  4. If the Czechs's draw and we finish equal on the same points, the determining factor is the head to head games in this campaign. Since they have 1 win and 1 draw and we have 1 lose and 1 draw they'd finish higher than us. The most likely way of us going through is for Lithuania to beat Czech at home then all we need is three points at Lichtenstein. Can't see us taking anything at Spain but who thought we'd take anything at France when McFadden scored a few years ago. I like to remain optimistic!
  5. Great win. Very much needed! Hopefully this can be the start of our season.

    Nick Ross

Good to see Nick back in the U-21's squad. Definitely didn't have his best game today but we have to remember that he is still young and is developing as a player all the time. Think it's highly unfair those fans who are calling for him to leave on loan etc. As Alex has pointed out he started 35 games last season and he was certainly one of our most consistent performers, in his first season in the SPL and second season of playing full-time professional football! Good luck to him when representing our country.

Website looks great and it's such a massive improvement on what we've had in the past. It's great even to see this past week that information has been getting posted regularly to keep the fans in touch with what is happening. I think i say this on behalf of everyone...but thank you to everyone who is involved in this. It's easy to criticise but it's great to see volunteers giving up their time to make the club more fan friendly. It's great that we have supporters like these guys!
  12. Completely agree with 'Doofers Dad' and 'Libero' in their assessments of todays game. Greatly encouraged by the overall play of the team today. The new signings look like real finds. Defence looked pretty solid throughout although I would feel more comfortable with Hogg playing in at the heart of the defence. Aldred looks like a good commanding defender who has plenty of potential. Will this be the first season that Tokely is pushed out of the team? Gillet was slightly off the pace today however he made a superb block on the line in the first half and I remain positive that he'll turn out to be a good solid left back. Piermayr as mentioned above looks like the solution to our problem right back position. I was very impressed not only with his defensive ability but also his attacking threat in the second half. In midfield, I think Jones could turn out to be our signing of the season. He strolled through the game and showed his quality on the ball, picking out good passes and rarely losing the ball. He easily looks like he could play at a higher standard and unfortunately I think this may be his first and last season with us before he moves back to a 'bigger' club. Tansey started slowly but second half played well, making good, well timed runs into the box and was unlucky not to get a goal. I wonder if Cox will get his place back? And where he'll fit in? Hayes I thought was quiet for his standards. I sometimes found himself trying to do everything by himself instead of moving the ball quicker and stretching Hibs. He did however, play in some great crosses second half and looked a threat. It certainly didn't help that anytime he picked up the ball he had 2 or even 3 players quickly closing him down. Could be a harder season for him as he's been pin pointed by the opposition. Nick Ross had his poorest SPL game for us today i'm afraid. There is no doubt he has ability but today things didn't click for him and Butcher made a good decision to swap things quite early on into the second half. His replacement Doran looks like he's going to be a right handful for SPL defences this year. I'm very excited by the thought of a fully fit Hayes and Doran on the wings running at defenders and putting crosses into the box. Foran had a good game I thought. Once again very hard working, never gave up and always wants to win. I think he suits playing just of the striker and there were a few times when he was being played in slightly too late by his team mates. Another sign that the team are still gelling and getting used to each others styles of play. Tade is a real hard worker. He doesn't know when to give up and I think his attitude will make him a favourite with us all. He played well today, perhaps won't score 15/20 but with the right striker beside him, he'll create goals and cause chaos in oppositions defence. Overall, I'm very excited by the team that TB has put together. For years we have longed to see an attacking, exciting ICT team and I think that it just what we will be getting this season. The team seem determined to get forward as a team and attack. I left the stadium disappointed today that we lost but also very encouraged by the new players and the exciting style of football that was on show today. Lets just give these guys time to gel and i'm sure we're going to see a very successful ICT team this season pushing towards the top six.
  13. Came across this: New Signing
  14. Irvine would be a good signing. Solid full back with a good attacking ability. I imagine it'll be him of McCann playing at right back next season.

    Gary Irvine

I'd be pretty happy with him coming. Good attacking full back but can also do a job defensively. Let's hope he isn't put off by the move to the highlands.
  16. Tuffey Duff Tokely Munro Gillet Cox Ross Doran Sanchez Foran Rooney Subs: Esson, Golabek, Innes, Morrison, Odhimabo, MacDonald, Sutherland
  17. Ross playing twice and in different positions?
  18. Came across THIS article online and thought it was a good read! Maybe we should be thankful to Rita Butcher for the talent that is Richie Foran!
  19. I see from the official site (Link) that Roy has left the club to join Brechin on an emergency loan till the end of the season. I assume that we've seen the last of him as his contract is up at the end of this season. Best of luck to him.
  20. Can someone send me a link please? My one has stopped working!
  21. Bitter blow to concede just a minute after going ahead and thirty seconds before halftime BUT we're doing okay. Esson's not made a save, although we've rode our luck a little at times, we can expect that as that always happens against either side of the Old Firm. Personally I really think we need Hayes or Doran on to give us a bit of an output and a bit of pace down the wing but i imagine TB will wait a bit before bringing either one or both of them on.
  22. Confirmation from BBC that Sutherland and Ross starting on the wings. Doran and Hayes on the bench.
  23. Thanks! I totally understand your point about Hayes/Doran and maybe Ross would be a better pick to start with either Hayes or Doran being used as a super sub if needed. My one concern about Ross is that nobody seems to know his best position? If thats behind the striker, that means dropping Foran deeper which in my opinion is not an option for tonight, as i feel he'll be so integral to our success tonight.
