The latest from Mr Savage......
I asked the question last time this came up and never received an answer, what percentage of the two home stands are full over the course of a season? The figure that was being banded about on here was that when the ground is 80% full we could then justify a West Stand, which will never happen aslong as 2,000+ empty seats currently exist in the away end for most games

Thought for the morning..................
Only ever seen ICT fans start a decent Mexican wave at a Scotland game.

Aberdeen Game
It was either drop Wyness or drop Nicolae, a fully fit Baynes a first team player everytime for me. Which of the two would he get/give the most from/too? Wyness or Marius? Sadly I think probably Marius but who knoes, Wyness and Bayne have never truely kicked off as a partnership. With the midfield I'd go for we need the extra bottle up front. Cowie has to start, as does Black, I think Morgan will give us more on the left than Wilson can now (and theres nae room for Barry on the right, once Sutherlands back its curtains for sure). Rankin I'd give a similar comment to Baynes above, even though neither have done anything yet this year. In defense I think Hastings should go back in at left back, the guys an internatinal and a proven class act, with other naturally left sided players infront of him in Rankin and Morgan he could shine. McBain at LB.... its fun to experiment but it was never meant to be a long term solution. Zib, couldve had him straight in there as soon as he signed, of all the positins in the park its the one I'd worry least about.

Aberdeen Game
Zib Ross - Munro - Mcguire - Hastings Cowie - Black - Rankin - Morgan Nicolae - Bayne Would be my choice but it wont happen for a long time.

Finger licking good
Chicken number 5 was a panic buy, had Nicolae come in first then we wouldnt have gone for a player who was rated so poorly at Arsenal and Gills. I'm really interested to see how Rory and Gary Wood get on over the year, Brew and Dean will need replaced next year and this pair could be the answer

Time to drop Fraser
No amount of support and backing will stop a bad keeper making mistakes.

Jobs worths
Thought the same Caley, theres legitimate ways of making your feelings known at a game, if the swapping tickets thing is true then its clearly not one of them. Not sure if I've asked this before or not.. but is all of the club/stewards behaviour towards fans legal?!

Why do we....
Remember that game well RIG, attendance given was 18,500 but every stand (including the corner bit) was full. It was our first season in the SPL and I remember thinking then how much better being involved in an ICT game was when 20,000 fans were there! Shame they dont have any fans these days.
-
Why do we....
I've no idea. Its not like Rangers or to a lesser extent Celtic games where about 1,000 of the home fans are blatantly supporting the other team, maybe Invernessians just like boring football?

'We're top and you're bottom'
Yeah well done to them, its a shame there arent as many Part Time teams in the SPL.

And good luck to Hibs, who are carrying the money I won off ICT last night. As for the Old Firm games, couldnae care less :022:

This town does my nut sometimes...
Hearts shop in Livingston makes more money than the one in Edinburgh apparently!

In Inverness Tomorrow
Best bet would be to stay in the town center and grab a taxi out to the game.

January Transfer Window
Well whats been established is that we have a squad thats pretty much full (complete with promising young players doing well away on loan), so we should only look at players who are likely to improve our starting 11. So who are the candidates for being replaced? Wilson and Brewster are obvious, replacements for them in the first team are already here in Cowie and Nicolae, themselves are regulars with back up. Hastings isnt young but we will have a good two years left out of him at maximum pace, Munro and Tokely will play for us until about 2043. We have an obvious gap at the back, which has to be the priority. We may be a bit heavy in midfield but there is real quality there, Black, Cowie and Rankin are superb players, throw in a fit and eager Morgan and you've got 4 players who together should be as strong as any in Scotland. McBain and Proc look good enough to cover on either flank (in the middle or at the back) with Markus and Sutherland waiting in the wings. Then theres Ritchie Hart and Russel Duncan, both decent deputies but the two players I'd be looking to move on. I rated Keogh as being much better than both of those players (in both Harts offensive and Duncans defensive roles) and he was shown the door, I would put getting in an excellent holding Midfielder as next on the shopping list after a Center Half. It's probably the most important position on the park for any system, I think we could do better than Russel. Doesnt necessarily have to be somebody with vast experience either, would like to see us bring in somebody around 21-23 with the same drive and ability as Cowie, whose preferred position is infront of the back 4. Up front we seem to be a bit messed up just now, no combination of strikers is clicking perfectly with the midfield. Injury to Rory and Bayne has narrowed down the options there for now, so we may not have our best two forwards out there just yet. Brewster isnt a 90 minute player and Wyness isnt good enough, its a real shame for the guy me typing this but he can be replaced. I think Deano will turn out to be a total dud when he gets his chance, as simplistic as it looks written down, he is just too small for us. Also he was Christies signing, which will further hinder his chances under Brew, the Gills fans didnt rate him and claim he cant run! Everbodies got an opinion on Nicolae and rightfully so, the guy has to play but who with? Graham Bayne would be my choice, fights for everything and always alert. At the moment he is the best finisher we have in the squad (besides Brewster of course) and with runners from midfield supporting them both we would see the best from the partnership, in the form of goals! To further confuse things up front we still have Rory Mac and Gary Wood, who could well end up as our first choice front two in a couple of seasons time, they could be anything. In goals you have to wonder if Fraser is the best choice, some have said Zibi should go straight in and why the **** not? The lad has potential but hes been through a world of sheit this season, which he has to take alot of the blame for. If we get everything else right then the man between the sticks is individually the least important player on the park. So yeah... I'd be looking to bring in a Central Defender and a Holding Midfielder, infact somebody giving our current back 2 more protection could even eliminate the immediate need for a new defender. I've no idea who the new guy would be, I'd hope the football people might, but they should be top of the wish list next summer.

Injuries.....
Wilson is having to play on the left because Cowie is doing so well. There we have Rankin or Morgan to step in for 30 minutes a game, or even Hastings left midfield? :029: Bayne coming back is a big plus, he's always given us an aggressive nippy edge up front, perhaps Brew and Wyness have more ability but they cant harass the opposition.
-
McCaffrey or McGuire
McGuire gets stuck in, most important quality in a defender when under pressure, I'd have him in ahead of Caff. How about them both ahead of Munro?
