Administration impact
My understanding is that a club in administration has to pay off all ‘football creditors’ before it can come out of administration. I think this includes the contractual entitlement of players, coaches and managers, as well as amounts owed to other clubs. I’m sure someone can clarify.

Yes, 99% sure. The PSC form for the club was submitted in 2022 and has not been amended or replaced since then. At that time it rightly had the club has having >75% control of shares and votes. Would actually have been 100% but companies house use specified bandings. Subsequently we have 3 more PSCs added who each have 25-50% of the shares (it is actually 33, 33 and 34% per a Morrison interview) so in total the current submissions add up to a minimum of 150% control which is of course impossible and shows the original PSC to be needing cancelled. The right to appoint directors will be controlled by the current shareholders, I’m sure the Articles will confirm that but I can’t be bothered to look!

And none of them seem to have had a financial background. I think it is always a good idea for a board to have someone suitably qualifiied, responsible for reporting and scrutinising the financial position and cash forecasts, as well as ensuring proper governance.

That one is just an admin failure on the part of whoever deals with Companies House filings for the battery co. When the battery co issued shares to its 3 new owners, it should have notified Companies House that the football club is no longer a person of significant control.

Part Time
We could switch to training part time, but we’d still have to pay all the players their full time salary until their contracts expire, so there wouldn’t be much point just now.

Smokies Away Oct 2024
Astonishing that we didn’t muster at least 1 goal from all those chances.

If it is being filmed by the Pixelot camera, could I kindly request that any baldy heided attendees wear a hat!

Well done. There is a big opportunity to reach out to the wider football community, where there are a lot of people who don’t want to see any club go under, and who might have a soft spot for us. Fans of Everton/BigDunc for example. Hearts fans also seem grateful to us for being one of the only clubs to argue against their relegation. And then if you can reach North Americans whose ancestry can be traced back to the Highlands, we’ll be rich!

Yeah that seems to be it - the club has a whole load of creditors and liabilities to settle, and fans are being asked to contribute towards that, with hopefully other means being arranged to cover the rest? It’s a key question that needs asked though. I would see it like taxation - I want my taxes to go towards things I support and not be used for things I disagree with, but at the end of the day it all just goes into one big pot and you can’t choose how your contribution gets distributed. Your choice is simply whether to contribute to the overall cause or not.

Well at least he is now officially qualified to run a football club! Sounds to me like Savage is sceptical but obliged to explore any potential offer. Nobody will be surprised if Makanwa falls at the first hurdle. From the article: Savage, speaking exclusively to the Press and Journal, revealed Makwana is back in talks with the club. Savage said: “Ross Morrison on Tuesday has reintroduced Ketan Makwana to the process. “He suggested that Panos contacted him, which he did. The board are now in the process of asking the lawyers for proof of funds as the first hurdle. Proper due diligence will follow. Scott Young will be dealing with that.”

If anyone spots a donation from Scot Gardiner, be sure to let us all know!

In fairness he was only appointed just over a year ago, by which time our demise was well underway and most of the damage had been done. He also also shown plenty of willingness to work with and communicate with fans.

Can this be true!
He deserves credit for this. I’m not sure there are many managers/players/employees who would choose to go unpaid to help their club.

I see from LinkedIn by the way that Ketan recently obtained some spurious certificate in football club management!

If he came back it would be with a much lower offer! If the club goes into administration it could be sold to any lunatic who comes up with some money. The decision on whether to liquidate or accept any offer gets taken by the administrators, not by people who have ICT’s interests at heart.

Supporters Trust Statement on The Threat of Administration
If your house is on fire, there are 2 things you want to do. 1. Save the house and its inhabitants 2. Find out how the fire started. One of those things is a million times important than the other, but is less likely to happen if you place too much emphasis on the other at the critical time!

I know we shouldn’t be at all surprised by the severity of our financial plight and the urgency of the situation, but I kinda hoped that Savage was our saviour, especially after all the good things he did in his first couple of weeks. Not criticising him at all, he’s done what he said he would do, ie carry out a thorough business review and keep us afloat financially during that process.

The Forensic Audit
What I was wondering was there was something he specifically has done that makes it good that he is gone. I understand your point about collective responsibility.

Does the lack of signing news mean we were unsuccessful in our reported attempt to bring in a loan striker from the Scottish Premiership?

Cove @ home Sept 2024
When this happens at a match, do the officials take steps to verify that the guy volunteering from the crowd is indeed qualified? And does he get paid the same fee as the other linesmen?
