We are all going to the Global Energy Stadium
12th Man replied to IMMORTAL HOWDEN ENDER's topic in General Football
I will only call it the global energy stadium when they manage to harness the gasses omitting from all the rotten vegetation in Rosshire and convert it into power -
What do you think of Aberdeens Sell out Saturday. Seeing as we only play club 12 once at home, do you think we could mimic Aberdeens ethos and turn out in numbers for the first home game against Kilmarnock and get the team off to a good start in the league and help line the boards pockets. Whos up for that, who wouldnt have normally made it ? lets make it the Inverness Caledonian Thistle gathering on 11/08/12. ( you also get to laugh at the poor souls who have had to endure the long and tiresome journey from Kilmarnock. lol )

Not a bad idea about the solar panels but we can only put them up by the tea shed opposite the main stand (South facing)and the payments are dropping to 16 ppkw so theres not much money in it any more to justify paying for the install, we cant use the free version either as we can only use the electricity as its produced and that doesnt suit the demands of a football club

just paid mine

Excuse me for asking but how do you know for a fact that none of the above have any affect on a SPLs clubs' income?

Does anyone know why a club can survive in the SFL but as soon as they reach the SPL they will go bust without the old firm and if they are relegated also run up huge debts. Whats going wrong and why? 1,Is it the initial cost of having undersoil heating and 6,000 seats and being millions in debt before a ball is kicked. 2,Do clubs like to waste money. 3,The SPL, SFA and the SFL are they full of self importance and like to squander money. 4,I think clubs have a look at the books and their income reflects what they can spend here there and everywhere, the problem is that we actually play in the Old Firm League, where a huge amount of income comes from tv and sponsorship with the usual extras of Old firm home games. One half isnt here so whats next. Maybe the entry requirements could be reexamined does it cost too much to arrive in the first place? Falkirk decided not to come up one year when 10,000 seats were required, our director wasnt sure when we were just about to win promotion for the first time. 1, Seating requirement could be relaxed more to reduce it to 5,000, if they want to put in more its up to them, the Scottish government could give an interest free loan to clubs to subsidize the cost ie, a 5 year interest free loan but the government own a stand until the debt is paid, if its not paid then interest is paid to the government after 5 years. 2, Do clubs waste money? perhaps? we had to make drastic cuts dropping to the 1st division and unfortunately may have to make them again. 3, I can well imagine the people running the sport are top heavy, earn too much and dont even mention their expenses. All their outgoings are deducted before the money is passed on to the clubs that its supposed to govern, you need to halve your outgoing without Rangers 4, The media and sponsors need to be reeducated, they are going to put themselves in a very dark place if they think that they can take advantage and sponsor/ televise the SPL on the cheap, Rangers fans haven't been deported to another planet they are still out there and still watching tv, just because they're not in the SPL it doesnt mean they have all died. How many millions of people in Scotland watched the Euros and were Scotland one of the teams playing? No, I rest my case TV and Sponsorship people. Have a wee think about what to do next, you could all be deemed heros. In the here and now I would say clubs with a fan base under 4-5000 need to get rid of their high earners, or take wage cuts, it has to happen to all clubs and increase the league immediately, the 1st division clubs will be in a stronger healthier position than the lower SPL clubs so keep the 14 team to 16 team promise but do it now, it also removes the Pars v Dees problem which could run past the start of the season if there is an appeal.

I havent read all the posts and my views are if we got tied up with the 10,000 seat requirement entry to the SPL then it would be a definite yes, as if we had 10,000 seats, one stand would be dormant right now to save costs, I believe the pars did the same. Whilst Rangers are out of the league and income is low then I think it would be ok to give them a bit extra.

I will answer them in order: Yes, however the audience will be reduced by at least 40% so the broadcast contract will be reduced by at least that amount. Yes, but unlikely at the same level. The League Cup is currently searching for a sponsor I believe. Yes, but they are starting from a very low base. This will probably be a redistribution of TV money already in the game. ie. SPL offering to provide SFL with a million pounds to broadcast rangers games. Yes, at first. But it won't last. Attendence at ibrox will be a small fraction of historical attendences once the they realize their 8 players aren't competive even at Div 3. (With current players they would struggle to win promotion from Div 1) How quickly will crowds decline once this become obvious? Probably, but this will be offset by extra policing costs and the cost of stadium repairs (A cheap shot, sorry) If sporting integrity and the rules are the things that matter, then it isn't necessary to justify the financial reasons to counter somebody else's poor argument. Whether the Div 3 clubs are finacially better off or not with Rangers is Div 3 simply does not matter. Anyone who makes this argument is no better than Regan and Doncaster The sole reason for making those points was to suggest that the threats being made to the SFL clubs by Doncaster and Regan are false and some money will be created as opposed to none. The SFL clubs are being threatened with being responsible for destroying Scottish football if they do what they think is right, I am merely pointing out that it may not be as bad as they suggest.

