As predicted: this one of several ill-informed comments on the Scotsman article about Ryan winning the award: "Never heard of the lad so good of the hootsman to inform us that he played for Inverness Thistle. I think this is one of those cases where it is definitely a case of the players knowing more than the 'football writers'. The players voted for Jason Denayer and on all checks and balances - appearances, trophies, international recognition - that would be the correct decision. It seems that the 'football writers' have gone more with the heart as I suspect very few of them have seem the lad play any more than a handful of games this season...." Everything through green-tinted specs, you understand!

First ever ICT player to win the football writers' young player of the year (Ryan Christie).

Looks like it! Superb achievement! Cue whinging from Celtic! http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32771773

Great for Gary Warren to grab one today - a chance for a wee celebration to make up for the final disappointment. Doran and Vincent excellent today. Nick Ross made an impact too. Great to have so much competition for places! The free sombreros and beach balls were a great idea. Well done ICT and thanks for a truly memorable season....and still the big one to come!

Pleas let's sell out Hampden and put on a firecracker of a final - let's stick it right up those who think that a "good" final needs a "big" team in it.

Clarkson released by Dundee.....

When we have good youth players like Ferguson and Sutherland why bother with kink JH must see something in Kink.....I must confess the fleeting glimpses I've seen of him he has been really poor, but maybe that's because he's not yet had enough of a run out. I agree with the above posts: let's concentrate on getting Ofere, Devine, Ross, Polworth (no mention of him!) and the best of the Development Squad signed up.

It's going to be a cracker, Dealwithit! The authorities may not like it because 2 "unglamorous" have earned the right to compete for the cup, but that is they clearly have a problem with the definition of "glamour". Two good footballing teams will go head to head on 30th May. May the best team (ICT!!) win. Can't wait!

Willie Collum!!!??? :redcard:

...not only that, getting to the group stages would be incredibly demanding for a very small squad like ours and would seriously impact on our league form. I'm with the posters above - go and enjoy the experience using the format that has served us well over the last few seasons. A couple of loanees might be an idea to add a bit of depth with minimal risk, but financial stability is paramount.

OK, so Raven out means that Meekings goes to right back and Devine gets the whole game.

21. Most top flight league wins in a season 22. Most top flight corners in a season (!) 23. Most top flight shots in a season (!!) ......I've found a great site for these kind of meaningless statistics, so they'll keep coming.

If right, we're probably at about 8000 sold then.

Tricky. We need to get the balance right between resting players and maintaining momentum, as well as giving game time to those who will feature in the final (e.g. Devine). I'd go with: Esson Raven Meekings Warren (Devine for 2nd half) Shinnie (Tremarco at 60 min) Tansey Draper Watkins Christie (Ross or Doran at 60 min) Williams Ofere Subs: Mckay, Tremarco, Devine, Ross, Polworth, Doran, Ferguson Time to really use the subs for more than just a few minutes at the end to waste time. You also want to give "fringe" guys the chance to stake a claim for a starting place in the final.

Nice thinking, Scotty, but I'm afraid we've got a while stack more achievements to go in before the final! For example, best goal difference and fewest goals conceded are a possibility. I'll need to check, bu most wins in top flight is likely too. Sorry to spoil your symmetry, but the team's just been too successful!

I'm a bit overwhelmed, to be honest! Wow! What a team! What a club! What a season! It doesn't get any better than this.....unless they lift the cup on 30th of course! Beach balls for Saturday? Well done to everybody connected to the club: wish I'd been there...

Really you think ? It doesn't matter what way you spin it, this attendance is not good! HThe weather, midweek fixtures, Champions League etc, etc) all combined to make it what it was. Scant consolation is that, while our attendances are poor (given our league position and this historic season) Hamilton, Partick T and Ross County all have smaller attendances this season, while St Mirren, Kilmarnock, Motherwell and St J have similar average gates to us. So, the problem is not ICT's, it is Scottish Football as a whole.

Exactly - not impossible! I agree with DD that we need to seize the day at Dundee and get this over and done with.

Devine scored against Raith, I believe (header at the far post from a corner). Highlights here: Looks like devine was pretty unlucky with the backpass and Esson did well to beat Ciftci to it. What a miss by Ofere at the beginning of the 2nd half! Glad we didn't live to regret that!
