  1. Not so good having the feeder club slipping down a division. It always strikes me that the animosity from Dingwall towards ICT seems genuine while the attitude going the other way is more of a friendly rivalry. Or am I completely wrong.
  2. Insane, as for one of the other ones on that page...... Imagine Tommy's Face
  3. Sounds Good... Give Me a CCCCCCCCCCCCCC
  4. Prices to give you the joyful kilmarnock blues All at TCS please note
  5. The game has been postponed.......waterlogged pitch? :007:
  6. There's a lot of complaining about the standard of football on display - haven't those people realised that that is the standard of the SPL - go along to Falkirk v Dunfermline or St Mirren v Dundee Utd and you'll see more of the same, or do these people all imagine that Lee Wilkie can normally be seen performing Ronaldo type tricks or Gary Maismith does a passable Zidane impersonation except when they come to play ICT. As for the support, I've only been to one recent away game and that was at Tynecastle (another humdrum SPL game) where a sizeable home support were completely mute throughout, and from what I've seen and heard on telly, other SPL clubs don't exactly rival Galatasaray for atmosphere either. There is a lot of criticism of both the team and the support which seems to based on an imagined standard of support and team performance that people think exists elsewhere when the reality is similar to what we see at TCS most weeks. That said, it's still self defeating for CC to criticise the support but I'm sure he'll learn.
  7. Well done Grant Munro, another ICT legend. On the subject of appearances, I notice that Ryan Giggs will clock up 700 games for Man U. this weekend - that's some going at that level.
  8. I sympathise with your posting Gringo, and I hate sitting next to some ignorant OF tosspot in the home end, but I must admit it made our last minute victory over Rangers at Xmas even sweeter to see the faces of those clowns when Rankine screamed in his winner. That bit of schadenfreude aside it should definitely be clamped down on by the stewards and police. It seems like they're the only people in the ground who can't identify the wannabe weegies.
  9. I was watching the game at work and had to miss the 10 minutes or so during which McSwegan and McAllister came on - when I came back in with about 5 mins to go I was fecked if I could work out why we suddenly had these two on plus Bayne up front and a huge hole in midfield !!! I'm not usually one to criticise a managers tactics, but those were astonishing when we were sitting 1-0 up with 10 mins to go. I could've understood it if we'd been 1-0 down. I'm sick about the result and bemused by the substitutions. :007:
  10. For what it's worth........ Fraser Tokely Dods Munro Hastings Duncan Black Rankin Wilson Bayne McSwegan Should Hart be available I'd take him on for Barry if he gets knackered, with Rory on for McSwegan once his batteries run out.
  11. Alex - brave, but it's easy to see why you're stuck out here with me in the Nort Sea s**t instead of sitting behind a mahogany desk at TCS, :016: RiG - thanks for that - Roll on Hart's return
  12. Can anyone clarify the current situation with Ritchie Hart - are we likely to see him back soon ???
  13. I hope someone behind the scenes is seriously twisting Dargo's arm whilst offering to line his pockets as much as we can to sign on for longer. His erm shouldn't take much twisting at the moment !! There isn't another player in the squad who we need more.
  14. I see what you mean, but I doubt many OF fans who came during the promotion years now stay away from TCS just because we're in the SPL. Can't speak for Inversneckians, but the Nairn OF fan(nie)s that I see at games have never attended other games at TCS, either now, or in season's past. Mind you most of them have never been within a hundred miles of Weegieland either.
  15. in the scheme of things, no.
  16. CB - I always doubted that the number of stayaways was significant, but if someone like your good self who is steeped in Sneckie football is questioning their influence, then maybe there are more than I am aware of, but I've never seen or heard any evidence to support that. I can however vouch that their is little support for ICT from the likes of the Nairn football fraternity except when the OF come to town, when I spot them nestling scarfless among the home support. As I've said before, if these people have the mentality to continue supporting the OF when they are born and bred in the Highlands, then ICT are better off without their narrow minded ignorance. Best of it is, most of the Weegie OF supporters think they're a bunch of f@nnies too :015:
  17. Wasn't there, and haven't seen it on the box, but Duncan is usually excellent at sticking to his task of cancelling out the oppositions biggest threats, wouldn't be like him to be posted missing. Looking to next week, replace Roy with Black and we'll maybe see a bit more creativity feeding the front men. As for who should partner Bayne, well the choice aint exactly enormous but it needs freshening up, we looked like we couldn't buy a goal recently, the only real option is McSwegan on from the start with Rory coming on once the Swegster's knackered. There just aren't any magic wands to be waved to produce a matchwinner from the back room unless Ritchie Hart is on his way back. As my old granny always said, you can only p**h with the c**k you've got ! Alex - I know feck all about football which is why I'm stuck in the middle of the feckin north sea, but this is more interesting than what I'm supposed to be doing right now and it passes the trip.
  18. probably :016:
  19. It's a great idea, the top team from the bottom 6 all get a marvelous personalised timepiece as a momento of their achievements..... More seriously though, it does keep the interest up, compared with being mid table in a bigger league where games rapidly become meaningless around this time.
  20. Check Mannies link fae that gemme, great day oot,eh wiz still at Alness and Bobby Geddes got us compo's as his Brother in law wiz in the RAF wi us Nairn gemms Still think Dee V Hibs 3-3 was best eh ever saw Thanks for pointing that one out HD, and compliments to the Mannie for his efforts.
  21. Meadowbank Thistle 1 - Nairn County 2, 11th Jan 1986 Closely followed by County's home game in the next round against a flukey Dundeh side who sneaked 7 breakaway goals completely against the run of play at Station Park Happy daze in the cowshed :001:
  22. For me, Saturday was a real driech mid winter 0-0 draw if ever I saw one, the experience suitably enhanced by the cutting East Coast wind, but if either team deserved 3 points it was probably ICT, but there wasn't much in it. For my Edinburgh trip entertainment value it ranked well below Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and for excitement it was on about a par with the fossils department of the National Museum but not as good as the witch-hunt and guillotine display in the Scottish section.

The Dundee Arabs have undergone a religious transformation in the last few years - they used to be Sunni's but now they're completely Shi'ite.
  24. interesting, but what a hellish picture of CC, he looks like phil cool :010:
  25. too intellectual for this humble punter but funny none the less talking of footballing socrates....
