That is truly shocking! Wait till Charlie sees that - he'll be spitting mad. Imagine if Liam Henderson was mistaken for a rangers player..

Shifty Ciftci
Congratualtions to all those of you who correctly indicated that the SFA review panel would not uphold Cifci's "conviction". What is the point in all this nonsense? For me, the outcome should have been: 1. Cifci - guilty as charged 2. Van Dyke - guilty as charged 3. Paton - acquitted (mistaken identity) 4. Butcher - guilty of Paton's crime 5. Connelly - guilty of diving 6. (more questionable) - Brown guilty of a dangerous tackle Only the decision on Paton was correct - FARCE!!!

Semi Final Venue
Semis-finals should not be at the national stadium because it detracts from the honour of getting there for the final! This is particularly true in Scotland when very few teams will have sufficient support to generate a decent atmosphere in such a large stadium. However, the SFA rules are what they are and, despite my reservations above, I'm delighted the players will get to play there - I just hope it is twice in quick succession!

Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers
The 4-4-2 was quite effective, with width from Shinnie and Raven, who hugged the touchline throughout. The only problem with it is that Raven isn't quick enough to make an impact when he receives the ball so deep and we generally didn't get it to him quick enough to give him space. I would really like to see us playing 4-2-3-1, with Ofere up top and Doran and Watkins wide, Christie in behind. Christie didn't have his best last night.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
Fair play - this is what I was worried about (Monday isobar chart), but in fairness, it's a great day do far!

Scottish Cup 2015 - Semi-finals
First....win against Raith. Second, hope Celtic and United continue to accumulate red cards. Then whip whoever wins.

Summer football
I think the biggest benefit would come from TV money.I suppose the theory is that there is less sporting competition for TV audiences, so Sky and BT might entertain a decent contract for Scotland to satisfy a year-long appetite. Savings would include reduced need for floodlighting. The international and European timetable is a consideration, but other countries manage it.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
...maybe on Tuesday, but big storm to hit on Monday and the ground already saturated...

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
Looks like it'll be no better on Tuesday!

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
...and there you have it! I'm not sure how much the postponement will cost, but given the difficulties faced by home, and particularly away, fans for a Tuesday night game, coupled with many preferring not to brave the elements and to watch the CL instead, will make for a crowd reduction of ~1000 IMO. It's simple, Scottish football cannot compete with winter weather and better football on Sky. Summer football would avoid both these issues.

PITCH INSPECTION GAME OFF
kind of hoping it's off - cr@p pitch and a gale will make for a terrible game.

Ex-ICT players' news
I liked him at ICT - did a good job for us and always sad to hear a player's career being cut short.

Exactly what proof is needed - if that happened in the street it would be GBH. Shambles.

Contract Situation
What is Polworth's natural position? I recall him playing DCM for Scotland Schoolboys years ago and the only time I've ever seen him in a different position was against St Johnstone where he was rotten playing off the striker. speaking to a guy who used to play with Polworth through the youth ranks, his opinion was that Polworth's best position was in centre mid of a 4-4-2. I get the feeling that, like with Nick Ross, there is some confusion as to how to fit these guys into the 4-2-3-1 formation that is serving us so well at the moment. Neither are natural CDMs or wingers - I think Christie is probably better than both in the hole behind the striker. So, we're left with the dilemma of two good (local!) footballers on the fringes of the team. Square pegs in round holes?

Contract Situation
Not sure about Horner - is he cover for Raven, perhaps? Fantastic, if we retain all the others. Poloworth is a very good footballer: I'm not sure he's ever been played in his rightful position for the first team (he's not a central defensive midfielder) - he also has a wicked free kick. He will come good! It would be good to retain Nick Ross, too. Again, he plays football the JH way and he's clearly worked hard on the defensive side of the game. Hopefully Ofere will prove hs worth and Ferguson and Sutherland will also be kept....then I think we're just about there for next season!

Replacement Striker?
Jeez - have you seen the photo of Kink on the BBC website? Terrifying! When he quits football, he'd make a good Bond villain....

Raith Rovers Game Team
Watkins, Christie, Doran and Ofere sounds a deadly attack to me! This is a vital game for the season - no margin for error. Play at our best and we'll starve Raith of possession, but cup games rarely go like that! COME ON LADS!
