  1. Yes, after those two shocking decisions in the second half, we did well to hold on. Well done lads.
  2. Unbelievable. I thought the ref had given us a penalty at first.
  3. Well, lets hope that equaliser (hardly merited imo), coupled with a good rollicking in the interval will give us the motivation to go on and win this game.
  4. ffs what is our defence doing? The Rangers youngsters are causing us problems every time they go forward. If things don't improve this is going to be one our more embarrassing defeats. Get a grip lads.
  5. Friday evening could not be worse for me. I really wanted to come up for this game but I have a function on the Friday night I can't get out of now. I'd even tentatively earmarked suitable flights for both the Sat and Sun thinking that it would be on either of these dates. Won't even be able to watch it on TV now.
  6. Yes, great to be in another QF. Do we want a winnable home match or a big pay day away to one of the ugly sisters? I'd go for the winnable one I think to give us another SF to look forward to.
  7. Well, it looks as if I spoke too soon. Good on you lads. Never mind the quality, a win will do.
  8. No shots on target, by either side, after an hour's play! Does that tell us non attendees all we need to know about the quality of this game?

  10. I'd be there! Only about 3 hours each way from me!
  11. Warrington Town play in the Northern Premier league (Premier Division), 7th tier of English football. I believe David had expressed an interest in coaching whilst he was with us, but it obviously did not happen for him with us. A pity imo. But who knows what will happen in the future? I actually thought he had retired as I had not seen or heard anything about him since he left Wrexham. It was only by accident that I spotted he had scored on Saturday. I was actually checking the scores in that league looking for someone else!!
  12. David Raven scored for Warrington Town last Saturday, his first time on a scoresheet since a rather more memorable goal in Glasgow almost 5 years ago!
  13. I remember the Islands hotel too. My old Dad was head gardener there before I can even remember. We stayed in the cottage next door, called 'Willowbank'. Hotel at that time was owned/run by the Cummings family. We moved from there further along the road (towards Holm Mills) to the Carol Nursing home where he took up a similar position. There we lived in a converted stable block behind the nursing home, backing onto Drummond Crescent.
  14. Well done guys. Nothing like a nervy finish. Glad we got through that one.
  15. New it well back around 1959/60 when I worked there as a general 'dogsbody' during college holidays. Was it Don MacKenzie who ran it in those days? Also visited it many times in later years when visiting Inverness to see my old Mum. She loved being taken to the Scottish show it hosted throughout the summers. Saw some good 'turns' there, Andy Stewart, Colin Stuart, Calum Kennedy to name just 3, but my personal favourites were the Marlettes (Bob & Maggie).
  16. Well done lads. A great result. Looking forward to seeing the comments of those who were at the match. Onwards and upwards.
  17. Wow, what a start! Let's hope we can see this one through.

  19. Again, during 2019, I kept my spreadsheets of ex ICT goal scorers going (perhaps not quite as carefully as I once did!). Nevertheless, I found 74 scores achieving 450 goals amongst them. The stand out clearly is Nat Austin who scored 40 in 25 games in 5 months, for Kelty Hearts. Amazing, even at that level. Here is my list :- 40 goals N Austin (Kelty Hearts) 28 " A MacRae ( 17, Forres : 11, Brora R) 24 " S Sutherland (22, Elgin : 2, Peterhead) 22 " S Boden (19, Chesterfield : 3, Gateshead) 21 " R Christie ( 20, Celtic : 1, Scotland) 20 " S Soane ( Forres) 19 " L Doumbouya (Trat ) 15 " D Gillespie ( Brora R) 13 " G Wood ( Formantine) 12 " T Agdestein ( Aalesund), A Sutherland ( Rothes), D Ebbe ( TNS) 11 " A Rooney ( Salford), A MacAskill ( Buckie) 10 " J Baird ( 9, Forfar : 1 Raith), P Roberts ( 8, Dartford : 2 Hayes) 09 " R McAllister (Peterhead), T Sho-Silva ( 5, Halifax : 3, Margate) 08 " Z Elbouzedi ( 6, Waterford : 2, Ireland U21), B Mckay (Ross Co), G Oakley ( Hamilton), F Morais ( 5, Crawley : 3, Oldham) 06 " A MacDonald ( Brora R), H Anier ( 5, Suwon FC : 1, Estonia) 05 " C Allen ( Glentoran), B Greenhalgh ( Dartford), C Dingwall ( 4, Inverurie : 1, Formantine) D Park ( 4, Cove : 1, Formantine), A Greig ( Formantine) 04 " A Fisher ( 3, Exeter : 1, Yeovil), C Bell ( 3, Preston Lions : 1, South Shields), G Morrison ( Brora R) 03 " J Roberts ( Ipswich), I Sekajja ( 2, Gosport : 1, Maidenhead), J Chalmers ( Ross Co), M Finnis ( Clach) J Wilson ( Rothes), A Evans ( Longford ), J Oswell ( Wrexham), G Shinnie ( 2, Aberdeen : 1, Derby) 02 " N Ross ( El Paso Loco), D Proctor ( E.
