  1. Tahiti did well last night and the scoreline should have been a lot more. Fortunately for Tahiti their Nigerian counterparts got a bit arrogant and cocky and wasted a dozen more chances to score when I reckon my dog could have tucked those chances away. But they were too busy trying to go round the keeper or place their shot rather than put their laces through the ball.
  2. Haha! My second club are nicknamed The Stags. Not for much longer by the look of it though, they're on the brink of going out of business. Besides, C*unty are Staggies, not Stags. Doesn't even make sense.
  3. Any ICT fans in the Southampton area going to the game? I know it's a long shot but it would be good if there are any more of us down this way for us to travel together either by car or train.
  4. I use the Co-op in Fortrose when I'm in the area.
  5. Love it. Can't wait to get mine.
  6. The latest sneak peek seems to suggest AC Milan-esque red & black stripes. I'm cool with that.
  7. Putting in a shout for The Kessock Stand. Down in Totton, there's a local pub called The Bell. We were hoping they'd be interested in stand naming sponsorship so we could have a Bell End.
  8. not good i wanted rid of him for good So did I, I think everyone does except he is a good conductor for our singing fans ;) that is the only thing i like about him, is he is so easy to abuse I think he had potential. One more season at County and he could have surpassed the seethe-master himself.
  9. Not read through the whole thread but I'll just throw some out and see if they've been mentioned yet. Also don't know how many of them actually played at TCS. Just names I can think of off the top of my head. Latvia - Pavels Mihadjuks Kenya - Victor Wanyama Algeria - Madjid Bougherra Democratic Republic of Congo - Yves Ma-Kalambay Cyprus - Angelis Charalambous Estonia - Henrik Ojamaa Gabon - Daniel Cousin Uganda - David Obua
  10. Vigurs' move to Oldham has fallen through. According to what I've read on Twitter he might be on his way to Sevco.
  11. Didn't Vigurs go to Oldham? Wouldn't mind Jim McAllister here. Barry Robson is also apparently a free agent. I'd have him here if he was affordable. Bet Aberdeen and Dundee Utd will be sniffing around.
  12. I signed Jeffers for us on FIFA a few years back. He did alright and banged a few goals in, but then again I was controlling him, rather than him controlling himself.
  13. The club did a tour of 3 or 4 clubs in the South of England a couple of years back. Was perfect for me living in 'Ampshire.
  14. Competition is what I look for when deciding which league is the best. La Liga is weak in that respect. the Championship is more competitive and generally a better watch than La Liga. In Spain, only two clubs have any chance of winning the league. And at the moment, one of those two is struggling to keep up with the other. Even League One; Yeovil were one of the nailed-on guaranteed favourites for relegation at the start of the season and now they find themselves one promotion away from playing at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge. The excitement and unpredictability is what I enjoy most, rather than the snorefest that is Spanish football. German football is starting to emerge as the top game and rightly so, they've done things properly by investing in youth and grassroots and bringing through youngsters good enough to represent their country. The Premier League has a long way to go to match the German model. Clubs are so desperate for instant success that they bankroll multi-million superstar foreign transfers rather than putting that money into the youth academy side of the club and building for sustained success in the future. Look what has happened to Portsmouth just along the coast from me. Bought an FA Cup triumph and a season in Europe playing the likes of AC Milan and now just a few years on they find themselves in League Two. As for the SPL, it's still a one-horse race without Rangers but it has allowed other clubs such as ourselves, Motherwell, St Johnstone etc to flourish and challenge at the top end of the table. Rangers will get back into the SPL and the league will be better off for it but I don't think they will find it easy to finish in the top two by the time they get back.
  15. Would have thought a few Championship clubs would be interested in him. Great news that he has decided to stay. And a three-year deal! We don't dish those out very often.
  16. Is this game on tonight? The weather hasn't been great over the last 24 hours and I don't know what their pitch is like. I'm up in Inverness for the week from Southampton and this is the only friendly I'm free to go to so I'd really quite like it to go ahead.
  17. Ryan Wallace at East Fife looks good. Scored over 20 goals this season and Caley do seem to have a knack for getting the best out of lower league strikers.
  18. Why are they waving Scotland flags?
  19. This is ridiculous. He should be commanding at least ?500k. If/when he moves on, it should be to a top end Championship team/lower end Prem team. Someone like Wigan, Blackburn or QPR would probably be willing to pay upwards of ?750k for him. Why should we accept such a paltry, insulting offer from some Russian nobodies? I'd rather let him go for nothing in the summer than accept such a pitiful amount for one of the hottest prospects in Scottish football. He'll go to Russia and be forgotten. It's bad enough these Russians even had the nerve to make an offer, let alone for such a disgracefully low sum. I was in a good mood today but I'm f***ing p***ed off now! :swear:
  20. I'm going to be controversial here, because I don't have much sympathy for the referees. Yes they may well have a difficult job, but that doesn't excuse them from being as consistenty terrible as they have been. The mistakes being made by referees, not just in Scotland, but right across England as well have been slowly getting more severe. The consequences of their mistakes are greater because they're getting massive, game-changing decisions wrong. A lot of teams in the country could argue that they would be better off by a few points if referees had been doing their jobs properly. They shouldn't be excluded from abuse and criticism because their jobs are dfficult. Point is, they've been bloody awful these last couple of seasons and are rightly getting the criticism their displays have deserved. And now they've thrown their toys out of their prams because they can't hack it. They're making a big deal of this Respect Campign, but if they want respect from players, fans and management, they have to earn that respect by doing their jobs properly. You can't have respect by default. Treat others as you would want to be treated youself, as my grandfather used to say. Referees don't do their jobs to the best of their abilties, make too many mistakes, are getting too consistent in their incorrect decision making, and are robbing teams of points. That doesn't deserve respect, it deserves criticism. About bloody time too.
  21. He can't ignore him now. He just can't. What on Earth did Shane Long do to warrant a call up to the Norway game last week? Kevin Doyle? And does Robbe Keane still get call-ups? If he does it's on reputation and NOTHING else. Rooney cannot be ignored any longer by Ireland.
  22. If he left for England I'd love to see him at Southampton. We've jut sent Jason Puncheon on loan to Millwall until January 3rd and according to rumours from inside the club it doesn't look like he'll be coming back. Major fallings out apparently. Plus France under-21 captain Morgan Schneiderlin will probably leave the club as well, interest from Chelsea, Fulham and Sunderland. So it looks like we'll need midfield reinforcement in January. Eric has proven himself at SPL level and the level below. He could easily be one of the best players in League One and maybe the Champiionship. First and foremost I'd hope he stays at Inverness though.
