  1. Looks like the same XI as at Forfar. Seedorf still not in the squad.
  2. Puzzles me that people think the club is "arrogant" by exploring the possibility of doing this and putting in a request to the HL. Arrogance would be an expectation from ICT that because we are a big club in relative terms, the HL ought to simply bend over backwards to accommodate us, but there would appear to be no evidence of that being the case. It may well be a fruitless request, but I don't see why people are so keen to criticise the club for exploring something that would be good for ICT.

Cathro must be one of the very few managers in recent years to have done a worse job than Foran. His record at Hearts is shocking.

I can't believe we are even discussing the possibility of Robbo becoming Hearts manager, unless we are talking about Kelty Hearts! Edit to add - as an aside, Kelty's keeper for the last few season has been Kyle Allison, ex-ICT.
  5. He never played against Montserrat.
  6. We completely deserved the win today, but it should be noted that Forfar blazed several of the game's best chances over the bar. Our defence actually looked pretty good but there wasn't much attacking prowess on display, and my first impressions are that neither Oakley nor Baird look like they will score many goals (but more than Shoeshine will) and as a partnership there wasn't much going on at all. First half we were playing into the wind, but resorting to long balls up the park. Attacks usually went up the left flank with Calder, who looked dangerous......until the final ball or shot. Polworth failed to convert a penalty that was softly awarded and softly struck. Vigurs played a couple of smart through balls, but that was about it from us. Second half, the game really opened up, and we moved the ball around much more quickly on the deck.We went behind when Ridgers parried a powerful shot which was nodded in at the far post by the player who reacted first. Equaliser came when Baird couldn't latch on to a long ball at the edge of the box but the oncoming keeper could only block the ball into the path of Oakley who slotted home. A minute later a corner was met by the unmarked Baird at the far post, who had time to take touch and fire home. The only aspect of the game that I might remember in a few days time is the impressive and entertaining performance by Mulraney when he came on, beating players for fun. It's a long time since we've had a winger who was a joy to watch and I hope he can perform like that against Championship sides cos if he does he'll be a star player for us. Overall, though, I didn't think we look like a team that will be competing for promotion. Improvement is needed, with more fluidity and cohesion, but it is still very early days for this new team.
  7. Not so much Necker Island as Snecker Island!
  8. Can Caman please confirm or deny that he owns islands?!
  9. I'm picturing another scenario here. "But boss, you said we needed more social media penetration!"
  10. The internet is full of porn, but I guess the ICTFC Twitter page is somewhere people should be able to visit without having it rammed down their throat.
  11. Storm in a tea cup, but there are people out there who will take offence at this sort of thing and as a family club, the board need to be seen to be responding accordingly.
  12. A few people getting their knickers in a twist here based on the mistaken belief that we expect to get Buckie's captain for free. What Robertson says is that we won't be paying "a substantial fee", implying that we would be happy to pay a modest fee - what that means in monetary terms I have no idea. No doubt we will want to get him on the cheap because we can't afford otherwise, but it seems wrong to criticise ICT for expecting him to be free. Meanwhile, Buckie's manager comes out with the rather ridiculous statement that they need a big fee because they'll have to sign 3 players to replace him. It would be better for all if the transfer fee negotiations took place in private.

  14. Is the apparent inability of OWF and Raven to find new clubs starting to get seriouly concerning? I suspect that between them they are costing us around 5 grand a week, and the cumulative amount since they were advised to find new clubs has already used up the resources to fund 1 "normal" player for a full season.
  15. Wee hiccup or two writing our striker's name on the team sheet!
  16. Hopefully the only hat trick he gets is his 3rd consecutive relegation.
  17. Looks like we are effectively out of this tournament already. Looking at the other tables it's hard to see how we could end up as one of the best runners up - even assuming we manage 2nd place.
  18. Unfortunately all of Polworth's were crammed into 2015/16.
  19. Our unbeaten start continues. In fact under Robbo, including the end of his first spell with us, we are unbeaten in our last 5!
  20. We use the small-ads section of local newspapers. "Desperately Seeking Zschusschen......."
  21. An update on The Lionel King, the legendary Djebi-Zadi. Here he is playing in the Champions League earlier this year. African CL, qualifying round. Now 35, he is still playing in Reunion, for St Louisienne.
  22. 3-0 is very much at the upper end of my pre-match expectations. Good start to the season and a big improvement on the Elgin performance.

"Absolute disgrace ref - these ****s only drink it by the half bottle!"
  24. It can actually happen if the user is very careless. When you log in to your Companies House account to make any changes, you see a list of directors and against each name is a "Remove" button. Click! (I think there is then an "Are you sure...." validation step) The other type of "mistake" that can happen is that the person who does the club's Companies House filings was genuinely under the impression that Finlayson was no longer a director....
  25. What happened is that the club submitted a termination form for him, and then contacted Companies House to retract it. So for a number of weeks, he was not listed as a director. If he stood down and was reappointed, separate forms should have been submitted accordingly. But assuming the club did things properly, it looks very much like they had submitted his termination form by accident, no doubt when doing Kenny Cameron's one on the same day.
