League Cup holders as after all, are they not the standard we are all supposed to be striving for? The anti-Sneck lobby are making sure we know they haven't forgotten us. GOOD. In response to the report author - I continue to cheer on my team, the CURRENT Scottish Cup holders, as they compete on the unbalanced playing field of Scottish football by trying to stay within their budget and building the best teams they can with the resources to hand, be they home-grown or bought in. We should be being praised for the number of local lads we have developed over the years that have gone on to achieve - not be criticised. If anything, we are an exemplar. In short, get stuffed Alistair Gray. Go ask Celtic what they intend to do about it.
  20. Thunderbox. Or am I taking this too far now??
