The win is all the more remarkable given that he was only 7th reserve to even take part, and had to get a visa sorted out at very short notice when the late invite eventually came.

How bizarre. He's an Italian match official who was on duty as a linesman last night in Bari. Are we really that desperate for players?

Correct, but so was Storey, so it would have been a retake if Tansey had scored as well!

First time this season that the players have earned chips at Auchterarder! In fact it's 9 months since we last got a league win in the West - although there were a couple of decent cup results in that time.

Hope the injuries to Christie and Storey aren't bad ones. We've had more than our fair share of bad luck this season without adding two more of our best players to the injury list.

You been drinking?! I've no doubt Deano gave 100% but that ain't enough when you simply lack the skills to succeed at our level.

Yogi in trouble. Been stealing picnics again.

Pretty much nil. When the Manager is unavailable, the Assistant Manager takes over and it would be nuts to do otherwise! -

From SFA: Case 3 Alleged Party in Breach: John Hughes (Manager, Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC) Disciplinary Rule allegedly breached: Disciplinary Rule 72: 1) In that following on from the Scottish Professional Football League Premiership match between Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and Dundee FC upon 29th August 2015, in a television interview you criticised the performance of the Match Referee in such a way as to indicate incompetence on his part. 2) In that following on from the Scottish Professional Football League Premiership match between Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and Dundee FC upon 29th August 2015, in interviews with the written press you criticised the performance of the Match Referee in such a way as to indicate incompetence on his part Outcomes: 1) Breach denied and not proven 2) Breach admitted Sanction(s): 1) N/A 2) Suspended for two matches (one match immediately and one match to take effect in the event of a further breach of Disciplinary Rule 72 before the end of season 2015/16.) -

Only local press as far as I can see. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/inverness-caledonian-thistle/729219/hughes-set-to-discover-fate-following-referee-comments/ -

The Hughes case is supposed to be taking place today. The 1 October hearing was postponed because Yogi had a dental appointment, it was then rescheduled for a couple of weeks ago but no reason was announced for that one not taking place either - hair stylist appointment, perhaps? So today's the day. Will there be fireworks? -
If he goes to the Euros, will ICT get some money? I'm sure we did when it was Niculae in 2008.
-
Sho-Silva has gone back down south for treatment, no idea when he is due to return. I can only recall hearing Hughes say prior to the 1-1 at Tannadice that Silva had a knock but would be back for the game v Livingston (which was played 22nd September).

It's just incredible that after a great run before the last international break, in the space of 15 days we can then lose timidly to 4 mediocre sides (Dundee, County, Kille, St J), with 3 of those games at home.
-
Storey out, as expected. Gary Warren makes the bench, unexpected. Won't help us today, but once he's fully fit we'll have cause for a bit more optmism about the rest of the season.
-
I wouldn't say "Would you like me to p1ss on you to put those flames out?" to Billy Dodds.

Too early to conclude, but it's an interesting suggestion. Remember how we rejoiced when Terry turned down Barnsley.....then we went on a really poor run.

Really disappointed and surprised by this given our recent form and last season's great record on these artificial surfaces.

From BBC : "Inverness CT boss John Hughes says at no time was there a chance of him leaving the club to join Dundee United. "The Highland club turned down an official approach by United to speak to Hughes who also told BBC Scotland he has no issues with the refusal. "Hughes also confirmed that talks were continuing over the prospect of a new deal with his current contract running out at the end of this season."

How on earth can you possibly criticise the manager who got Scotland a historic 6-0 away win in Portugal?!
-
Shinnie on the bench tonight.
-
This might be wishful thinking on my part, but the optimist in me is hoping that the significance of this supposed Monday announcement is that Stuart McCall has been busy on Scotland duty until tonight and isn't back in the country until tomorrow. What slightly undermines that theory is that it would seem odd that Utd apparently spoke to him about a week ago, didn't appoint him, and then asked to speak to Hughes, which would kind of undermine McCall right from the start if he got the job. (Start as you mean to go on )

Hughes has the option to resign and then join Utd (like Hartley did when he left Alloa to go to Dundee). That's why a club in our position always has to give in and just look for the best compensation we can get.
