  1. or is it a ploy to try and get the club to offer him a better contract to keep him there and inefect just getting a big fat payrise when a move wasn't even on his mind.
  2. Here is what happens when women become qualified referee's!! http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Here is what happens when women play the glorious game!! http://www.youtube.c...feature=related Here is what happens when a woman forgets the basic rules of the game!! http://www.youtube.c...h?v=4Ee98vg65eE dougal You're treading a thin line here Dougal and probably going to get a lot of people annoyed with your persistantness towards this stupid ridiculous post that you created. The three links you have posted show nothing more than what also happens in mens football so just because it involves women don't highlight it like some exhibition trying to make out that 'this is what happens when women ......'' I think it's about time the thread was removed or taken down to stop others posting because you clearly are not being objective at all throughout any of this thread and I can see from previous threads there are a few who have been offended by it including me, and yes I am a man not a woman!!!!
  3. With Hibs being on a somewhat resurgence over the last couple of games I would start with a 4-3-3 and play Duncan in the middle (if he's fit) and stick Duff to right back to cover for McCann. Personally I'd have him there anyway as his distribution is far better than McCanns. Leave Odi on the bench and try and contain the midfield and pass them out of the game. I also agree Foran needs to be rested, he can't keep playing with his stomach problem but then I think he's the type of player who gives his all and always wants to play. It's a tough decision for TB, do you leave out your determined captain who'll fight for the cause or do you bring someone else in and leave him on the bench? If it were me for this game I'd bring Cox in instead, Foran would make more of an impact from the bench than Cox would if roles were reversed.
  4. Too many teams go to Castle Greyskull fearing that they'll get turned over and freeze on the day or simply don't play and let Celtic dictate the game and tempo. They are not a good team, period, compared to the Celtic teams of the past they are far more inferior to them. If we can get the ball down and pass it, slow it down, don't give them time on the ball and press the game, I genuinely believe we can take something from itand continue the run. We should take hope from the way Rangers turned them over in their back yard (yes people will say it's Rangers but it doesn't matter) and also the St Mirren game. Plus I'd love to see Lennon bubble some more when it doesn't go his way
  5. The FA brought in the 25 man squad rule before the start of the Premier League season to stop stuff like this surfacing again after Wolves made so many changes against Man Utd last season (10 I think also) so I don't see how the FA can step in and say one thing against what Holloway did. Effectively they would be going against their own rule. He is 100% correct in questioning who are the FA to tell him that his players aren't good enough to play in his team and aren't the strongest he has. Players are signed because the manager generally believes that they can make a difference to their team so fair play to the man and leave him be. He is a breath of fresh air and if only managers were allowed to air their thoughts more maybe the whole system wouldn't be in such a mess.
  6. Quality result after being 1v0 down at ht and apparently not playing too well (I say apparently as I wasn't there) it's great that we bounced back in the second half and from listening to TB's interview the players inspired themselves into the fightback. Clearly the squad love being together and it's a testament to the management team that they have the belief and the ability in the team so as not to go mad at half time and let them turn it round themselves with a few words of encouragement. It's also great that the players have the respect of the manager to allow them to have a few pints after the game on the way home knowing that they'll not go over the top. Good to see us stick it right up Hamilton and Imrie especially after the home game earlier in the season, yes it's games we now feel we should win but actually going out and doing it is another thing so a big congratulations to all from me for todays result
  7. It's a daunting run of games certainly but one that I think the players will thrive on and look forward to, I don't think Terry and Mo will let the players get ahead of themselves and each game will be taken one at a time. If we have aspirations of finishing in the top six of the league then this is probably as close to the run we'd have in the last five games maybe without Hibs for the addition of Motherwell, if they can keep their good form going, so it'll be a sign of how far we have come. Personally I'd be happy with 3 points against Hibs then go from there.
  8. Dont suppose there's any chance that Mrs CJ would be appointed to run the line??? Bravo my man, bravo however do you think Dougal would allow it????
