  1. This isn't debating it is pure and utter whingeing and tedious personalised slagging. I have to agree that there have been many posters who have harboured overly high expectations and have criticised with no rationale. They bug me as much as the righteous who can only see just above average as their goals and are too scared to criticise AND who always look for the negativity in posts rather than taking in the whole picture. We have well exceeded the expectation levels held and aimed for at the start of the season. This season will end up being our best ever and successful. Perhaps that will suffice for some but I will always conclude that we blew a big opportunity to pick up silverware and I am nervy that we could blow the chance of an unbelievable place in Europe. My opinions are mine and probably bring about a reaction because they are thought out and rational in content - probably a happy clappers nightmare. This season is our most successful ever but it could still be an historical, unthought of and almost unbelievable - it could have been classed as sensational. Forgive me and some others for holding higher standards than others and having the temerity of passing opinion on a discussion forum. At least argue against the points and criticisms proffered rather than being a child throwing their rattle out of the pram. Who is the rattle thrower??? It must be someone who is irrational, therefor I shall not antagonise them by daring to argue opinion as it may upset the person even more. Suffice my post to be an expression of disagreement over unfair criticism. which it certainly is.

  3. To the disgruntled. Do you think that those of ( us ) who have a more optimistic ( to you happy clappers) outlook are supposed to sit back and let you would be pundits with visions of 'knowall ' grandeur put your side of things forward without reply ??? ICT have achieved what they set out to do for this season, any advance on this is bonus. Can you not just accept that ? Many of you were moaning at the start of the season about losing all you favourite players ( sounding like children having their toys confiscated ) then when the new arrivals came you said that we had no hope of getting to the top six, and fearing relegation. All last season we had to put up with your drivel about happy clapping, well now it is our turn, this season has been a success, so if you cannot see that then it is time to take your dark glasses off. Constructive criticism is good I am all for it but slagging off players and management for the sake of thinking you are making yourselves sound good is something else.
  4. Well money talks ! A Celtic side, in the second half that, that showed pure class in stages with outstanding goals to boot. How can some of you posters slam the players and manager that has taken us further than we have ever gone before. I know you will say you are just giving positive and fair criticism ! but you are not. You are slagging them off to put forward your own unprofessional opinions trying to prove yourselves as the I know better than they do brigade. We were defeated today by the league champions who have a squad of enormous proportions and capabilities far greater than our own. No shame in that ! Well done ICT you held them well 'till they eventually made the breakthrough. I'm proud of you guys and I hope we do make Europe you deserve to. In my opinion Neil Lennon with all the resources behind him could only feel ashamed if Celtic didn't win the league, He can smile now but shouldn't feel he has achieved greatness, next season could find him biting his nails again. edited to say well done Doran, a consolation maybe but a goal all the same !
  5. As usual there in spirit, in the singing/shouting section with glass full and filling. Come on ICT good luck
  6. Randolph has been a huge asset for Motherwell and instrumental in getting them to their current position. Is there any way we could bribe him to come to us?????. I love the way he ' owns ' the whole box as well as his stopping abilities. Best keeper in the SPL I think. Repeat after me------------ We are going to win on Sunday.

  8. Simply the best!! well deserved
  9. Sort of off topic but who in their right minds really want that new club that call themselves Rangers to walk straight into the SPL.. They have to earn that right and at this moment in time they are nowhere near attaining this. Already they have been spoon fed by the media with cash and coverage despite their lowly status and now there is a ploy by some of their well heeled supporters in influential positions to blackmail other Football Clubs into fast tracking them in to a new league set up. I am glad that the vote went against the first proposal, that split idea imo. would do nothing to bolster support by the fans, could have been detrimental to the honesty of the players in the game and farcical in it's outcome. Plenty better alternatives have been put forward on this thread and probably on the forums of every other Club in Scottish football so surely any Committee could find a set up which would be fair to all Clubs on present merit without showing favouritism to the poor imitation of a once great Club before it became adulterated. Leave the league as it stands next season, work on getting the right alternative, one that suits Fans, Players and Clubs, reach agreement then instigate it. 'Till then enjoy it as much as we have this season.

  11. Don't weaken now all ye faithful, ICT have achieved what they set out to do, reached the top six and now the push is really on for Europe. Keep togetherNess going, the push is really on. As tm4tj says ( slightly amended ) all games are winnable, the team is still hungry and the climb to the summit is underway. If the Highland marchers can achieve their goals then ICT can too. Just hang on tight to that resolve it could be a rocky climb. Good luck to all!!
  12. It would appear agreement on post split fixtures cant be made, what chance league reconstruction???
  13. Caddy rats showing off again, they never grow up!!
  14. I agree with all the positivity on here and as usual scorn the negativity, we are still doing fabulously well and still adding to the points total. My man of the match was Reguero thought he did a great job and boy did he get down fast to save the clean sheet. Well done Toni, please stay.

  16. Looks like togetherNess is working well nearly all signed and still a good chance of Reguero being with us for a while yet. I believe he will become first choice next season, he has developed well since joining us and continues to improve with every game he plays, his handling and positioning skills are first rate, he is brave and exudes confidence to the defence. A little more flexibility going down to the corners when he dives is required but he is a big lad which low balls can pose problems for but he even seems to be working well on that area. He will become a class act under the TB+ regime, who at the moment seem to be just keeping him in check not letting him think of himself as one of these Billy big boots!
