Killie are desperate for a striker. Hamilton desperately need SPL experience. A club would have to be desperate to consider him.

He was indeed very smug when he left us. But that was 6 years ago, we've all moved on since then (and in that time we have progressed a lot more than he has!). Still, we must have one of the highest pedigree U-15 coaches in the SPL which can't be bad.

I used to have a summer job in an old folks home, where at morning coffee time one of the old dears insisted on a mug of tea and coffee mixed together, with 6 sugars. At least I always got that one right. (She had actually been a senior politician in the MacMillan government, and arrived at the home from the House of Lords where she'd been serving despite being totally doolally.)

He was a good prospect many years ago but his career seems to have fared rather dismally in the last last few seasons, not helped by some bad luck. No idea what he's like as a keeper these days, but with his career profile its the sort of move that could work out well for all concerned.

He scored a very meagre 8 goals in the SPL and barely justified a place in the team for much of last season. 6 months ago many fans would have been delighted for someone to take him off our hands on a free. He has improved since then, driven by the possibility of an international recall. But for me, the point at which I would hesitate to sell him would be around ?200,000.

Interesting that the first choice defence played together. Probably a good idea, help them get to know each other this season. Anyone know which game Brewster was at?
