  1. Can't disagree with that summary. Broadly speaking, that's the way it looked to me too on TV. I'm a little surprised that there are not more positive comments on here, after our biggest win in a long time, against a well fancied Morton outfit. Second half performance was just what we need. Well done lads.
  2. Well, a win is a win, so I'm grateful for that. The match stats as shown on BBC don't look too bad, but I'm looking forward to reading the first hand comments of those who were at the game. onwards and upwards.
  3. As others have said, I quite liked Storey when he was with us, but he has done absolutely nothing since, so frankly, I can't see him being better than we've currently got. Its a 'no' from me.
  4. Well, how shocking was that? Easy to blame Ridgers for his howler, but in truth Dundee could/should have scored 3 or 4. Our long ball puts towards White were poorer than schoolboy stuff. Our so-called play makers, Walsh and especially Doran created absolutely nothing. Huge improvement needed if we are to make an early impression in the league .
  5. I notice that Nathan Austin scored a hat-trick today in his first competitive match for Kelty Hearts. Pity he wasn't as prolific for us!!
  6. From a distance that felt like a really good pre season, especially the performances against the Premiership clubs. Must give us confidence for the more competitive matches about to start. I'm looking forward to the season with a good deal of optimism. Good luck lads, have a good one!
  7. I'd go with Brown Tokely Mann Warren Shinnie Wilson Christie Hayes Robson Wyness Rooney Subs :- Esson Munro Meekings Sheerin Teasdale Stewart
  8. Much as I will always remember his winning goal in the Cup Final v Falkirk, I am somewhat underwhelmed by this signing. He did not do much after leaving us, either with Dundee or Dunfermline. I am however prepared to be proved wrong.
  9. I only switched on to watch the penalty shoot out. What bottlers Utd were. Not one decent strike in 4 goes. They don't deserve to go up.
  10. Yes, I've seen Cove play a couple of times in recent years on trips up north when ICT have not been at home, and have been well impressed with them. I suspect they will do very well and climb through the lower leagues quite rapidly.
  11. Harsh penalty. No worries about what tactics we adopt second half. Go for it lads, all or nothing. .
  12. Pity. Even down to 10 men, we looked reasonably comfortable defending, until a poor error by McHattie led to the goal. But, at least we're not out of it yet. With our good away form, if we score first on Friday we'll have a decent chance. Believe!
  13. Agree about Donaldson. He is a 'red card' waiting to happen tonight. Gives away far too many free kicks. Think we're unlucky not to be ahead at half time. Keep up the good work lads, we can pinch this.
  14. I'll take that. Well done to all concerned. Hope we didn't pick up any injuries. Same again next week will do nicely. Onwards and upwards.
  15. Stuart Armstrong, if you count playing for ICT youth team.
  16. Well done lads, that was just what the doctor ordered. I'll happily take a draw on Saturday now. Onwards and upwards.
  17. After the News of the World 'sting' all those years ago I went right off Higgins. He got a 6 month ban, yet his manager was banned for life for the same incident. How does that work? In my view Higgins was incredibly lucky not to get the same punishment as his manager. I hope Trump beats him 18-0.
  18. Yes, 3rd place excellent. Better than it looked for much of the season. Well done to all concerned. Roll on the play-offs. Onwards and upwards.
  19. Frankly, I'd be very disappointed if Doran chose to leave ICT for anyone else, after the years we have paid him top money when he was almost permanently injured.
  20. Excellent report by Rig. But a bit worrying. In his words we got away with a 'real smash and grab'. Still, we've been on the other side of that coin once or twice this season, so I'm happy to take the 3 points and move on. I don't mind if we have the same 'rub of the green' next Saturday. We have it all in our own hands now for converting an 'average minus season' into another memorable one. So well done to the team for giving all we supporters some thing to look forward to in the next few weeks. Onwards and upwards.
  21. Excellent result, and with Dunfermline dropping points, it makes it even better. Should put us in good fettle for next Saturday. Can't wait. Onwards and upwards
  22. Talking of some of our ex players like Mckay and Rooney, I notice another, Scott Boden, now playing for Chesterfield, has scored 20 goals so far this season (2018/19), including 12 in the past 3 months. Wonder if he'd like another stint up north??
  23. Disappointing. Not often I join the ref was a w***** brigade, but where do I join up? Apart from that, our defending at set pieces was poor. White is not a penalty taker, but apart from that, he had a good game. Doran not his dominant self tonight. We had a good spell for about 20 mins in first half, but were always up against it after that. We really could do with getting even a point at Ayr to keep the chasers at a safe distance. See some of you at Hampden!
  24. Listened to some of the commentary. Sounded like a really poor game/performance. Pity our good form of late disappeared today , especially as County and United both lost. Hoping for better things on Tues night. We are still well positioned for a play off spot, so lets hope we can hold on to that. And of course, a couple of great performances at Hampden could still turn a mediocre season into an exceptional one. Onwards and upwards.
  25. 3rd or 4th doesn't really matter. As I understand it we would still have to win 3 ties to gain promotion. Only by getting to 2nd would we have fewer ties to win to go up. But, of course, from a confidence point of view, 3rd might give us a small edge over 4th. Anyway, we seem to be on a bit of a roll now, so let's hope it continues for another couple of months.
