Sell the rights to Diareze and use the money to stop leaks at the back.....

In this era of names like the Tony Macaroni Arena and the Totally Wicked Stadium, what would you like (or not like) our ground to be called if the naming rights were up for grabs? (I'm not implying that the transfer of the stands will lead to a change of a name any time soon, just hoping that amongst all the doom and gloom on the pitch, our fans have retained enough sense of humour to lift my spirits!)
  4. Indeed! Basically it's been a good day spoiled only by ICT's dismal performance.
  5. Positives for me from today: 1. I thought Draper did well in defence. 2. I got a free ticket so didn't have to pay to endure that sh1te. 3. Had a free £5 bet to use and stuck it on St J. 4. Short journey home for me, and got back to find that at the school Xmas fete my wee girls had cleaned up on the bottle stall - Famous Grouse x2, Smirnoff, Sauvignon blanc, Port and some beer!
  6. I think most fans would rather see it go into strengthening the squad. Nobody really wants subsidised buses and displays against the likes of Dumbarton or Ayr, do they?
  7. Foran said after today's debacle that our problem is that we have too many attack minded players, we need more defence minded players and he will address this in January as funds are available.
  8. No sign of injury, I think it was just a case of the game being over as a contest and giving Gilchrist a wee bit of game time as he may be needed soon given our lack of defensive options at the moment. Never seen him before, but he happears to have the physique of a solid defender.
  9. Pains me to say it but Gary Warren was a complete liability today, and I was saying that long before he got either of his 2 stupid yellows. In the first half Saints players waltzed past him numerous times, including at the goal. It looks like opponents have identified his lack of pace as a weak link, and the only way he can stop attackers is to foul them, hence the 2 yellows. It's a real shame, he was immense for us when he stepped up from part time football, find of the century. Sadly now, he is all heart but nae legs.
  10. Any Saints fan or neutral may well conclude today that ICT are a bunch of uncultured thugs, incapable of playing football, or defending, or attacking. They might also conclude that we are the worst team they have seen this season, that we are getting relegated and that the league will be better without us. And based purely on today, it would be hard for me to disagree.
  11. Blimey, the poll results have ended up as a near-perfect standard distribution curve!
  12. We will be responsible for those costs already.
  13. The value of that publicity over 10 years would be a few hundred thousand pounds, in the context of a gift worth millions. Remains to be seen whether a condition of the gift is that the Tulloch name has to remain, but even if it does, it's a great deal for us. The only downside I can think of concerns responsibility for replacement of the seating structures which may be getting towards the end of their life. Clearly ICT will have to pay for that when the time comes, but would that otherwise have been the landlord's responsibility? It would depend on the terms of the lease.
  14. This is the best Christmas present ever!
  15. We have conceded 29 goals in 15 matches, 3 goals more than any other team. Conceding virtually 2 goals per game obviously makes it hard to pick up many points. It's rather uncharacteristic of ICT to appear so porous at the back, so I'd be interested to know what people think is the cause, or causes. I've also added a poll where you tick whichever factors you think apply.
  16. Well, he said post match that this was "our best performance of the season". I'd be interested to know if fans agree. Not a great sign that when we are at our best, we still lose to the side at the bottom of the league! I think his point is that we did a lot of things right except score and we really shouldn't have lost this one.
  17. This'll make it 3 defeats out of 3 in November and 1 win in our last 8 games. 6 league games coming up in December, mostly against mediocre sides, so we need that to be a good month or the R word will be very much to the fore.
  18. Is this now the only sport Scotland is good at?!
  19. First Mantis, then those two - what is it about Whitehill that attracts so many ICT legends?! Talented as he was as a player, Bingham never struck me as having management credentials, but best of luck to him.
  20. Some of the comments here are a bit harsh, but I think it is fair to say that he is not as influential as he has been in the past. That could of course be due in part to the new manager wanting him to play in a certain way.
  21. These tables are always interesting, but deeply flawed. I suspect they've got teams 1 to 5 in the right order, along with Hamilton 12th. There's probably not much difference between the teams in 6th to 11th but I certainly wouldn't expect us to be at the top of that group - remember for example that we recently tried and failed to lure a couple of players from Partick, and St J have outbid us before.
  22. When African teams have nicknames like the Indomitable Lions or the Super Eagles, Guinea's one isn't particularly flattering!
  23. Are we talking months here?
  24. Yngwie replied to Hearach's topic in Caley Thistle
    Bit harsh!
  25. I'd be interested to know who you think could possibly be above him in that respect!
