  1. In January 2014 (6 months after he left us) he announced his retirement - not because of injury, but because he didn't want to relocate his family again and couldn't get a club near where they wanted to live. Shortly after, he joined Needham Market who were splashing the cash in the regional Rymans/Isthmian league. After 18 months there he left to do coaching at the Ipswich Academy. He is married to George Burley's daughter.
  2. Craig Dargo
  3. ....which would have been reflected in the signing on fee, wages or even a special bonus that would no doubt have been built in to OFW's contract! And rightly so.
  4. Yngwie replied to Bronson's topic in Caley Thistle
It would be fantastic if Hughes was still on our payroll and Hibs wanted him, as they'd then have to offer us compensation (like Celtic had to pay Liverpool for Brendan Rodgers) plus it would mean we hadn't needlessly paid him off with a lump sum.
  5. But Ross Draper has again been left out of the England squad. Boooo!
  6. Our keeper has made the final Wales squad. Well done Owain.
  7. Yngwie replied to Bronson's topic in Caley Thistle
Rotherham have been given permission to speak to Alan Stubbs, so there could be a vacancy at Hibs soon. Surely Hughes won't be so flukey as to get a massive pay off from us then move straight into a better paid job with a bigger budget, and based near his family too?!!!
  8. May 2015 - ICT end the season looking forward to a foreign adventure May 2016 - ICT end the season looking forward to a Foran adventure!
  9. Richie Foran! Let's hope he's a darn sight more successful than all the others mentioned!
  10. Well why the hell not, it's only a friendly and you've got more experience than the 7 year old who applied.
  11. I see, though, that Boyce made it into the NI squad in the Panini sticker album, which I suppose is a bit of an achievement in itself.
  12. As expected, Billy Mckay has missed out on a place in the NI squad. If you rewind the clock a couple of years, it's staggering to think that he's now behind the likes of Josh Magennis (in squad) and Liam Boyce (very narrowly missed out) in the pecking order. Perhap's he'll take a moment to reflect that if he'd stayed at ICT, he would very likely be fulfilling a once in a lifetime opportunity to play international football in a major tournament. And that maybe a move back to us might help resurrrect his career!
  13. Away to Fraserburgh for a testimonial, Sat 2nd July.
  14. Craig Brewster (Dundee Utd) Come to think about it, there's not been a great deal of managerial success amongst the names mentioned. I suspect though that the list will be somewhat more impressive in 10 or 20 years time.
  15. Unlikely, the vast majority of footballers' decisions are driven by money. And anyway, I'm sure he will fully expect that Colchester also have fans forums where his mistakes will be criticised.
  16. We'll just bring in someone else, though, hopefully someone better!
  17. Compared to what we could have had, we have the nearest thing there is to the "Group of Death!" Actual fixtures are not announced until next week, it seems. They aren't half dragging this out. Group A Dundee Dumbarton Peterhead Forfar Athletic East Fife Group B St Johnstone Falkirk Brechin City Stirling Albion Elgin City Group C Inverness Caley Thistle Dundee United Dunfermline Athletic Arbroath Cowdenbeath Group D Ross County Raith Rovers Alloa Athletic Cove Rangers Montrose Group E Partick Thistle Queen of the South Stenhousemuir Queen's Park Airdrieonians Group F Motherwell Rangers Stranraer East Stirlingshire Annan Athletic Group G Hamilton Accies St Mirren Edinburgh City Livingston Ayr United Group H Kilmarnock Morton Berwick Rangers Albion Rovers Clyde
  18. Are you referring to him coaching at the Ipswich Academy? That's all I can see he's done (so far, at least).
  19. Paul Ritchie had a couple of years at junior side Lochee Utd (in Dundee).
  20. This week Les Fridge quit as Nairn manager, whilst Liam Fox became head coach at Cowdenbeath. Got me wondering, how many ex-ICT players are there who have gone on to be managers?
  21. And in the League Cup, we also got knocked out by the eventual winners.
  22. As far as I can see there's been nothing to suggest that he has left or is leaving. Not yet, anyway.....
  23. A commission is indeed looking into what happened. I fully expect them to conclude that despite the misdemeanours, the result should stand as a 3-2 win for Dundee Utd!
  24. None of the Hibs fans had ever seen their team win the Cup, but nor had any of the ICT fans last year or the St Johnstone fans in 2014. The latter two behaved impeccably. And even if they had been inclined to go onto the pitch through sheer joy, I just can't imagine that they would have assaulted players of the opposing team.
  25. All the more amazing given that they were 11 points down with just 30 seconds left! The final is available to watch here, with it all turning around from 30:00 mins.
