I was going to suggest that myself. I think Josh Magennis and Billy Mckay are mates so it might be a decent partnership. Josh can also play at right back which in an ideal world would be back up to David Raven rather than sticking Graeme Shinnie there. Just noticed that Magennis's contract is up at the end of the season, one way or another he will be getting pushed down the pecking order with Zola, Vernon and whoever they bring in over January contending for places... I hope Yogi is aware of this. Megennis would be a terrific signing.

I think that Derek Riordan has been out of the game too long. Supposedly he had a terrible attitude at St Johnstone and I don't know what the score was at Bristol City. It's sad that someone that had great potential and is currently third in the top 10 scorers in Scotland can't find a club which has gotten to the point where he is asking to play for clubs for free. Yogi and Derek have worked together at Hibs and would it work out here? Possibly. If Derek knuckled down and got rid of the 'bad attitude' reputation and relish a chance to play for ICT it could work but on the other hand I think it would be too much of a risk for Yogi to take. Andrew Driver would be an interesting signing but only if we sold Marley Watkins. I really don't think we could afford Andrew Driver anyways and it bemuses me that Hearts think that they can sign him.

Seemingly Gregg Wylde leaving has taken a fair bit off their wage bill and now Goodwillie might be possible for them. I don't think it would work for Adam Rooney back here with Billy Mckay already at our disposal.

He seems to be a regular starter at Stevenage and got some goals for them but would he be a regular starter here? I don't think so. I would welcome this move if it is was a months loan due to suspension of Ross Draper and injury till the semi final for Richie Foran but when they are both back Greg would be sitting on the bench most of the time and that's just wasting money that we don't need to. I think we need to focus on back up for Billy Mckay more than anything.

I don't think the players that they have recruited so far in this window would command a high wage from Ross County. Oikonomou was signed as a free agent so he probably got his standard wage that he got last year with them. Jordan Slew, Filip Kiss and Michael Tidser are loan deals, so Ross County will be paying a small percentage of their weekly wage they get at their parent club. Although that Filip Kiss came from a Premiership team, I don't think he has signed a new contract signing Cardiff got promoted so I assume he will still be on championship wages. I think also what's helped them is that Ivan Sproule is off their books and I think he was their highest wage (I may be wrong)

Just noticed on the Tremarco and Williams contract renewal article by the BBC it goes on to say I have a feeling that it may be Brian Rice coming back but if not Duncan Shearer will most likely get it.

The fact that Danny Williams' contract is two years, I would assume Carl Tremarco is the same. I find it really refreshing that we are offering longer deals to players than just a standard year like before.

If we can get James Vincent and Ben Greenhalgh on another year too then we've done good business.

I fully agree that we need another striker coming in. I'd be most interested to see who John Hughes would bring in because I assume he would have a few decent contacts.
