Shane’s hearing has not taken place yet, but Morton manager Dougie Imrie has today been banned for 6 matches and Arbroath’s Swankie got 4 (both before counting the suspended punishments). Imrie’s punishment was for breaches over the same 8 seasons as Shane, which perhaps gives us an indication of the likely ban if he is guilty, although I expect it would also depend on the size of the bets and whether his own team was involved in the matches.

More likely QotS if they are still looking.

Fair point, but Carson has previously been superb in that position, puzzling that he’s not so impressive there now.

100% OG, Duffy knocks it in off Ridgers. Difficult ball to deal with so I’m not blaming Duffy at all for that, but based on his overall performance and other recent ones I very much look forward to Devine returning.

More points dropped at home and the winless run continues BUT that was our best performance for ages, the team played with spirit and purpose and created a very healthy number of good chances. I was planning on saying all that even before the injury time equaliser. Some of our defending was dodgy but we thoroughly deserved something from that match.

A very entertaining game actually compared to the recent dross. But Partick are the better side and certainly look like they will score more goals. Can we?

Scott Boden was up front for Boreham Wood in their shock cup win at Bournemouth, for whom Ryan Christie came on as a sub at HT.

Yes after recent weeks, how refreshing it was to watch and support a team playing with passion, pride and no little skill!

Yes that episode does seem to have been a bit of a turning point.

Our attacking players were too easily tackled Our players were being muscled off the ball all over the pitch Too many passes went astray Hardly any chances created, a real lack of creativity Woeful shooting, some absolutely hopeless attempts on goal Didn’t win headers in and around the opposition box Lost most of the 50:50 challenges There’s a lot there that we can’t really blame the manager for.

On the bright side, I’ve been doing detailed analysis of the videos and statistics of our games over the last 3 months and have at least figured out why we aren’t picking up enough points - we’re rubbish.

For the record I voted Killie back then, and still would.

Utter p1sh. The infuriating thing is that all Morton had to do to get a comfortable 3 points was be competent at the basics.

We’ve looked rather shaky at the back so far.

Manny Duku has got a new club down south, 2 clubs in fact - Havant AND Waterlooville!

Was planning to be at my first home game since the pandemic started, as my daughter’s team had a match in Inverness. But it’s been called off this evening after the weather deteriorated so we aren’t travelling up, but I’ll be buying the stream as usual and watching from the warmth of my living room.

Is anyone else old enough to remember when the last few hours of transfer deadline day was an exciting time for a hopeful or nervous ICT fan?
-
No surprise. Best for everyone, I just hope it’s not costing us too much money.

(Wyness wasn’t actually part of that team, he’d gone to Hearts by then)

With these forwards coming in, where does that league Duku? Unless he can somehow be reinvented as as a good winger, he probably won’t even make the bench when we have everyone fit. I suspect the club would like to move him on this window but there won’t be a queue of clubs wanting to benefit from his goal scoring prowess, it might be case of him having to drop down a level or two on loan or leaving Scotland if he wants to play much this season.
-
We are pretty good at the back but I can’t recall us ever being so devoid of exciting and creative attacking play.

“A striker who doesn’t score many goals? He’ll fit in well here!” That, by the way, is a quote from PM Gordon Brown when I was discussing with him Raith’s new signing at the time, Steve Hislop!
