  1. I think my views on Cowie today wouldve been different had I not read some of his ridiculous quotes regarding his future, ability and "achievements". He did try today but he wasnt good enough and unlike Black or Immrie he didnt look like hwas ever going to be good enough, he far from put himself in the shop window. If youre reading this Don, thats the truth, youve found your level, you need to start ignoring whoever it is thats telling you youre a superstar and concentrate on securing your place/reputation at the only SPL club to ever show interest in you..!
  2. Only caught the game on TV but thought Don Cowie looked poor, wasteful with the ball at his feet and always looking the wrong way. Maybe he came across differently in person but for me he was the biggest let down of the day.
  3. Have no fear CD, not had a proper look yet but it seems like about 5 of us actually got something today.
  4. Cowdenbeath @1.90
  5. So much for that then. Back to where I was pre England u21's! Roll on the weekend
  6. Turkey 1/2 to beat Estonia this Wednesday night with Hills lads... LUMP ON
  7. 10/1? Jesus Christ, I'd hate to be in your bookies, surely thats a 33's bet?
  8. No other bets for me this weekend, my England u21's bet was in so spent the winnings on Spain to win HT/FT, price of the season I'm getting at 1/2, biggest price in world football for a long time.
  9. I predict the US presidential election wont take place until next year.. What odds somebody willing to give me on that to a ?100 stake?
  10. England U21's tonight @4/6 with Hills is a cracking bet. Any amount of cash spent on Spain to beat Estonia tomorrow will return 20%, aslong as you arent using an Icelandic bookie then its free money.
  11. Billy Dodds, your such a f..in ***** etc
  12. Dunfermline @ 2.20
  13. Maybe we should make Ian Black Director of Football while we're banding about new contracts. Kill two birds with one stone.
  14. Livingston @2.00 tough tough week, doubt I'll be on anything with real cash. Sticking to the Scottish Cup games
  15. Caley D is right enough, the week he wrote Anna Draw @3.1 I put it down as a loser, obviously misreading it as an Annan away win (or Joe did, whoever did that week!). I'll sort out the tota just now for the top week, as I really dont have the stomach to be updating them for each week since then tbh..!
  16. If he'd written "Annan to draw with whoever @ 3.1 - ?10" on a betting slip then he would have to be given the price it really was (3.6), as the selection, stake and terms of the bet are clearly stated, had he just written "Annan @3.6" then the bet would be ambiguous and voided if he disputed not being paid out on the draw, despite claiming that was the bet intended and even if the odds asked for were available on the X. Infact nowadays writing any price on a betting slip is pointless for any reason other than being able to work out yourself what the payout will be should it win, the pricing of CD's bet is not within a range that could easily be put down to palpable error (ie. putting 1.3 as the odds rather than 3.1) but as the terms and stake are perfectly clear, then he has to be paid out at 3.6 (just as if he had written 1.3 or 6.3). As of September 07, all payouts and stakes owed to bookamkers offering a credit service are now legally enforceable in court, if the bet was taken 'in good faith' and the outcome required for a payout is clearly stated. The phrase 'in good faith' when used by bookies is a bit outdated because of course everything can be sorted out in court, whereas before it was mutual gentleman's agreement that punters would get anything back at all! As far as I'm concerned CaleyD is getting his extra points as his intention to bet on Annan to draw is perfectly clear. Like in any bookamkers humans make mistakes, but its not as if the payouts or bets placed are a secret in this one, if anybody has a dispute then they can take it up with everybody else whenever they wish. If I've added extra points to anybodies totals then please point them out folks..! I'm happy to let Joe do it every week if he can be arsed, Reef you can do it too if you want, I did say at the top of this topic that if anyone wants to add the scores up week to week then stick the table here and I'll move it up top. While youre at it Reef, why dont you ask Joe or myself to give you a few extra points too, so you dont come second in the who can lose the least money game youve got going on the side?
  17. CaleyD madea mistake a few weeks back, put Annan to draw as his bet but wrote the odds of an Annan win in his post (3.1 when shouldve been 3.6 !). As for the other one then its a genuine mistake!
  18. I've no read too far into it but it wouldnt surprise me to read that you will have already paid enough comms betting normally to cover the extra charge. If you have a large strike rate from few bets then youll be penalised more than if you have a slight winning advantage over 10-15k individual bets a year which Sids system will have. All said, if youre affected or not, the whole thing ******* stinks.
  19. Nice one Clacher, hope you were you on it big style? Prices like that don't come along very often especially when theres been an avalanche of money staked. Bet you couldn't believe it when the bookies never cut the price, all your Christmas's must have come at once. You hear alot of things working in a betting shop, most of it is garbage and can be ignored, some of it isnt though. Despite my growing hatred of Annan Athletic I had hardly anything on it, just wasnt convinced the going was good by lunchtime Saturday, the time to back against Annan will come again I've no doubt.
  20. 20% charge on all accounts that have made a profit of 10,000 over 60 weeks, unless theyve paid 20% of that profit in commision already, few will be had by it but those that do will notice it big time. It's a total farce, disgusting charge by Betfair, I've said my piece on their forum already and I cant be bothered repeating myself! The saddest thing about all this is Betdaq are doing absolutely nothing to bring people over, whoevers running that shop must hate money.
  21. The big mans info was correct, the money was all on Forfar this week, didnt get the chance to post anything as I've hardly been online, but it was!
  22. Forfar @ 2.75
  23. Any idea if I can go down to Tynecastle during the week to pick up tickets? Think thats more of a Pie and Bovril question.
  24. Ayr @ 1.83
  25. By all means have a go but youll be starting with a pretty big handicap, still along way to go mind.
