  1. Is half a Kaka referred to as a Ka? Ford dealerships could be sitting on a goldmine.
  2. Administration seems to be drawing closer, which will cause sleepless nights for SPL chairmen throughout the summer and possibly beyond. In addition to us being due our parachute payment, it's worth pointing out that the SPL gives ?1.5m to the SFL every year, which the SFL distributes amongst all its member clubs. If that money does not materialise then its going to cause problems for clubs that depend on it to make up their deficits.
  3. This thread has more zeroes than heroes.
  4. Forget it. We probably will finish 2nd, but it's hard to see how we will be one of the best 8 group runners up. At present all the other 2nd place teams have achieved about 2 points per game, we have just 1.4.

You first have to prove that you have the skills to sit on a bench without falling off. And from time to time you'd have to get up, and jog up and down in front of the north stand for a few minutes every fortnight, stopping occassionally to do some unstructured light stretching. Still reckon you could do it?!
  6. Another South American trait is shooting players whose mistakes cost big games. Rossco needn't worry though, the bullets would bounce off.
  7. In the climate of cost cutting he could double up as club doctor and physio too.

Whocares everyone knows it as the C.I.S cup To some it will always be the Skol Cup.
  9. That's the first and last time Munro has been likened to Cannavaro!

Are Annan one of the few teams we have never beaten, or was it them that we pumped 8-1 about 10 years ago in the Cup?
  11. I'm not sure it's that simple. The money ICT is due comes from the SPL. If the SPL ends up with a huge gaping hole in their finances because Setanta can't make the scheduled payments, then they are going to struggle to meet all of their financial commitments, irrespective of how they budgeted.
  12. Their customer service was pretty decent when everything was handled from a single call centre operated by a Scottish company in Fife. Then a couple of years ago, they moved the contract away from them and spread the work amongst a number of different companies (mainly in Ireland) and it all fell apart in a big way, getting them onto shows like Watchdog.

Us? It's not ICT who put in the ?73.5m bid. Our offer was a swap deal for Lionel, which they are currently mulling over. Kaka is said to be excited about the prospect of forming a partnership with Russeldinho.
  14. I discovered today that some people still use Teletext!
  15. It's the same as for SPL prize money, ie Setanta pay the SPL for TV rights, the SPL pay the clubs.
  16. I cancelled too. I don't expect them to survive in their current form, but even if the worst happens then it is likely that someone else will buy them or step in with a new TV deal. Although it won't be anywhere near as lucrative. At least ICT are have already started cutting their cloth for life without TV money, whereas a few other clubs might get a shock. If I ran an SPL club I'd be very wary about making any good contract offers until later in the summer when the picture will be clear. (Which is more than can be said for Setanta's coverage).

    ?39,000 per goal!
  18. It was last Saturday - or have you managed to erase it from your mind!
  19. Having shares also means you might make some money if and when someone buys the club. "Mr Sheikh sir, as instructed I have found you the ideal club. One of the biggest names in European football, for just $500m"
  20. The fact that he's a manager who has left the SPL.
  21. I think moderators should do there job properly :blah03: joke 2.4 - Members are asked to not act as back seat moderators. :moon03:
  22. 4th if you include Terry!
  23. Don't suppose there's any chance David Sutherland will reduce the rent we pay on the stadium.
  24. I think its in the region of ?25-30k.
  25. Agreed, but he's going, lets get over it!
