January Transfer Window
At first glance I thought the return of Billy Mckay was just wishful thinking on our part. But then I looked at his stats in League One this season - 25 games, comprising 20 starts and 1,665 minutes on the pitch. Goal tally - zilch. He's hardly hot property any more, and it appears that the only place he can score is in Scotland so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if all parties agreed that the best way to resurrect his career and resurrect our fortunes was to give this a try and see if it all clicks again.

Hamilton Away
There are some interesting parallels and comparisons. 2009 and 2017 - bottom of the league and about to play a relegation 6 pointer away to Hamilton. 2017 - 17 points from 22 games 2009 - 17 points from 21 games 2017 - 11 games without a win, but a cup win against a lower league side gave a little morale boost. 2009 - 6 games without a win, but a cup win against a lower league side gave a little morale boost. That 6 game run included Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Dundee Utd (3rd in the league back then) and 2 other away games. 2017 - fans starting to show concern about the manager, but generally remain right behind him. 2009 - despite us never having been anything other than a bottom 6 side, for the previous 2 or 3 months there'd been a growing campaign amongst fans to get the manager sacked, including an unprecedented meeting of supporters. Constantly slated on this forum, "shoes off" was the culmination. Funny how things are the same, but different!

January Transfer Window
There's a potential complication for any ins and outs in that the for the final 9 or so hours of deadline day our players and management will be away at Hamilton! "Driver, stop the bus at Broxden" "What is it boss, do you need a piss?" "No, I need a central defender and a creative attacker!"

Inverness CT -V- Partick Thistle
True, but ultimately this was another step towards relegation. Home game against a very makeshift and mediocre side, yet we still can't score, and the BBC stats show Partick had more possession, shots and shots on target, with OFW coming to our rescue more than once. You don't get any reassurance that Foran knows our best formation or best line up, it's just rolling the dice when it comes to midfield and attack, hoping but not expecting that someone will do something. I just don't see how we are going to get out of this with Foran in charge, all the evidence is that, great player as he was, he's just a dud as a manager. Hope I'm wrong, of course. That's 11 without a win, against a string of poor sides. Foran himself said today was a must win, our biggest game of the season, and he failed again. The Hamilton game ought to be his last chance.

Ex-ICT players' news
He was outstanding for us. IMO if he hadn't got injured he'd still be our keeper AND we'd be higher up the league.

Scottish cup round 5
In addition to the unattractive KO time, presumably the fact that the game is on BBC rather than a subscription channel will reduce the gate receipts further.

He's also an international goalkeeper! At the weekend he played the last 35 mins in goal for Canada, keeping a clean sheet in a 4-2 win V Bermuda.

January Transfer Window
Looks very much like our interest was leaked to the press by Murray's camp. The reason for doing so is to remind clubs of his availability and entice other offers, ie better offers, so he won't be joining us.

Development League 2016/17
But did you notice that the Dev team only came good when the first team hit bad form? It's like we can only have one of the teams doing well!

Team News - Injuries and Suspensions etc
If we are going to stay up we will need a solid defence and clean sheets. Makeshift line ups just aren't going to cut it, even if it just for a month. Need to bring in a commanding central defender for the rest of the season, one who is better than the ones we currently have available. Will cost, I know, but relegation will cost more.

Scottish cup round 5
Scope for plenty of transfer window activity before the game is played - Celtic might sell Dembele and use the proceeds to prize Boden away from us.

What are the stats on us being drawn away in recent years?

Need to concentrate on the league anyway.

Away to Celtic.

Scott Boden
It's unfortunate that he was given a 3 year contract. Foran was obviously confident that he was our next Billy Mckay.

The more I watch our winning goal, the more clear it appears that Doumbouya didn't touch it, it was on OG nodded by the no. 3. You can tell not just by following the flight of the ball in slow-mo but by noting how Doumbouya doesn't celebrate, whilst the defender holds his head in his hands.
