Whilst we generally look to win games against bottom 6 sides, we can consider this to be an excellent point! Well done guys.

Red Dots - Change to System
Would I be right in saying that switching to option 2 (showing who awarded the dots), would actually be applied retrospectively, ie people who issued dots in the past on the understanding that it was anonymous would now find that they have all been made public?

For the benefit of the Courier, he's not related to Nat King Cole either!

I see McKay as a straight replacement for Devine in terms of quality and reliability, whereas McNaughton would have been an upgrade on Devine.

The Sun report that Doumbouya negotiated his release due to financial problems at the club, but I've just read a Belgian article saying that he had simply fallen out of favour and had been dropped to the B team. Regardless, he does seem to have had offers from all over Europe, and chose to join us.

Did he have a trial with us first? I hope Foran has actually seen him play, and not just the "best of" videos.

That website was simply estimating his market value at the time, as they somehow do for all players. It's now 255,000 for today's transfer! He joined Cercle when his deal with Tubize expired, having turned down an extension. So no fee. Cercle signed him for 2 years with a further year option, but were obviously happy to let him move on after just 1 year.

Definitely a striker. Of more concern is that he's always played at a lower level than this, steadily progressing up the leagues to Belgium's 2nd division, which I think is generally a lower standard than our 2nd flight and often has crowds of a few hundred. Scoring 9 goals a season there when you are in your prime hardly has a wow factor, but at the end of the day it's all about how the player's attributes can be used in our set up. I read an interview from earlier this year in which he made clear his aspirations to be capped by Guinea, having apparently got onto their radar. Hopefully he scores enough here to achieve that. (Today's BBC article describes him as a Guinean born Frenchman, but he was actually born in Nice to Guinean parents)

If you want a song for him, there's a ready made one - "Doumbouya, my lord, Doumbouya......"

Perhaps. But 2 hot-headed Dubliners being placed together in a highly pressurised environment.....?

The Sun now reporting he is indeed with us. Their description of Foran being "desperate" to bring in players seems apt.

Stats = facts. What you should have said instead is "According to a flawed and unreliable survey......"

Was he naked, by any chance? The reason I ask is that he's probably still waiting for JD Sports to get his red and blue kit in stock.....

Hearts v Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club Pride of the Highlands
Presumably you meant a Desmond "2-2", but in the end we got Storm Desmond - blown away, floodgates opened, landslides etc etc etc

You seem to be absolving the manager of responsibility for the most awful, embarrasing month in our history (and it's not over yet!). Was it lack of money that made us lose to part-time Alloa? Or to be well beaten by Partick and County, whose budgets can't be significantly different to ours? Was it lack of money that has caused our experienced, established defenders and keeper to suddenly leak soft goals all over the place, with some seriously amateur defending? Was it the board that chose the summer signings, who, so far at least, seem to have very little to offer? I feel sorry for Foran just now and hope it is just a case of a rookie manager finding his feet, working out the best way for the team to play, and learning from his mistakes along the way.
