  1. I was disappointed to see that Cove lost their 2nd leg play off final to Cowdenbeath yesterday, after being ahead at one stage. I would have liked to see another HL team make it to the higher level. It looks as if Cove not only lost the match, but also their cool, having 3 players sent off in the 8 minutes of injury time which was played!

Or, as we used to say in my youth, "It's no there noo, it must ae shifted"!
  3. Don't know if Grant is past his best now if Falkirk are releasing him. He was certainly a thorn in our side in our famous cup final victory.
  4. Great that we've taken it to the last day. Too much to expect that Dumbarton can do us a massive favour., but.......... "the fat lady has not yet sung"..... So I live in hope. What pity we could not have performed like this earlier in the season.
  5. What a sickener. Bad luck lads. Now we really do need the miracle of all miracles
  6. Good for you Mike. Enjoy. I' m currently on hols overseas, otherwise I would have joined you for this one.
  7. Well, how great was that? Dumbarton must be sick of the sight of us after these last few weeks. But how ironic it would be if they could do us a massive favour by beating Dunfrmline in their final game. Assuming we beat the Pars on Sat, that would allow us a slip up in one of our last two games. but better of course for us just to win all three of our last games The dream lives on
  8. His new club, ACS Sepsi, don't seem to agree. He hardly gets a game, even as sub. unless he has a long term injury, of course.
  9. The dream lives on. I'm actually out of the country for the next two weeks, but you can be sure I'll be following our progress online. Vital that we win the next two and then we have a fighting chance. Who would have thought a few weeks ago, that we'd even be daring to dream like this? Best of luck lads.
  10. Excellent. We could do with Falkirk getting an equaliser now.
  11. Sounds like we're well on top now. Quite rare for us to be in front after conceding first goal. Keep it up lads.
  12. Those last 5 games are going to be tough with the absences noted above. If we do come up short this season, I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that the main reason, over the season, would be our indiscipline. I've stopped counting the number of red and yellow cards we've had, plus the penalties we've conceded. Although marginally better of late it is still an issue that the manager has to get right next season.
  13. Yes, we could have done with Falkirk doing us a favour today, as realistically Dunfermline, out of the top 4, look like the only one we can catch. I'm just starting to believe that it is possible.
  14. Last night(6 Apr), Adam Evans scored his first goals of 2018, with a hat trick in a 7-0 win for Shelbourne in the Irish first division
  15. Terrific stuff. Maybe our renowned seer is going to be proven right. Let's go for it in these last few minutes.
  16. Too early to write Meekings off, but I think we had the best out of him, before his injury. Although I don't follow Dundee closely, it would appear that Meekings is nowhere near the player he was.
  17. Well, so much for lengthy bans. Smith only 1 match plus a fine, and Bancroft only a fine. Joke. Mind you ball tampering has gone on for years and usually unpunished, including, if I remember, a certain England captain, Mike Atherton.
  18. Well, as others have said, it is good to win, so I'm not going to pour cold water on it by highlighting our obvious failings. Watching the team celebrate took me back to that incredible day at Hampden nearly three years ago. It was great to see Warren finally get the medal he deserves after a long and successful career with us. Well done to him, and especially to Tremarco, whose Hampden memories are probably bitter sweet after his sending off. I just hope we can build on this for the remainder of the season, and obviously keep clear of the bottom play off spot. I've long since given up hope of us reaching the upper play offs.
  19. Very fitting that our only real player of much quality should get the winner after a great pass from our young 'star to be'
  20. Well that just about caps it all. We get a lucky penalty to save some face, and Vigurs makes ahash of it. Not for the first time. Oh dear, oh dear.
  21. Same old. Lots of possession but no real goal threat. Dumbarton looked far more dangerous on their occasional foray into our half. We did look a tiny bit more positive in the final few minutes of the half. Much more of that will be needed, if we are going to win this. Come on lads, look as if you want it.
  22. Maybe after today's abject performance against New Zealand in the first test, England will be finding English 'grannies' for the whole of the Scottish team to get them to change allegiance.
