No need for anything to begin tearing us up from the inside. Shinnie has done what's best for him. I would. Captain us until the end of the season.. Go out on good terms with the club. Why change anything beyond the obvious.

PAY WHAT YOU WANT - ST JOHNSTONE 20TH JANUARY
TheKarl replied to CELTIC1CALEY3's topic in Caley Thistle
I don't understand how quality of opposition is being thought as reason that the turnout may be a fair average? Surely, folk like seeing there team win and if it's perceived as a lesser opponent.. then our chances are higher.. so what's not to like? -
I don't blame anyone for wanting to go, let's not lie.. there's many and far better things on offer than what we can provide. Clubs with bigger fanbases, better training facilities, more money, better location.. a Nandos - and so on. Inverness and our club are hardly the greatest treasure but we work with all we have. However, folk like Tansey and anyone else who's signed new contracts fairly recently, I appreciate greatly for choosing to stay where they are, immense dedication to our cause We know fine well we are always going to be in a hard place but slowly we're doing things to improve and get by. Especially managing to get into a scheme of offering contracts longer than a year has been a massive thing. And I don;t think for a second if they havn't been offered a contract as of yet then they won't at all. It's business and I'm positive there's a lot more thought into it than some people may or may not think, just slapping a salary on paper and wanting a 'Yay or Nae' Immense admiration though for most players, coming here in the first place and even more so if they choose to continue.

Dani Sanchez and the hat he wore on title day.
-
How long - roughly - has it taken in the past to remove covers with volunteers?
-
If "hundreds" of volunteers turn up at 10am, I'll pay next seasons Caley Season ticket for you. Or County. Which ever you prefer. I'm sure the club know what they need to work within their means, aswell as previous experience of numbers and such.

Is there actually a hint of people getting annoyed or whatnot that we are enjoying the fact we have more than one player scoring goals? Get a grip. Aye like anyone else.. I'de like Billy to have popped more in, it's his trade specialty after all, it's what you expect! But I can't see past the enjoyment of not going into a game and basing it all on wether "Billy has his shooting boots on or not?" If most players finished on equal goals at the end of the season.. Or 5/6 on 10 each.. I'll be over the moon..

Have offered to help with design work in the past so I'm game again to do so.
-
The only negative I have about Yogi at the moment is his monotonous post/pre-match interviews. That sound exactly the same, each week haha. But aye, journalists, pundits and all sorts have claimed to admire our football this season, I'm not complaining.

20 shots on goal, 5 on target. If there was ever an excuse to give Sekajja more opportunity.. this is it.
-
Our twitter feed used the words "should have/should be" too many times already for my liking.. slightly worrying.
-
Never had a problem with Ashton Lane the odd time I've been. Some of the places are decent, I'de say it's more hipster if anything.. The Corinthian is where your "ballers" go. Anyway, it could be of advantage to us but soon as anyone on the squad starts thinking that, you have to avoid complacency.. however much it may be. We still need to play incredibly well.. they're in second for a reason.
-
According to our twitter, penalty was clearly outside the box aswell. Sore one.
-
Ferguson makes it 3-2 to ICT. Subbed on for Sekajja.
-
I'm sure I had seen the asnwer to this somewhere but can no longer locate it. I know the stadium bar requires tickets for entry but is the game in general ticket only? Or can I infact - now that I have the opportunity to go - to just pay at the gate?
-
We could be winning the league year in, year out and I still don't think it would change much attendance wise. Maybe our core support based on population really is just around 3000? University and colleges are an interesting point, as I know many a ICT fan who are outwith Inverness and ofcourse, being a student comes with controlling your finances. I know I couldn't make a vast majority of home games when I was in Glasgow and I know I'm not the only one. Maybe down the line when the university opens and Inverness has more to offer to increase student population, then I think you'll always lose out by the time folk turn 17/18 over the next few years. Everyone has there own individual reason for not attending and the chances of remedying every one of them is next to impossible. As suggested, surveys in the city centre or whatnot and other events and generate some numbers for reasons. It all gets talked about very much on here but then, this isn't most of Inverness. We can suggest and guess at the more probable reasons but until we get active to find out why.. we'll never know for sure.

Always happy to lend a hand, especially creatively to try and stir up interest.

Couple of good pictures on the SNS Group website. Grand to see him in the kit.

A wee twist of the arm to meet the demands of Gow perhaps?

Have I just not payed much attention as of late but whatever happened to this Arsenal "link" Was it just an agreement as long at Terry Butcher was in charge or is it carrying on and it's just proving pointless? Why not a youth striker on loan? I'm sure it's been probably been brought up before but it seems like it should be a fairly easy option. Unless ofcourse we don't reckon anyone is good enough.. or indeed, anyone thinks we are.
-
Very pessimistic about this season. ****-farting about at the back still on show and with no signs of action in the striker department it's hard to get my hopes up. Teams have Sussed we rely on Billy and judging by reports throughout threads, teams.. wether they can match his ability or not are trying to or do have him in their pockets. Is anyone genuinely excited for this season to start? Not me.
-
As a previous long term employee of Sports Direct, this doesn't surprise me at all. The greediest folk I think I've ever seen. As much publicity and profit for as little.. Imorally little as possible. Shame Oldham have ventured into this. Silly decision.
-
Exactly. Ofcourse, clubs of all shapes and sizes.. want to make profits but how much are we willing to sell out and sacrifice to do that? I'm not saying we are in that frame but if that at somepoint along the line, is, then - although extreme to say - at what point do we become a business with a trade.. rather that a football club. I don't believe there are any folk out there that actively hate stripes or constantly crave solid blue and more so, that they just don't mind at all what we are. Close knit community club where fans are happy to buy kits to show who they support and in turn, support the club just because it's the norm. If folk say last seasons home top was the best seller to date, then how significant a difference in takings is it from the next closest? or the next closest striped top? Is it enough to justify chopping and changing our kit design every few seasons to haul a few more pennies.. rather than hammer home an identity? Certainly feels like we're a "do and take whatever fits our fancy this year" outfit.
-
Regardless of how we're playing in these friendlies, as soon as the league starts, everyone already has us sussed. Unless we find someone to partner Billy or to play an attacking role behind, wether a new transfer or a player at the club, all these tactics may be rendered useless because all clubs needed to do was clamp down on Billy and we were useless. It's nice to hear we're trying new things and yes, it may contribute to more attacking opportunities but as we all know, they need to be converted and if the shackles are on McKay.. then aye, last season all over again.
-
Iain Aulds photo on Instagram has the kits looking their best for me which has sold me on it more. Slightly darker blue than last season it seems. Still irks me that the white stripe is the only part of the kit to be white.. which is what annoys me about the shorts and socks.. had it been all red or blue in the middle I think all in all, now I've seen it various times, would have been a very good looking kit.
