"Few goals" being the key phrase! Think it was about 3 a season. But there was the song: "There's only one Martin Glancy He's small, but he's fancy He scores with ease, so bring him on please Walking in a Glancy wonderland" The only factually accurate statement in that song was that he was small. He wasn't fancy and he certainly didn't score with ease. Big waste of a transfer fee, think it was around £20,000.

First and foremost, they are there to get the best deals for themselves. And that usually means persuading the player to move.

The last 2 home games should both perhaps have been draws instead of 0-1 and 1-0, but the way it turned out = 3 points instead of 2!

As a completely hypothetical question, how would our fans feel if Ched Evans wanted to relaunch his career away from the glare of publicity at a low profile club like ours?

Speaking of relegation, I reckon the 35 points we have in the bag is already enough to avoid both the automatic spot and the play-off place.

Presumably there's quite a difference in ticket prices since Div 3.

Yep, who'd have thought that 3 from 20 would be something to celebrate!

This is by no means the first time we've had a pretty dismal run of form over the festive period. I've looked back at the last 5 season's results from the 2nd half of December into the first few days of January, and it is even worse than I expected. We've only won 2 out of 19 games! No idea why that should be the case, but New Year's Day would be a very good time to stop our seasonal generosity.

I think it's 4 years since we last lost 3 games in a row.

That was a half of two halves, ending much more positively for us than it started.

I haven't seen anything about us appealing Draper's red card, so presumably we have accepted it?

Hark now hear the North Stand sing A new king born today And his name is Maaaaarley And he's better than Jonny Hayes

He's only missing one game, as he'd be missing the Utd one anyway. So, by diving, he gets: 1) 3 points for his team 2) win bonus 3) goal bonus 4) post-match adulation from fans and teammates And just misses one game as a result. Not much of a deterent, is it. The annoying thing is that the Scotish media is so weak and toothless. Next time he's up for interview, will anyof the journos ask him why he launched himself into the air half when he was still a foot away from Brill? No, of course not. He won't be villified at all and it'll all be forgotten by tomorrow. Except by us.

I'm not sure it works like that. Isn't his "unavailability" for the Utd game just an arrangement between the two clubs rather than unavailability under SFA rules?

It was a step up from the usual!

One of the more unusual things to happen yesterday was that I found myself walking towards the ground alongside Derek Adams and his dad. Resisted the temptation to ask if they were getting unemployed concessions and instead invited them in to the away section for the kind of banter that we will all miss. They politely declined, but we had a wee chat about ICT and how the game might turn out. He didn't come across as a **** in that context, probably confused that someone in an ICT scarf wasn't being unpleasant towards him!

Sunday Times called it right with their match report headline : "Saints dive in to take points"

Pretty much the only song that the Perth fans mustered today was one expressing a view that Doran's body mass index was higher than the optimum level. Or words to that effect. I would have to agree, his shape is pretty shocking for this level, but he still managed to play pretty neat football and lasted OK, especially taking into account that he hasn't had much game time recently.

Tight game, first goal was always gonna be vital. First half satisfactory. But then to lose because of an underhit backpass like that was pretty sickening. Mind you, looked like Graham's only intention was to win a penalty rather than score. Hard to tell if there was contact from where we were, but our players were incensed. The red card seemed a bit harsh but there was perhaps a bit of needless aggression. This all sparked some more urgency into our players, and a neat move resulted in Raven beating the keeper but not the post. What does it say, though, when for 2 games in a row we have failed to score andf it's Dave the rave who has come closest. Deano made 3 or 4 cracking saves, my MotM. We, on the other hand, never tested Mannus. Disappointing.

Think I read somewhere that the window will be closing late on Monday 2nd February.

I've been struggling to think of any circumstances in which it is acceptable to lose 4-0 at home to Partick Thistle. VERY bad day at the office.

Maybe our team, laden with southerners, just doesn't cope with the cold! We had a pretty lousy winter last year.

What was that saying - "We don't do walking away payment in lieu of notice."

If any younger fans think that's Gil Blumstein, it's not. Ask yer dad.
