  1. I passed that very accident just when the ambulances were arriving. Glad to hear everyone survived.
  2. Diaryea dirhyea diarhoeaeoa Dysentery!
  3. Didn't look hard enough! Zamojski, Zamorana, Zirozoulli, Zipouro, Zdenka and Zizi cheese. And I only made up one of those. B - Beri Beri
  4. Wot no Wensleydale? :010: Xynotyro (Greece)
  5. You keep referring to the documents Dinamo published, but what about the ones they didn't publish? They may equally be in possession of an earlier letter stating the conditions that would be applied to any proposed transfer, such as ICT reaching a satisfactory settlement with the player. Who knows, but the one I would be sure of is that those documents do not form the entire correspondence or contract between the clubs. And in my dealings with international companies, I've never ever known funds to arrive in less than 3 working days!
  6. Presumably where we stand now is that the club is not transferring Niculae's registration until he waives his right to a share of the transfer fee. A fair and reasonable stance IF it had been agreed that he would do so if the club accepted the offer from his preferred bidder rather than the highest offer. He might deny ever agreeing to that, knowing that ICT have little choice but to allow him stay with Dinamo. We'll end up with a compromise where he gets a reduced share of the transfer fee, with all parties feeling bitter about the whole saga and blaming each other in the press, and then eventually we can all move on.
  7. Yeah it's because I'm on the cheapskate free TV package rather than the top of the range one you've got! They decided to give free Setanta with that package last year, but for me it still isn't worth it as I'm not interested in the dozens of home makeover channels etc
  8. Some info that might be helpful to a few people who subscribe to this. About a year ago I subscribed to this when it was on offer at ?8/month, as I'm sure many others did. I got my latest bill today and saw it had gone up to ?15. Phoned up just to ask why it had gone up so much, and they instantly offered me it for ?9.99 instead, simple as that.
  9. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is indeed the dispute, with perhaps ICT agreeing to accept 500,000 Euros thinking it was the transfer fee net of the deduction, or maybe not even being aware of this rule. We sent an invoice for 500,000, indicating that to be the net sum we expected to receive. This could also explain why on the Dinamo website when they published the documents they specifically pointed out that the mandatory 5% deduction had been applied. Why else would they point that out?
  10. On what basis do you make that statement? The fact that you don't understand what is happening?
  11. I would agree that seeing Havana before it falls down and gets redeveloped for Americans was something special. For similar reasons I'd like to see China before it gets too westernised. If I'm not too late, that is. South Africa also sounds great, after from all the murders and muggings. I'm lucky enough to have seen pyramids in Egypt and Mexico, and found it amazing that different civilisations so far apart basically had the same idea! In Mexico you can climb on them right up to the top, which I don't imagine will be the case for much longer. My biggest recommendation though would be Sri Lanka, for the incredible culture, history, archaeology, geography, wildlife, food and people.
  12. Whatever the problem is, it would be entirely appropriate that the club deal with it directly rather than through the media. And at this stage, we don't know for sure who, if anyone, is at fault. The BBC story would certainly explain why Dinamo Bucarest were so keen to publish the ICT documents confirming the transfer fee agreed. One guess would be that there could be some dispute over a sell-on clause? Or about who pays Marius and his agent?
  13. To see if it really does have more atmosphere than TCS? Or to retrieve a Niculae free kick?
  14. I think its Jeremy Clarkson who points out that it's not speed that kills. It's coming to a halt in an instant that does the damage. True, but not very helpful.

    Niculae

Can you point to any actual performances that would back that up, or are you basing it on his reputation and international status? Based on performances for ICT he wouldn't even make my top 10.
  18. Cheeses next. Appenzeller (Switzerland)
  19. We've produced the world's first A-Z of composers that omits Beethoven, Mozart and Vivaldi :clapping03:
  20. A sad loss, after a long and distinguished career in sports broadcasting (as well as being a former Brain of Britian and semi-finalist on Mastermind!) Many would say that he should have had the letters OBE after his name long before RIP, and I would tend to agree.
  21. Wonder if IHE has ever experienced powerful spirits in this place?
  22. A while back I saw in one of the papers Scotland's road improvement projects ranked in order of priority, and duelling the A9 was some way down it. Add to that the phenomenal cost, and I can't see it happening for decades. And even then, it would probably be a toll road to recoup the investment.
  23. Stravinsky
  24. I did think it was interesting that he has asked for a pay rise new contract the day after we receive a cash windfall and free up a big wage. Who's next in the queue?
  25. I don't see how Harry can be annoyed at Scotty for saying this season is Rory's last chance when it clearly is. Let's hope he takes it. The pre-season games make him sound more promising than before.
