  1. 1964. Some of us are still surviving, surprisingly, from that era
  2. Does anyone remember the McKaskill twins, who lived, I think, over Clachnaharry way, who were very into buying and doing up cars? I remember selling them my first car, a Triumph Renown, when the steering box literally fell out of it one day up near Lochardil. The twins came and collected it and gave me ?9 for it. Mind you I'd had it nearly 2 years and had paid ?47 for it, so I wasn't complaining too much. Still, I wish I still had it today. It would be worth thousands!
  3. Yes, I noticed that. I ducked out at ?13.50. Had it been Alex Main's book about Caley however, which I don't have, I would have gone a fair bit higher!
  4. I always had a bit of time for Morgan too. I don't see his comments as anything other than slightly naive. Just the usual posturing of a new player trying to make his mark with his new club's fans. Some of what he said is true. At the moment Killie are a bigger club than us in terms of ground, crowd, wages, history. But in terms of performance, we certainly have their measure this year.
  5. With Rangers having had their last 3 games postponed, maybe they'll be short of match practice! Although, I think they're playing Gretna during this week, which unfortunately might hone them up quite nicely. Still, we've done it before...
  6. Didn't Stokes score a hat trick against us when he was at Falkirk?
  7. That'll be him out of our price bracket now. Knowing the way Hibs value their players, they'll want ?1m for him, if they let him go at all.
  8. Yes, good luck to him, after this week end! Personally, I never understood quite why he was so revered, but what do I know?
  9. Fair play to you, Proctor, for apologising.
  10. He scored one or two important goals against ICT in his time, the bar steward. Good player.
  11. I treasure my copy, and often browse though it. Out of curiosity, I just searched for it on Amazon.co.uk. There's one used copy at ?75!. I think I'll now wrap my copy in cotton wool.
  12. Agree with that.... Especially pleased for Marius who took a lot of stick from many on here.. (myself included!) Looks to have finally found his feet now, and hopefully will be with us for at least the rest of the season... :022: Agree with all that. I'm especially pleased for Marius whose hard work often goes unnoticed by some!
  13. I agree with this sentiment. We should try to keep him. Cowie/Rankin/Black is becoming a very strong midfield. Shame to break it up for a mere ?100K
  14. I'd rather have Souness than Burns anyday. Burns was utter phish when at Reading a few years back.
  15. Thanks Mantis, I'll see what I can find. If unsuccessful I'll try Leakey's next time I'm in Inverness.
  16. Was there a book published for Caley's centenary, round about the same time? If so, is it obtainable anywhere?