  9. I specialise in contoversial topics as the majority on here seem somewhat afraid to do so When you say you were involved in running Caley does this mean collecting the raffle money or cutting up the oranges for half time?? I applaud absolutely everyone who plays his or her part in the running of a football club no matter how small the part is, providing its not to line their own pockets of course It's not that others are afraid to at all it's just on a subject like this there was no reason to start a thread about it and we also have a lot more respect than to feel it necessary to start one. What's the difference between guys or girls watching football or going to football? The only reason you clearly start controversial threads is to be noticed because nothing else you can or will say will get any kind of response.
  10. It would be great to continue the run away against Celtic of all teams (personally the one I hate the most) but as everyone said it will be one of the biggest tests of them all although I'm sure we all thought that against Rangers and look at the result we took for there!!! I'll be there with Caleyjag cheering them on and no matter what happens it'll be a fantastic achievement anyway. I agree with Yngwie that sorting out the home form should be paramount but lets enjoy this record while we can as I'm sure the home form will come ......... lets make it against Hibs next weekend
  11. Have you had a reply yet
  12. Naelifts, I'm glad you posted that before I saw this post, what a complete load of trash this post is and can't believe so many have even graced it with a response. Dougal, seriously start thinking about what you post as you're in danger of being alienated from here with some of the crap you post. A large majority of ICT fans are female and who cares, maybe you go through the turnstile that says 'male only' but last time I looked a very large proportion of fans are female and not just at ICT!!!! How can we promote the game to more people when sexist views like like this are always on show, thanks god you're not on the SFA committee that is promoting the game to families across the whole spectrum of football to try and encourage bigger gates etc. I'd hate to hear what you would say during that.
  13. Enjoying the footie on the tele tonight :)

  14. Reports today are that he'll be out for possibly the rest of the season with knee ligament damage, a bad injury for anyone but another excuse for McGhee to use
  15. .............. oh and I forgot to say, Chris Maguire that win was dedicated to you, girfuy . Next time you dance in front of the away fans make sure you're actually on the winning team!!!!
  16. Not long back from the game and finally I've thawed out but got no voice left lol Great away win when personally I don't think we played our best but a very solid dogged performance by everyone getting stuck in when needed. Esson's save in the first half was fantastic and the penalty was one of those that you can see why it was given if you're the team it's for but livid if it's against you but who cares haha. I do think though we missed the influence of Duncan in the middle just to put his foot on the ball and slow things down a bit and pass it about as we lumped it forward to Rooney an awful lot. On the whole absolutely delighted with the win and so many positives from it, still things to be worked on but very encouraging that while not playing to our best we can still get great away wins Final thought goes to the Aberdeen fan behind the goal who got pelted by the ball when the players were warming up, bet that tea was hot
  17. Getting ready to head to Pittodrie - getting all my layers ready lol

  18. Me and Caleyjag will be there, a 'home game' for us also.
  19. Third week we'll be following the plight of Mark, a middle aged man trying to fake it as a football manager
  20. I'm really looking forward to it apart from the chance of possible hypothermia during or after the game. I'll be surprised if they have 4000 or 5000 at the game. I would go with the team that started against Rangers if Duncan is fit and use the midfield to control the game, without Hartley in there they don't have direction or leadership and with the pace of Hayes and strength of Rooney we should give there very poor defence a torrid time. Nothing to fear going into this game and I just don't see McGhee being able to motivate them,
  21. Unless they forgot to take all the merchandise out of the shop window then I would say that it is still open, I walked passed it a couple of weeks ago and Caleyjag walks passed it everyday and the shop is full of their stuff.
  22. It was third placed team we were playing, and it was only a freak goal that was the difference. So its not that bad. Could be worse...could be a Dons fan!!! I only put it that way cause I don't like getting beat, not downheartened though as you said they are in third place plus they had won 4 out of 5 away this season if I'm right? If I was a Dons fan though I'd be wanting McGhee out now, it doesn't matter who you play or the injuries etc you have a 9v0 defeat is undefendable ................... or as they showed today no defence at all lol
  23. poor home form continues
