Very pleased with another, fairly comfortable 3 points. Pity Dundee Utd got those 2 last minute goals in their match. Very disappointing crowd. Let us keep this good run going and see how things stand in a few weeks. I'm getting more optimistic every week.

Being selfish, a nice little hour and a half drive up to Solihull would suit me. It would feel like a home game. Otherwise any of the Irish or Welsh teams would be an interesting tie, home or away.

Whilst I agree that the club is being seen to be taking some action, because of a small minority of unruly visiting 'away fans', surely, especially for the probable,even fewer number, who will travel north for this next 'minor' cup game, just sticking them in a far corner of the uncovered main stand would have been enough. Then we could all have prayed to the rain Gods!! Opening the South stand for a handful of visiting fans does not make economical sense.

I presume he might have. He has now scored 17 goals for them since signing in mid July. Pity he didn't do that with us!

Can't disagree with that summary. Broadly speaking, that's the way it looked to me too on TV. I'm a little surprised that there are not more positive comments on here, after our biggest win in a long time, against a well fancied Morton outfit. Second half performance was just what we need. Well done lads.

As others have said, I quite liked Storey when he was with us, but he has done absolutely nothing since, so frankly, I can't see him being better than we've currently got. Its a 'no' from me.

Very interesting s-c. The back of the orphanage abutted Daviot Drive, as you said, which was one of our main playgrounds for many of us Hilton lads in the 50s. We used to call it Daviot Oval in the summer months when cricket was all the go, but also used it for football too, with jackets for the goalposts. Re Tom McKenzie, he was a great friend of my parents, and visited us regularly, once a week in Dell Road, for a cuppa and whatever cake my Mam had recently baked. I never knew he was a product of the orphanage. Maybe my parents knew, but never told me, as I was adopted, and but for their kindness in 'taking me in', could well have ended up there myself.

Well, how shocking was that? Easy to blame Ridgers for his howler, but in truth Dundee could/should have scored 3 or 4. Our long ball puts towards White were poorer than schoolboy stuff. Our so-called play makers, Walsh and especially Doran created absolutely nothing. Huge improvement needed if we are to make an early impression in the league .

Yes, I remember it well from my youth. I too have not been in it for years/decades, but sad to see it go. Who remembers Hetty's shop further up, at the top of Castle Street?
