  1. Actually, following form over the season against the Pars I would reckon we would be more likely to win by a single goal, and probably the only goal. But that'll do! Hardly need to rack up the goal difference now do we? :tonguecheek:
  2. Ah the C*unty bubble - can anyone else hear the sound of air escaping . . .
  3. Totally agree EWS - and if that restructering included the OF moving away into their fantasy Atlantic league or whatever, then it would probably bring our standards back up further and quicker for those of us "left behind".
  4. Me three
  5. My primary aged kids got their season tickets for ?25 each, under ?1.40 per match, not too unreasonable. And they have all been / will be in the SFL alot longer than we will be!
  6. I've watched this debate rage with some interest and apart from the start where it was heading into nasty territory, the opposing viewpoints have managed to get back to a more mature status with each conceding the right of the other to hold their views. Personally, I have no vested interest in who wins the final although I am leaning away from C*unty for a number of reasons. It holds slightly more appeal simply because our rivals are in it - had it been any of the other teams I wouldn't give a mokeys chuff who won - and I would hope that they don't win. Why? One cogent argument has already been put forward regarding the attraction of fans and subsequent sponsorship. Let's not kid ourselves here - the Highlands does not have the population or geographic to support two SPL teams, only one. Us. Any advance that RC makes chips away at us. We should be on our guard against this. But ultimately I suppose it comes down to this - if it were ICT in the final how many of their fans would have the good grace to go and "support" us? Cannot take anything away from their achievement or the way they went about it, and good on them for the advert they have made for highland football, but all they have really achieved is that they are in the final. Meanwhile, we are on the cusp of the return to the SPL and have been in the semi's twice on merit. Difference being, when we do get to the final the chances are we can win, and in the run of form that DUFC have just now and especially Goodwillie knocking them in left right and centre, RC are heading for a drubbing. RC getting into the final will be the same thing as Gretna - a flash in the pan. And where are Gretna now? C*unty are a threat to us as well as rivals and yes, let's keep the banter relatively good-natured but don't lose sight of the fact that they ARE our rivals and should always be regarded as such.
  7. Aww, that's all very uncharitable to our "northern" cousins. Good luck to C*unty on the day - a wonderful achievement just to be there. And while you are busy preparing for what will be the greatest day of your careers, we will quietly get on with the job of winning the league and being promoted back to the SPL . . . where we belong! :(
  8. And I'm also confident we will win the league!
  9. I'm a 10.
  10. Cheers RiG - good tip on the PT site, hadn't thought to check. Just watched it and in comparison to the effort our chaps put in for the video with team list and score announcements etc, theirs looks very basic. Mind you, their keeper got one hell of a workout in the game! :023:
  11. Highlights were ready last night but unfortunately I am not able to login and change the pages on the official site so it has to wait for a member of ICT staff to do it ... it would have been outside office hours when the video was uploaded by me yesterday so this morning is the earliest opportunity for them to do that. Regards Partick - they do film their own games but our last match against them doesnt seem to be online right now. We could also film it if we wanted but the simple fact is that we didnt have a camera person there. Please remember this is done by volunteers so yes, we will indeed be limited to "some" games both at home and away. Cheers chaps - was just a query and I am already on record saying this is a fanatastic boon for those of us not able to get to matches that often, and although it is brilliant to see match reports and commentary from other fans on the forum the highlights add enormously to the enjoyment. As someone who has a huge pile of stuff to get through week after week, I can totally appreciate that there will be the odd delay from time to time and I am happy to wait. Just watched the Morton game now and again - great job lads, keep it up! :023:
  12. I know this isn't a technical query, but it has been over 24 hours since the Morton game on Tuesday and no sign of any highlights yet. I noted that the Partick Thistle game is marked unavailable as well. Does this mean that we are limited to only home games and certain away games?
  13. And the view is getting better . . . .
  14. And we will because we can, and not because others couldn't. Our goal difference speaks for itself.
  15. Aye, if you're buying! :( Here's to keeping the faith . . .
  16. 17 games unbeaten and 5 straight wins in a row - GO CALEY JAGS! :(
  17. I personally feel that the highlights are presented in exactly the format what I need to view - I have no sound on my work laptop (some sort of failure) but the visuals are great and I agree with the comment regarding steadiness of the camera work, it is excellent. In fact I feel that 3 minutes is just about right, enough to whet the appetite. As the IT kill-joys at work find more and more things to ban access to, and streaming video was first to go, I was surprised I was able to access these highlights when I cannot even get news clips off the BBC, so I am delighted that whichever way these are being presented means I am able to access whenever it is convenient for me and not just when I am at home (where I spend almost no time on the computer now). I couldn't originally access the flash file but could the wmv, but I see I can get both now. Good job chaps - keep it up!
  18. Wasn't it Jock Stein that said "Doesn't matter how many they score as long as you score one more"! C'mon the lads!
  19. Yup, me too. Wonderfull sight isn't it :004:
  20. We haven't won it . . . yet. There are enough games where the results can go against us, but as has been pointed out, if we keep up our excellent run then it doesn't matter what the others do as we will have done it for ourselves. Interestingly, I had Radio 4 on in the car this morning (Radio Scotland had some tripe on about the history of fortified wine) and there was an interview with the heid yin of Newcastle United's fans trust or whatever, and the reporter had already noted that NU had been top of the Championship almost from the begininning and all they needed was a draw with Sheffield United tonight to be assured of promotion. At the start of the interview though, the supporters rep said he wasn't counting any chickens but the reporter said I'm fairly sure your chickens are safe. Contrast that with what is being posted of late on our own Forum and you can see the difference! Confidence is one thing, arrogance another. We haven't won it, and are not near to claiming to either, but we are FULLY CAPABLE of doing so. Continue to get behind the team as you have been doing and make the 12th man count!!!!
  21. Aye, but this time yesterday we didn't, and now we do! Considering the amount of effort and the commitment needed not just to launch it, but to keep it going, I give the people concerned a 10 out of 10 for doing this especially considering that next season we will be back on the network broadcast system for our league games as well as cup runs. :004:
  22. Excellent job Scotty, and well done to all those involved in setting this up. Couldn't have started with a better game to launch it with either! :004:
