I think "as we've seen in the past" is the key part of this post. Wyness was great in the lower leagues, and for a few weeks a couple of seasons ago alongside Dargo. Since then he has been very ordinary at best. Time marches on. I regret to say we've seen the best of him at ICT. I'd only be too pleased to have to eat my words on this in the future, but I suspect I won't have to. Of course this doesn't excuse the poor man management of the past week or so in how the whole sad affair has been handled. -
Being of the older school, I still find the Countdown queen, Carol Vorderman, lights my fire, and even her sidekick on Countdown, Suzi Dent is quite alluring in a schoolmistressy sort of way.

Whilst I agree that both Dennis and Barry have been great servants, the sad truth is that they are both now past their best, and although you are right that they should be treated with respect and dignity, lets face it, they don't have much more to offer ICT.

When did Marius ever "put himself about" in any match in a manner that was likely to cause injury to himself or anyone else for that matter...? Another IHE wind up I would think, and of course further opportunity for those who like to 'have a go' at Marius to satisfy their whim.

Presumably the club's change of heart re Denzil got Duncan's erse in gear to stop hissing about and put pen to paper! -
To be fair, Denzil has been pretty poor of late when he has got in the starting eleven. I notice he was hooked just after half time on Sat for tactical reasons. I am fully aware of Denzil's 'legend' status, and deservedly so, but perhaps Brew now does not rate him as highly as when he offered him a new contract. Perhaps he is right. I'm happy to wait to hear the full story, rather than be swayed by all the rhetoric on this thread.

Good to see Rory get some good press for a change. The way he has been treated on this forum over the past few months, by many so called supporters, is nothing short of disgraceful

Williamson is admittedly doing a good job at Elgin, but let's face it, there's a world of difference between SFL Div 3 and SPL. Give him another few years learning the trade.

In MHO Bayne has never been good enough at SPL level. Despite his odd important goal, they've been too few and far between. I too am surprised we didn't accept Killie's offer for him (if, in fact there ever was such an offer).

I haven't read all the preceding posts on this thread. I think I'd find it too depressing. That run of six wins when Brew was 'walking on water' seems a long time ago now. However, I cannot believe we are seriously calling for his head with the season not yet over. He wasn't my choice when he got the job, but surely he deserves a couple of seasons. We don't want to follow Newcastle's example surely, although, having said that, Keegan will be available shortly!! -

Of course we all look back with nostalgia to when we were a 'wee' team, playing and sometimes beating the 'big' teams. I somehow think it would be different if we went back down again. The SPL is where we are and where we deserve to be, even if it will be a continuing struggle to break into the top six. Relegation, I fear would be the start of several years of lower league mediocrity. -
I've still got on my car windscreen my ICT Reserved Parking sticker I got as part of the benefits package when I became a shareholder. I've never used it as I fly up if I go to a home game. I wonder what they'd do if I tried to use it now.

What a great photograph. I must admit that, had I been asked, I would have said that 'Joopy'Mitchell didn't leave Caley until a year or two later than that. It would be great to have a 'where are they now?' on all of the team shown. I know that Rod Clyne passed away many years ago, and Tom McNiven (the trainer), but I don't know about any of the others. Interesting to see how many of that Jags team also played for Caley at some point, Mitchell, Clyne, Jamieson, Christie.

Yes, I'd like to add my congratulations to all the others. In my opinion, he has been given a lot of undeserved stick on this site, from some people in particular, who see him as the reason for all ICT's backroom unrest (if there is any!). On a purely footballing front, despite being obviously unfit when he joined us, I think he is a class act, and fully deserves his recall to the Romanian squad. Personally, I hope he is still with us next season, but if he has to go, then being a current internationalist can do us no harm in the transfer market. Good luck to him
