Motherwell preview & matchday thread
2-1 down underservidely, controlled most the game but Motherwell are dangerous on the break through humphries, first goal was a corner that sneaked in at the near post, the second humphries stretched his legs tore past shinnie and draper and gave higdon a easy finish. Foran motm so far. Tidy finish, very good aerially.

George Brislen-Hall
Left back was an area where we had no cover, apart from g.shinnie we have no other left back. Good move imo. If worst comes to worst then we can play gbh left back and shinnie left wing or vice versa

Not been offered a professional contract doesn't say anything about not been on arsenals books though could still have a year left on his apprentice contract.

Is the point in a partnership with another club not to take their players, and develop them for a cut price or no cost atall?

Arbroath Smokies & Updates
From the sounds of it every time the words "andrew shinnie" are uttered there should be a halelujah.

Team for Arbroath
Either butcher is changing the whole team for Motherwell on Sunday. Or he's going for it. Good move. Although with esson in goals and reguero fit could this mean reguero starts Sunday? Very interesting.

Mark Brown signs for County
These Players should be calling themselves spl players now to lose 4-1 to raith is unacceptable. But that's for them to worry about il just laugh at them in the mean time

Arsenal Trialist - Philip Roberts
Look at it sceptically but not negatively. This guy plays the same level as Conor pepper for Ireland so he already has someone he knows here. And if he's half the prospect pepper is he will do pretty well imo.

Tour de France
He's still the 7 time tour de France winner to me.

Nick Ross injury
I'm old school when it comes to this. The harder the better, get the ball and it's fine take the man on the follow through and that's a bonus. Seen nothing in it.

ICT v CELTIC - 25/08/12
I'm afraid that while I might hint at what I know (and that's a pretty big hint right there), in this case I have agreed not to go into it too much, but the story will probably come in the end and it IS relevant to the discussion. Whether you'd believe it though, no matter who said it or where came from, is another matter... I know exactly what your talking about Renegade but as you say there's no point of going into as the happy clappers wont have a bad word said about anything Butcher does . Are you two the same person?

And I'm telling you from what I saw (a lot more than you) that he was not. Deary me! Your getting away from the point. My point is why are people singling out certain players and not others who havnt been up to scratch either?
-
Richie Foran
I said from what I seen he was awful. And by his standards he was. But that's only half the story. I simply pointed out that essons been poor so far this season and has possibly cost us a couple results. I was simply questioning the mentality of some on here as foran and raven are taking slatings and essons getting off scratch free. If I had it my way everyone would have a win as a team lose as a team mentality, but seems to me certain players are being singled out.

Disagree I'd expect no less from you

Richie Foran
Well that might be one, but he was not at fault for any of the goals and had it not been for him, it could well have been six or seven. To say he was "awful" is incorrect. awful by his standards
-
Small crowds? Little wonder!
Id buy 2

He wasn't awful. None of the goals were his fault and it was more of a case of the players in-front of him not being good enough rather than him not instilling confidence in them from what I could see, with Raven and King looking particularly poor, as well as Graeme Shinnie not playing to his normal standard (Warren was okay). I've mentioned that it's a two way thing above. And it's not all on esson, the point I'm making is when is foran get flack for one mistake and esson getting next too none for several this season. I wasn't there but I seen the extended highlights and there were a few instinces where he should of done better. When he came to get the ball from what, didn't get it tried again missed it again, and watt got shot away an almost scored. That's the one the sticks out for me.

Very true. I'm just confused as to why our captain who's put 1 foot out of line in 1 game this season, who was brilliant in pre season is being slaughtered instantly and esson is just getting a "esson made a mistake but well move on" sort of attitude. Seems abit unfair. It's not esson I'm picking at here he's just been unfortunate enough to be the one i used as an example. And I hope that with reguero back fighting fit esson will be looking over his shoulder and will push on like he did when tuffey was pushing him.

Especially in such a tight league. Btw why's no one questioned esson? He's been the worst he's ever been so far. Cost us the win at st mirren. Could he of done better against killie for their goal too? I'm not sure but possibly. Flapped abit at hearts, and was awful today. It's a two way thing the defense has to protect the keeper and the keeper has to give the defense confidence. So far that's been the most worrying issue for me. Not foran, not raven, not butcher but Esson. It's not a "I want him dropped" it's a. "I want him to play aswell as I know he can"

Is Butcher the Man for the Job?
I don't like having little icons that indicate I havnt read it. Just my ocd.
-
raven
Honestly. What did you expect us to get today? I'm intrigued. If you think that we could get a result at a kanter against Celtic then your deluding yourself. Their a team of full internationals. We are a team of promising youngsters and youth internationals. It is literally a case of men vs boys when we play them.

Some one close this thread. Sickens me whenever I see it come back up.
