  1. On a positive note. I heard today that some youngsters from Aviemore went to their first football match on Saturday and really enjoyed themselves.
  2. According to the SPFL website, it has indeed been moved. Now on Wednesday (28th Oct) at 2pm from Grant Street. I see also, that on Sunday 1st November, we're away to Dunfermline in the Scottish Youth Cup (last 32 stage). Thanks for the update Sneckboy
  3. I think yesterday's views were clouded by a last minute penalty, the first half we actually played not bad at all but so did the Saints, After watching them pull apart Rangers so easily in a Cup match, I thought defensively we did well and the game was pretty open. The ref was more interested in letting the game flow and freekicks were few and far between. The second half was totally different, with the early sending off you would assume we could go on and win the match but all the Perth side did was to leave one man up front and the rest of them camped inside their own half and rarely came out of it, add to that extremely slow substitutions and booting the ball out of sight for throw ins to run down the clock. If we had 70% possession over the 90 minutes, then we would have had 55% in the first half and 85% in the second. Tuesday night TV or go to the match? I'm opting for real live football, Its far better than the TV and theres even a deal on for under 16s to get in for free. With a 7:05pm ko time it's certainly doable on a school night.
  4. We lost. It's 3 points dropped. I thought it looked very much like a draw tbh. With neither side being able to break down the other. We did have a greater desire to want to win the match but just couldnt pass it through them. It was 0-0 till near the end which in my book means a point each is on the cards, If we were winning 1-0 with a few mins to go and lose 2-1, I would call that dropping 3 points. Or perhaps having numerous attempts saved and being worth of a victory. A point each would have been fair. Hope you enjoyed your Baxters soup. :-) I would imagine the faith will be fully restored by Tuesday night.
  5. Disappointing end to the match, at least we only dropped a point today as we wouldn't have deserved all 3. The Saints seemed quite happy to sit back and run down the clock for a point so were extremely fortunate to leave with 3 points. The away team reminded me of Clyde over a decade ago, big solid blokes just happy sitting behind the ball. At least Tuesday nights match should suit our style of play far more. P's can we get the correct players up for the man of the match poll
  6. At least it will save watering the pitch and the away fans at half time.
  7. Perhaps another Cup run will sweeten a new contract a little. The powers that be still have a club to run though and with that comes the responsibility of keeping the club solvent. Maybe the goalposts will move a wee bit IF we get past County on Tuesday. Then we can all have a good moan about going to a 12:15 pm Semi in Glasgow on a Sunday.
  8. I see that the fixture next week is on at the same time as our Cup fixture, is it likely to be moved?
  9. It's more the is he isn't he going that I want to move on from.
  10. We were beaten at 4:45 yesterday and that's when the defeat ended so we now move on to next Saturday. I watched the highlights, we played well and were unlucky not to take something from the game. We've now got the defeat after the possible manager move out the way so today's a new day.
  11. Or maybe get him on a 3 year deal.
  12. Our manager keeps saying that he should get better once his fitness improves, as Ive yet to see him run faster than his usual jog around the pitch, he also has a lot of good players around him for the killer pass, I wouldn't mind seeing him stay till the end of season, or longer maybe to see if he comes good.
  13. Under 21s and pensioners £15 Adults £20
  14. Any idea when the online club shop will be up and running even if its only photos and prices would be handy. Does the club have the means to purchase jd sport stock and post it overseas with additional merchandise only sold in the club shop providing all stock is paid for.
  15. We can't afford Mixu, the media reports he knocked back united in the hope of aa better paid job down south. We still have a manager so not much point in giving it much thought yet.
  16. I speak for myself and many many others and would like to say thanks for all the help and support given over the years. In the club shop and also the free time given regarding CJT. A great ambassador for the club, you will certainly be missed by the fans. I hope all is well.
  17. What ever happens the players we have are better than they were prior to Yogis appointment.
  18. To be honest, if that was true the media would be all over it. It doesn't add up either that he can speak to them today but they have stated prior to this that there will be an announcemet tomorrow. McCalls odds have now dropped to 5:1 For us no news is good news.

    Injuries.

Unless he's Dundonian Scarlet then eh has about 50 meanings
  20. General Melchett: If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through. :) Im assuming you know exactly how much it will cost for Yogi to leave before his contract finishes, or are you just assuming he is only worth his salary until the end of May.
  21. I would imagine United will look elsewhere. I would like JH to extend his contract but unless another club offers a generous amount of cash then he won't be going anywhere this season.
  22. Just try any carbrini top on in the local shop to work out what size to get.
  23. I can't look, have St Johnstone left yet and I can't believe we put a sign with Tosh on it next to our dug out.
  24. I'm sure he is very good at saying positive things about the Caley Thistle team. (compliments v complements) A couple of months ago I was heating up a tin of Baxters soup, and while waiting for the microwave 'ping' I had a look at the description on the label...and was astonished to discover that they'd sourced some talking herb! Apparently the thyme complimented the chicken! Perhaps, "good day, sir - you do look terrific, not at all fowl". Obviously, they meant 'complemented' - i.e...go well together... One swift e-mail (seriously!) and later that week, I received Baxters vouchers in the post and a letter assuring me that the error would be corrected in he next 'print run'! Sometimes, it pays to be a pedant! But, obviously, at the expense of a normal life. Thanks for taking the time to point that out. I read this whilst drinking some tea, I was thinking of using the word while but the grammar would be poor. I have also sent you an apostrophe in the post to compliment your Baxters vouchers and I'm sure he next print run will mean something to someone somewhere. PS some of your grammar in the past has been poor too but didn't want to be a d**k and highlight it. Grate win over the Shadows though we'll done.