What a clever man, he insults just about everyone, all these 'pathetic little clubs' say we dont want those arrogant tos#ers in div 1, we dont even want them in div 3, The Sweeney, aka Regan and Carter Doncaster, force themselves to create a SPL 2 and put Rangers, Rangers 2012, IOU £124,500,000, The Rangers, in the second tier and save their overinflated wages, Scottish football from ruin. How many meetings has Doncaster had with the media to get a rough guide as to what the tv companies are prepared to pay with out Rangers, if they will Honor next season without Rangers in the top flight, how much is a 2 year deal worth to follow on, considering these 2 mighty OF clubs won only 1 trophy last season between them why do they need to control Scottish football.

Interesting reading. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9376851/Rangers-hopes-of-reprieve-in-SPL-vote-sunk-by-arrogant-Malcolm-Murray.html I personally dont think Malcolm Murray destroyed Rangers chances of staying in the SPL it was already decided

Your all heart I would have put it towards a football shirt.

Like for like would be pretty hard to predict as you would have to compare todays figures with this date last year so who knows how its going. Comparing the end of the season to 2012 with the here and now, gives false numbers too as this total will also include the Christmas half season ticket. I know that some people have moved to the family section as their kids are getting old enough to go now, one person isnt renewing due to a rolling shift pattern, made about 10 games last season( hes a rangers fan but made this decision months ago) we have moved to be out of the rain a bit more, I know of another who has moved up to the top of the mainstand so even in my area it hasnt been a mass exodus but more of a relocation. Back to comparing numbers for different sections in the stands with the end of season figures, some are up some are the same and some are down so its probably the same as this time last year. It also looks like section F may be the new loud section as its filling up well.

Dear Donkey it seem like you have competition http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/rangers-newco-slow-lingering-death-for-scottish-football-if-rangers-in-third-division-1-2392610 Regan its time to move your office away from Glasgow as its influencing your thought processes too much, clubs are prepared to take a hit to do whats right but the ones at the top of the tree seem to have their own agendas. DIV 1 is wrong Div 2 is wrong. the company no longer exists. The Old firm have been trying to leave Scottish football for years so honestly Regan where do your loyalties lie.

Best western broughty ferry £78.30 bnb for 3, 1 king and 1 single in room +pool facilities, the ferrys good for pubs. Unless your staying in Livvy for free.

Dear Mr Doncaster aka Chief executive of the SPL, ITS TIME FOR YOU TO LEAVE THE ROOM the Gers will not be part of the SPL so that is where your interest in the matter finishes. It shouldnt even be your right to offer cash to the SFL that should be down to the SFA Lunches, gifts, dinners, days out, holidays if it comes to light that any club or sponsor have given you any freebies whatsoever your days are numbered.
-
The delay may be due to the fact that the outcome doesnt suit the people running the SPL, instead of clubs going against their fans wishes

Im starting to get tired of all this. If you drink drive you lose your license, does the defense state that the accused has a petrol guzzling car, drives 50k a year and pays high road tax, the jury is made up of the tax man, BP, Shell and Texaco do they assess if they will be better or worse off if they take away a drink drivers license. Im looking for a few players, someone to invest some cash and a few fans to come along as I would like to create a football club and apply to join the SPL, devastating things will happen if I dont get my way, I would also like to stick 2 fingers up at any club who has managed to get into the SPL the hard way and has taken them years to do so, as what you have achieved is irrelevant to me. It will be the people running Scottish football who will ruin Scottish football.

The story of the Scottish billy goats gruff One day some billygoats called SPL chairmen trotted over a bridge on their way to Hamden when an unpopular troll emerged and demanded that a newco Rangers joined them in the SPL. The billygoats informed the troll that they were too powerfull to allow this to happen as they had full backing from their fans and that some 1st division chairmen billygoats were due to come along shortly and they might be more of a pushover. So the unpopular troll straightened up his glasses and hid behind a tree. Some time later the 1st division billygoat chairmen trotted over the bridge, out jumped the troll and shouted 'Im an unpopular troll and I demand that you accept a new Rangers into the 1st division' One chairman said 'Are you the unpopular troll who wanted to change the SPL from 12 teams to 10 which would make it even harder for any of us to join the SPL and now you want us to take Rangers in too' the troll said 'yes Im the troll that came up with that brilliant idea.' Another Billy goat chairman said we are far too angry to allow that to happen, some 3rd division billy goat chairman are coming shortly they might be scared of trolls why dont you pester them' so the troll hid under the bridge and waited. The 3rd division billygoat chairmen arrived, the troll jumped out and shouted 'are you scared of an SPL troll' yes we are was the reply, 'Are you scared of Rangers being very angry at having to play football in the 3rd division and its all your fault', The Peterheid chairman billygoat piped up 'Its Rangers fault and not ours that this has happened, the Rangers fans are our friends now and they want to come and play with us in this division' The troll shouted 'I wont ever let Rangers join division 3 and theres nothing you can do about it' just as he said that 50,000 billygoats from govan appeared and threw the unpopular troll from the bridge into the river, never to be seen again. Scottish football lived happily ever after.
