  1. You will naturally know more about such things than me, but I had been under the impression that he had raised funds privately to cover his legal fees, then the eventual award of costs to him to cover his legal expenses then would have left him with a surplus?
  2. How is Salmond funding this new party, has anything been said to explain that? Is he using some of the Scottish taxpayer’’s money that Sturgeon gave him, or might he use his Russian connections to get backing from Putin, who presumably would love to see the UK being somewhat destabilised?
  3. Wait, so the Greens aren’t just the nice cuddly wing of the independence movement?!

    Six Nations

Fantastic end to a great game, bringing to a close a thrilling tournament. Who’d have thought that big men charging into each other could be so enthralling!
  5. He’ll certainly get a lot of 2nd preference votes from SNP supporters. If the SNP don’t get an overall majority, I think on a personal level Sturgeon would rather form a coalition with the Tories than get into bed (so to speak) with Salmond. Can you imagine them working together in the same cabinet?
  6. If I could tie up one of those players it would be Carson, but I fear he’s one of the least likely to stay, and that even if he chooses to remain in the Highlands it might not be with us.
  7. Had he been fit I’m sure he’d have been a first choice defender. But he was never fit, sadly for everyone.
  8. Yes, opposite side to what we watched live. Much better recognition of light and colour too, the club stream was quite gloomy.
  9. We were staggeringly uncreative going forward. But hey, we are through to the next round and, more than that, we actually managed a rare win against a part-time side!
  10. Credit to Buckie who, taking into account their 3 month lay off, were much better than I expected and I wonder if that surprised our team slightly too. They certainly wanted it more.
  11. Was about to say we’re in real danger of losing this, we’ve been so poor in this half.
  12. Out of interest, when Sturgeon was giving her evidence under oath did you conclude that she was telling the truth regarding the meetings at which she informed about Salmond? “I was told the shocking revelations at a meeting, then a few days later I was told them again, and this time I was so shocked that it made me forgot that I already knew”. Obviously, and perhaps somewhat conveniently for her, it is impossible to prove whether she genuinely forgot or whether she was lying her way out of a hole she had dug. Only she knows.

Not necessarily, France will win if they get 4 tries and a 21 point win over Scotland, which is certainly possible when you see the attacking prowess and determination shown against Wales. What a game that was though, so much drama. Its been a great tournament though. Italy and England just there to make up the numbers but the games between the top 4 sides have been close and exciting.
  14. Never thought I’d find myself saying this, but has Billy Dodds made a difference?
  15. I’m sat here with a beer absolutely delighted but equally baffled as to how we get our 2 best results of the season after a dismal run (1 win in 13?) including some truly some abysmal performances, with the depleted squad getting increasingly fatigued.
  16. Nathan Austin has been loaned by Kelty to East Fife whose season restarts today whilst the Lowland League remains on hold.
  17. Given the recent run of fixtures, we’re surely gonna have to rest some players for this tie and give some youngsters and fringe players more of a chance than they’ve had. Increases the risk of an embarrassing upset, but if you can’t rest some of the tired first teamers for this game then when can you?
  18. Not sure if this is an appropriate time to mention that my wife is “Dundee Utd” through and through.
  19. Nice story here about how it came about that in Nigeria, the term Dundee United is used as slang for an idiot. Dundee is too. It sounds like a fanciful early April Fool story but it appears to be true. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/mar/11/the-unlikely-story-of-how-dundee-united-became-an-insult-in-nigeria
  20. If it’s any consolation, if I had the programme you are needing, I would sell it to you.
  21. No probably about it - based on BBC shots on target we would have scored 9 if he hadn’t been there.
  22. I can tell you from experience that a night in Kirkcaldy makes nobody feel fresher.
  23. Winless run continues, but didn’t look like a side that will get relegated, did we?
